"blackberries..." tish hardly could keep the words from leaving her lips as a sweet vendor pulled her hand close, palm up, letting the juicy treats roll into her fingers. "they're $3 dollars a pound miss, but for you, i'll only ask for half and a few seconds more of that beautiful smile..." a twinkle played in the woman's eye and tisha bit her rosy lip, her cheeks filling with color, "i suppose i can spare that... they are delicious..." deep inside, she felt the warmth of her memories returning and her heart swelled. it was all so distant but so familiar at the same time. "thank you my dear," the woman tittered with contentment, "i'll have more for you tomorrow if you get the hankering!" she was precious. with a grateful smile and nimble fingers, she popped one in her mouth and nodded her thanks. perhaps a pretzel would make the perfect pairing.
she moved from the little woman's stall, on to the next. hand-crafted pottery. it was breathtaking, each piece unique and charismatic in its own way. next, chocolates of all shapes and sizes. beautiful, but too rich in flavor and in price for her pockets at the moment. off to the right hung weavings, and the left, windchimes. these were only things she had heard about and dreamed of. no one had described them with the beauty that they surely deserved. every string, shard of glass, grain of clay, morsel of milky cocoa... each were minuscule bits of eden to her eyes and to her heart.
finally, pretzels up ahead, and a quick conversation left her with the largest doughy twist she could carry. she giggled to herself, wishing she could stay all day at this intriguing little paradise, but she knew she had work to do.
where is the rebel booth?
