Georgie whipped around to look at the hooded man, she smiled brilliantly and trotted toward him "you know how to find him don't you" she asked her eyes shining

Dovev looked at the small girl, crouching down. He wasn't sure why, but he always had a soft spot for children. At her question, his mouth quirked into a smile behind the bandanna. "Of course I can find him... I can do one better. I can tell you the color of his eyes, how he cuts his hair, how tall he is... and how long he's been gone. I am a tracker by trade. You've seen hunters, right? I'm like that. Except, I hunt and retrieve people." He explains, standing up once more.

His gaze turns to Ondine. "Of course... I require a finder's fee. I'm the best of the best, and where he is, isn't going to be easy to get into." He folds his arms, hinting that he knows where the man is hidden, but not bothering to explain how he knows what he knows. "I take payment in different options. Trades, cash, and favors. Since I don't think you can afford me in cash, I'm willing to do it for a trade...or a favor." Many people owed him favors, and he always cashed out in some way. When he did, it was usually for information, valuable items, or an ally.

Ondine spun on her heel, pulling her knife from her boot in a flash. Pointing it at the hooded boy. With a scowl on her face. She didn't trust him, "Georgie, don't talk to strangers." She scolded, holding her hand tightly. "And what kind of favor would you suggest?" She hissed, very suspicious.

Georgie obeyed and took a step back, she looked fearfully up at him and held tightly to Ondine's hand, she wondered if the hooded man was bad

Fellwyn wound her way through the usual crowds of the main path through town on a weapon delivery. So many stares were coming from the surrounding passerby. This was why she so hated these delivery trips. Everyone mist think her the lowly scoundrel that were her family's main source of business. Then again, she couldn't blame the accusing glares of the pedestrians. How suspicious must she look, a woman with a sword case! And especially in these hard times where you never knew which seemingly innocent face could mask a misleading Mage or Rogue! In some cases often both. Indeed it wasn't the best of times to be doing this chore. But if it helped her fathers shop, well then keep your head down Fellwyn and get on with your job!

He looked to the knife, a quirked eyebrow showing how unimpressed he was by the meager weapon. "That's not the question. The question is, what would you do to get Bane back? After all... I know where he is." He folds his arms. "And even if I told you, you wouldn't get within three miles to the place alive. My skill is retrieval. Know what that entails? Fighting skill, surveillance, and knowledge. My favors can be small, or they can be large. However, this is a special case." His mouth twitched into a smile. "You'll owe me favors. It could be eavesdropping, and it could be stealing."

Dovev tilted his head, growing serious. He walked forward, disregarding the blade. "But if you don't hire me, and go for someone cheaper... You'll never see Bane again. Cheap is sloppy, and sloppy gets you killed." He stopped when the point of the blade poked him in the chest, red eyes meeting Ondine's. "Yes... or no."

Ondine's breath hitched and her heart faltered, the idea that she could get Bane back was so compelling. She wanted him so badly. And she knew Georgie did too. Ondine thought about his words, gripping the knife more tightly, her mind racing, she leaned close to his face. Looking him in the eye "I am a master of theivery, and disguise. What do I have to do." She whispered, not wanting Georgie to hear and think that doing what she did was okay for her to do.

(Oooh. This is good.

His eyes remained locked with hers, "then you're a tool. But if you die... who takes care of the girl? Georgie, is it? I'm good at my job, Ondine. I'm in, and I'm out without a trace. I've taken Kings... You? Your skill may come in handy someday, but mine can save lives, or it can take them." He goes silent for a while, then his hand moves suddenly, knocking the dagger out of her hand and sending it spiraling. Afterwards, he didn't touch her, but his look said enough. Get out of my face.

"So, am I hired, or are you willing to take the chance that you'll never see Bane again?" He asks, eyes meeting hers with confidence. "I don't like waiting much longer." His voice lowers, only Ondine would be able to hear his next words. "I've been watching you and the girl for months now. That's how good I am. I'm the only one who will be able to retrieve Bane alive."

Georgie looked up at the two adults, she heard Ondine say something and the man reply, but the words were too soft to distinguish, he knocked the knife out of Ondine's hand and Georgie jumped watching the weapon land on the ground

Bane slid down the damp wall and lay in a puddle of blood, his arms shook from laboring in the tunnels, the mages could have done it by magic, but they loved to watch the misery of their prisoners

(oh you have no idea *cue evil laugh* just a question, should I bring back the dragon?)
