"Da-" His jaw hung open. He was mentally preparing himself, but actually seeing the wolf is a whole other story.
"..........Impressive!" He managed to squeak out. After a minute, he kind of adjusted.
"Wow... That is seriously awesome..." He sat, cross legged in front of her.

The wolf hung her tongue out of her mouth in a dog like smile and bumped Jay's shoulder with her head. She stood and motioned her head to her back.

Jay stood hesitantly.
"Y-you can't be serious..." But he approached her anyway, and had a hand on her back.

Night nodded then bumped Jay's knee, lifting him slightly and motioned towards a large cave opening about 3 miles up the mountain.

"...What the hell? This is a once in a lifetime thing..." He muttered to himself and climbed onto her back.

She smiled and bunched her legs, taking off at a full sprint up the mountain. She jumped over a large rock and slide to a stop inside the cave, spraying rocks and gravel across the cave. She laid down and allowed Jay to slide off of her.

"Oh, christ..." He gasped, then straightened.
"...This is rather nice for a cave!"

Night changed back into her human form and nodded. "This is where I call home. Hunters don't ever leave the city and as you can see it's a really short run for me. Very secure."

The entire time, Evette had been following them. It started when she was hiding in a bush, then she saw the girl drag Jay away. She decided to peer into the cave, when

she tripped over a rock.

Instinctively Night turned into a wolf and leapt between Jay and the cave entrance, a loud snarl ripping out of her throat as she stared out into the weakening sunlight.
