Evie was smiling until Jason mentioned a sort of sensitive topic. "I really don't know what to say to that, except that I'm not surprised about my 'friend'. She really screwed me over." Evie squinted up at him. "And it would still work because the term is 'liked'. That was last year." She said casually. She dove underwater, breathing steadily. This particular pool was decorated to be a nice place for sirens, and Evie saw something amongst the coral. She came closer but she couldn't recognise it as anything in particular. She glided back up to the surface and called to Jason. "Hey, do you have a minute? Promise you won't get wet. I think I found something." She made a little air bubble with her right hand to show him what she meant, that he would be able to breathe.

Sarin laughed as he watched Amber rise up and yell. He shrank and soon joined her, laughing. "Wow, I'm really going to love this school!" He told her, grabbing her hands excitedly. "...Sorry." Once he realised he was holding her, Sarin went red and let go of Amber's hands. "I just get so excited sometimes, you know? Our lives are full of wonders..." He looked first at Amber, then up at the ceiling.

"I promise you I hate when we have to go into the pool in PE remember the wet dog smell the whole day?" Jason said as he got up and went over to her. "What do you want me to do?" He was confused by what she wanted. He also thought the pool looked weird all the time.

Amber was too excited to have known that he even touched her hand. She was oblivious to a lot of things when she was excited. "I really love this place already!" She said. She then looked at Sarin well mainly his wings. "You know orange wings are sometimes associated as nobility in the fairy areas. Purple are usually a sign of royalty." She said which it just sounded like a random fact.

Evie chuckled at the memory. "Trust me, it's not like that." She pulled her palms apart and made a bubble, then guided Jason's head through it. She made it big enough to fit the werewolf inside. "There, you can go underwater now and you won't get wet." She explained. She let herself go down under the water and looked up at him, waiting.

Sarin was glad that Amber didn't seem to notice him grabbing her hands. "A noble fairy, eh?" He grinned, circling around her. When she said purple wings showed a sign of royalty, he looked at her. "I guess you're a princess then." He said quietly.

"Jason was very skeptical about the bubble but he followed her. "You know I am trusting you a lot with this for hardly knowing you." He said. He was looking around in the pool. "Alright this is pretty cool." He commented

"Yeah actually. It where I live still goes by the old traditions. So yeah parents are the King and Queen of that place. I can't really do much. At home I can't even talk to guys." Amber said. As she fluttered her wings a bit she batted him lightly.

Evie heard his being skeptical. "Oh, shut up, you've known me for 3 years." she rolled her eyes and said. "Of course it's cool, much better than up there." She gestured to above the surface of the water. "Check this out..." Evie put out her hand for Jason to take. She swam downwards, towards the weird floating object that was slowly drifting away. "Do you see what I see?" She asked him.

Sarin opened his eyes wide. "Wait, really? That's so interesting." He mused. Sarin listened as Amber talked more. "That sounds awful. I can't imagine that." He felt her wings lightly brush his and his wings fluttered by instinct. They did that whenever he got nervous or flustered, he hoped Amber didn't know this.

Jason looked at the object and it looked familiar to him. Like something his old roommate had that he got rid of because it kept burning him in the dorm. "That is silver... something I can't touch..." He said. He really hated being near silver because sometimes he didn't even have to touch it just be in close proximity to it for it to burn him.

"You are really the first guy I have ever spoken to." Amber said. She didn't notice that he was possibly flustered. She just hoped that with the information he just got from her is that he didn't treat any differently from anyone else.

Silver...Evie looked at Jason. "Are you ok? If you don't want to be near it, you don't have to." She said, feeling guilty that she had brought him to something silver. She swam closer to him, further away from the silver object. "Do you recognise it?" She asked, looking at him.

Sarin got to a point where he could control his stupid wings and he heard what Amber said. "Well, I wouldn't say you're missing out. Most guys are jerks." He admitted. "You're the first fairy girl I ever saw. Your wings are very pretty." He gave her a compliment, blushing a little.

"Yeah the silver object my vampire roommate last year had and would sneak it near me when I was asleep to burn me with. On the last day of school I risked burning my hand just to get rid of it and threw out the window. I never cared where it landed as long as it was away from me." Jason said. He headed for the surface to get out of the pool.

"Sarin I wasn't even allowed to talk to my own father because of that rule. and thank you for the compliment." Amber said looking at him. She was smiling softly. Not many who complimented her ever really meant what they said. Although she believed that he really meant what he was telling her.

Evie felt really bad for making Jason go near the silver, especially after what he said about his old roommate. "What is it? The silver thing?" She asked. She was still curious. "I'm really sorry you had to deal with that, Jason." She said solemnly, referring to what he had said about his old roommate. She rose higher towards the surface of the water. She waited to see if Jason wanted to get out.

Sarin felt stupid. "Amber- I'm really sorry, I didn't know that." He apologised. "I'm sorry" He found himself saying those two words so often today, he wondered if something was wrong with him. "I- I really don't know how to talk to you." He looked down and admitted. Sarin didn't explain his words further.

Jason got out of the pool first before replying. He sighs once on land again. "That is a silver pendant that some vampires have to hurt werewolves." He said.

Amber looks at him a bit confused. She didn't understand why he had said sorry multiple times. "You don't have to keep saying sorry. And this is a learning process first both of us." She said
