"Um, hi..." I lifted my hand and waved slightly. "Do you know how you got here? Was anyone else with you?" I stayed yards out of arms reach and backed up warily as he approached. Many humans had been mad or crazed with hunger and thirst. Some had tried to attack, but had been too weak and had drowned. Only one had left his mark, a small scar on her wrist. She'd learned to be safe

Corrie hit the water with her tail. She always loved poking her head above the surface and looking at the nearby island with those things with.... legs. She dove under the water and blew bubbles. Her eyes gleamed with amusement.

"there was a storm. it knocked us off course and....that's about all i remember." Sam replied, rubbing a bruise on his forehead that must have been hit with a rock. "i don't know if any of my crew members washed up here too." he said. he noticed she was a bit wary of him and made him remember that she was a stranger too. he didn't know anything about this place or what the people here were like. it would be best if he was wary too.

personality: Though he was spoiled as a kid he's generous and sincere in his emotions. He's a bit of a jokster but don't let that fool you because he has a gooey inside.Though these quality's together make him naive and a bit childish.
for or against seafolk?: "You mean like sailors? There smell like fish so there not my favorite company but there ok I guess, why?"

history (optional): He's been living with his uncle to get away from his pretentious, over-bearing father. He was a spoiled little boy but he's grown and so has his personality.

I sighed. "that's what everyone says. What position were you on the ship?" Human levels of leadership were equally confusing and fascinating to me. "And what type of ship was it?" I didn't understand how they could stand to be cooped up for so long on such boring crafts.

Corrie swam along the beach. She found a leg-thing and a siren speaking. She lowered down in the water.

"well, nothing special, just a crew member." he replied. she was asking some strange questions. "and it was really just a fishing and trade ship. but i don't understand why you're asking me all this. where am i?" he askd again. "were there other people washed up here?"

She quickly swam up and emerged from the water, spraying it everywhere. She giggled.

"Oh, sorry. Well, you're on an island...it doesn't really have a name I suppose. Most of us just call it 'the island'. Lots of stuff washes up, but if someone from your crew was going to wash up, they probably would've by now. Oh, and uh...my name's Skye..." I rubbed my scar nervously. It was always a risk telling people your name, but I found it helped gain their trust and they opened up a bit more. I jumped as a mermaid burst through the surface of the water next to me. "Hey! What are you-" I paused to spit out some salt water. " what was that?"

"It was me!" the 12-year-old laughed. "Anyhoo... who that?" She splashed his legs with water.
