The Edge (Sci-Fi; Accepting)

Miles

Miles rubs his neck absently, as is his constant habit. "You sure?"

Mikaelan

Mika finishes a phrase of what sounds like gibberish to the untrained ear and peeks open one unseeing eye. "Did you need assistance, clan mother?" She asks softly in the same melodic tone she uses to pray.

Niami puts her hand to her face checking for any blood, "What am I bleeding?" she asked slightly worried

Vadai shook her head slightly, "No, I'm just worried about you" she said in a soft voice

Em

In response, Em starts to run faster, not willing to give up without a challenge. She's bound not to win, as she's only human, and she's a short one at that, but there's honour to consider. Also, she's not entirely sure she trusts that Mei truly wants to help her, despite what she says. Something in Em's brain always stops her from trusting easily.

Sinfer

"So, what did you do to upset Mikaelan?" Sinfer asks in an accusing tone, leaning up against the entrance to Nova's room. He folds his arms, frowning, knowing for sure that the blame lies with Nova.

Mei

Mei does everything with visible ease; she laughs, speaks, moves, runs, fights, thinks, all with the greatest of ease. Now is no different; she chases ofter Em with no great hurry or agitation, only confident determination. The human will get tired, and Mei will triumph. She knows it in her being, like she always knows she will succeed, with her unfailing confidence and ability. So, she easily keeps in step with the girl, never falling behind or racing ahead. "Will this go on long?" She calls with a laugh.

Miles

Miles shakes his head, laughing. "Not externally." He quips. "But I think it would take a little examination to know for sure if there's any internal damage." He winks, and it's clear he's only joking.

Mikaelan

"Why would you be worried about me?" Mika says, with feigned surprise. "I'm usually the one worrying."

Ivy laughed. She bounced up and down on her feet. "I want to do something," she said suddenly. "I'm tired of just sitting around up here and waiting."

[Kankri Vantas]

Nova looked up at Sinfer and growled, "Why do think I upset her? How do you know it wasn't your stupid face that upsetted her." He said not exactly liking Sinfer leaning on his door

Niami scoffs slightly a light blush playing on her pale cheeks, "Well, I'm heading to bed now. Wake me when dinner is ready"

Vadai frowns slightly, "I'm worried about you as a friend, you're acting different than you usually do"

Miles

"Will do," Miles said, saluting Niami before turning to Ivy. "Just what did you have in mind, exactly?" He asks with one brow lifted.

Mikaelan

"People falling from the heavens is not a usual circumstance." Whispered the little thing, pastel green ears twitching slightly before flattening against her head. She smoothed the fur on her tail with careful fingers. "I'm perfectly fine, clan mother. I live to serve the clan." She bowed her head, dutiful as ever.

Em

So, this wasn't working. It seemed that this 'chase' could last forever. Fine, if Em wasn't going to win on speed, she'd have to try and use her wits instead. Coming to a very sharp halt, she sighed, a little over-dramatically, and merely replied, "Fine. Have it your way. I'll stop."

Sinfer

"Because she's used to my stupid face, and she was with you before-hand. And it's always your fault." Sinfer knew he was treading dangerous water here; Nova might be a little bit less suited to fighting than himself, but he was still very good, and he was a good six inches taller, In a physical scrap it could well go either way.

Ivy shrugged. "I don know, just something. I'm not very good with sitting still for long," she replied. "To be perfectly honest I would love to get out of this tree."

Mei

Mei digs her heels into the dirt, stopping almost immediately about a yard from the little human. She watches her carefully, but doesn't make a move in Em's direction. "That so?" She asks coolly, the corner of her mouth lifting slightly. "Just like that?" Asks the bounty hunter, an edge in her voice.

Miles

Miles nods at this. "Alright, let's make hell." Without another moment's pause he starts for the ladder to the ground.
