Rowan laughed, "I am not who I seem," she joked lightly, waving her hands. She meant it as a joke but sometimes it almost seemed true to her. Rowan grinned as he waved his hand through the raven which was seemingly unfazed until it disappeared a moment later. "That'd be good at night." She smiled lightly, not feeling as awkward as before. Rowan nodded knowingly, sometimes her power could act up like 5 year old child. "My ah, power also likes to act up so stuff that's on my mind can pop up...it's quite difficult sometimes but I imagine your kind of difficult is much different from mine."

The last time Charlotte ever saw public school was years ago, in kindergarten. She was yanked out by her family, who insisted a private education would do well for young ladies like her. The girl rolled her eyes in thought, leaning away from everyone into the safety of the bus seat. Charlotte had no idea of what else to do; she had rarely even stepped foot out of her family's estate.

Everything about the girl screamed foreign. Her face was neatly made up and her pale lips kept in a strict line. Chestnut hair came down in waves on her maroon cardigan. Her whole demeanor felt different than everyone else, who seemed relaxed and casually chatting with their neighbor. Charlotte leaned forward, her hand supporting her chin. Hopefully, she thought, we'll be getting close to the school.

orion nodded at the mention of his power being better at night and smirked, pulling his hand out of the shadow and relaxing his muscles. "it's unspeakably better at night. i can show up anywhere at anytime in a split second, provided it's dark enough." he shuddered, knowing that while his power was stronger at night, the void was as well. happy thoughts, orion, the boy thought.

he gave a chuckle at the thought of rowan's power acting up. "i'm sure that could create some awkward situations, huh? or maybe some scary ones?" just as he finished his sentence, something through the window behind rowan caught his eye. a bridge, and across that bridge, an outrageously sizable facility- ensworth academy itself. he couldn't help but be impressed by the elegance and massive scale of the school. he let out a half-disappointed, half-excited exhale as the thought of his first steps into his new home crossed his mind.

"looks like we're here." he muttered, eyes locked on ensworth.

"Yeah, to be around other people with powers?" Bianca looked around the bus at all the other students. Was it just her, or was there a guy there that wasn't when they'd left? He seemed a bit exhausted, like he'd been running. And it wasn't like Bianca to miss that people were there, she was generally very observant. She turned back to Miu, "I actually didn't know there were so many of us. But now I don't have to be the only odd one out at Ensworth." Just then the bus bumped a little as the began to cross a large bridge. Bianca glanced out the window, trying to see what was ahead. It was pretty hard to miss the giant academy. "Well, speak of the devil..."

aleister cracked over their eyes at the sound of shuffling and was surprised to see the boy on all fours on the ground, searching for something. they pondered over what it could be for a couple of seconds, before recognizing that there was a pair of glasses laying next to their shoes. aleister opened their mouth to tell the other guy, only for the boy to give up and sit down besides them before they could. well, now they couldn't lay back down. "it's not my fault i have long legs." aleister hummed. reaching down, they plucked the pair of glasses up from the dirtied floor of the rolling bush, before dusting them off and dropping them onto the boy's lap. from what aleister could see, they didn't appear to be cracked. good deed done for they day, they turned their head away once more, towards the window.

His back straightened upon feeling a pair of eyes at the back of his head. He turned himself around and leaned over his seat to face the pair. "You're right, there's a lot of us here, huh? And I bet we all have different powers and abilities. It's a pretty diverse crowd." And then he realized how rude he was being; interjecting in like that without even introducing himself. "Ah, sorry. Got a bit carried away. My name is Halcyon Gazania, nice to meet you both." From the corners of his eyes, he saw the academy growing bigger as they came closer. It's a grandiose building; like a castle. Or so he'd like to think. "Exciting huh? We gotta stick together or we'll end up lost."

xxxxx bryn squints his eyes, trying to make out the item on his lap, picking it up delicately, appearing to be a little stunned by the act of kindness. taking the glasses from on him, he brushes them off delicately, putting the lenses back onto his face. he takes a quick moment to scan the student next to him, as he didn't get a good look without his glasses before. the male lets out a soft sigh, turning his head to look away and running a hand through his hair. " just don't do it again. " he mutters, crossing his arms and getting adjusted to leave the bus, seeing them pull into the academy.

xxxxx"Mhm, that's the main thing I'm excited for." The combination of angsty teens + uncontrolled powers was essentially a breeding ground for all things drama. "Being the o-" Miu stopped talking when suddenly a boy with black hair turned and started speaking to the pair. Slightly annoyed at being interrupted, she raised an eyebrow. "Ah. Miu..." she replied, her introduction nothing short of lackluster. Halcyon. The name was uncommon. Someone so willing to butt into people's conversations was uncommon as well. A perfect match. At the least, the boy was interesting, so she didn't really complain.

xxxxxUsing her power ever so slightly, Miu willed her mild annoyance away, now back to how she was previously. And sure, maybe some would consider that faking or whatever. They'd probably do it too if they had the power. Now feeling just like how she had before, Miu looked to Halcyon. "Yeah, maybe. But getting lost can be fun, as well," she replied. "Depends of how 'ya look at it."

xxxxx"Well, it's a little painful. But it goes away, so it's not too bad." Kohei honestly barely remembered how it felt waking up after using his power like that. He'd only done it once, and that one time was at least two years back. Not letting himself dwell on past affairs, he instead focused on the amazed expression the girl had after seeing his power. Kohei would be lying if he said it didn't inflate his ego a bit, even if he still personally found his power fairly boring. It was a power he couldn't really use, and it's effectiveness all depended on the other person's power, not his.

xxxxx"It isn't that great, but... thanks," he said, accepting compliments being a foreign thing for him. "Maybe. That would require me being willing to work that hard, though." As it stood, Kohei didn't really have much motivation to train his power. It wasn't like the need was too urgent at the moment. Maybe something would change that. Doubt it. When the girl mentioned her name, the boy was kind of surprised. Had he been talking to someone this much without even knowing their name? And yes, this amount of talking was considered a lot to Kohei. "Probably not gonna call you Lu, but Lucy, huh? Nice. I'm Kohei."

xxxxxWhen the teen chanced a look out the cloudy bus window, he noticed a bridge coming up close. Across said bridge was a huge building. It was insanely impressive, and Kohei couldn't stifle a soft "Woah..." Then he turned to look at Lucy. "We're almost there, finally."

"Ha, believe me, it has for both." She was glad at least someone knew, this year she wouldn't have to try as hard to fit in but it's not helpful when a rain cloud appears above your head every time you're sad. Rowan twisted her head to get see what Orion was looking at and almost had to slightly look up because of its size. "I guess we are," She picked up the things she had and leaned her elbow against the seat, readying herself to stand. Maybe it would be different this year, but did she really want to be top dog and popular? Maybe not.

"Yeah," Bianca said, pursing her lips in slight annoyance as the boy she had notice interrupted Miu rather rudely. Although it was probably her fault for looking so intently at him. Generally people noticed when they were being stared at. "I'd love to get lost at least one time in my lifetime." It wasn't her fault she could remember everything.

"Bianca." She nodded to Halcyon in introduction, probably less curt than she'd have liked. Bianca would have continued her talk with Miu if she was annoyed by Halcyon as well, but the blonde-haired girl didn't seem to mind, so Bianca tried to get over it, with an attempt to initiate friendly conversation in the short time the bus had left to drive. "So... what's your power?"
