I smiled at him, trying not to show show the tears of joy in my eyes. "You realize you have to call me Phina for the rest of your life, right?"

With a soft smile he returns her hug, letting go as she did before giving a shrug to her question, he himself had no idea either. "I'm not really sure why either... but now it seems that I've turned human." He explains, glancing down at himself with a small frown. He really had no clue as to what was going on and why he'd suddenly turned human, but maybe it had something to do with the 'expiration date' for them? If so he hoped that now she was aware of him once again that he wouldn't disappear...

Letting out a soft giggle, she shakes her head, making sure to hug her journal protectively to her chest as she usually did. "If I cry, it'd probably be happy tears." She says reassuringly, giving him a small nod as she continued to look at his face. He had changed so much, but she still recognized him immediately when they bumped into each other. "Maybe your height has to do with when I really wanted to hit a growth spurt since everyone was taller than me. Oh, but I got over it in a year." She says with a somewhat thoughtful expression. At hadn't dawned on her until now though, how was he standing here before her when he used to just be a figment of her own imagination. A small frown appears on her lips, though she quickly hides it as she returns her attention to Luke, maybe he'd know why? "Ah we shouldn't be standing and talking like this in the middle of the street. Let's walk to the park and find a place to sit since it's nearby." She suggests, glancing to either side as grouchy citizens walked past, some even shooting them glares for standing in the middle of the sidewalk. Holding back another amused giggle, she smiles and grabs Luke's hand, keeping her other arm secure around her journal as she weaved towards the oncoming crowd as they headed towards the park. Humming softly along the way, she practically lets her body take over since she'd been to the park what seemed millions of times already, taking a right on the next street before walking straight along the sidewalk. Then taking a left right through the elaborate gate and they were in the park, the sounds of a few birds chattering mixing with the noises of the urban city

"Why's that?" Sage asked.

"Because I missed hearing that name." My voice was weak and hoarse with emotion. "I never want to go another day without hearing it."

Sage smiled softly, "I can do that for you Phina, no problem."

I took his hand gently. "Thank you so much. I'm so happy that you accepted me. Most people, once they get past the age of twelve or so, they never want their friend back. They would rather think of ways to become more popular, or, I don't know..." I shrugged. "Some of my friends have tried to tell their friend, but they just get forgotten." I stared off, drifting off.

"Wait. you can talk to other people like you?" Sage asked.

"Just people like me. People who became human to come see you. They, well, their last chance... didn't work out." My brow wrinkled sadly. "Their friends didn't believe that they were their friends."
