Alexander | Tagged; Vengal
Alexander smiles warmly at Vengal and leans forward on the counter as he listens. He giggles softly, looking up at him with big curious eyes. The man’s voice was soothing, pleasant to hear, for him. At mention of how he was doing, however, he looks around at the kitchen and heaves a heavy sigh.
“Well, I’m... trying?” He grins nervously and shrugs, keeping his eyes on a pot of water that was almost boiling. “Honestly, I wasn’t sure where to start. I don’t know if there are any allergies to be aware of, or any special dietary needs, y’know? Don’t want to make anyone sick on my first day!” The man stands up and goes over to the stove, now that the water was ready, and measures out a serving of spaghetti before dumping it in the pot. He dusts off his hands and returns to his, hopefully, new friend with a bit of a worried look.
“So, uh...” Alex turns his attention back to him, his face immediately softens and he even manages a smile, “You... You really came down to see me? That’s... Thank you,”

Viktor | Tagged; Aerik
Viktor raises an eyebrow when the man pulls away, a little taken aback that he had the courage to do so. “Stop...?” He repeats quietly, picking up the violin and plucking at a string with a claw. The sound was bright and somehow seemed like a harmony, even if it was impossible for it to be so.
I am being rude? Hmm...” He looks at the creature before him with narrowed eyes, “As far as I know I was just acting how I naturally am, thank you.” Viktor scoffs and spins around, turning on his boot’s heel. “I’m going to fix it! Stop your whining, and don’t even think about crying! It’s ugly and unbecoming. Especially ugly.” He returns to examining the violin, pulling at strings with a bit more force than they probably should be handled with. “Do you have materials for me to use?”

own hands to interview this weird
screaming man and get some info
on his husband and their doctor.

Oh, whoops. Artaxerxes lets up and rises slowly, cloak sliding back down from where it had gathered on his shoulders. With it, along with his jewelry, there is an uncannily musical twinkling. The young man almost hits his head on the ceiling, though as a gesture of ill-timed goodwill, he has a small, half-smile to offer(more of a barred-tooth look, though he can't see that). He gestures his hands out in front of him as the glow fades. "...Well...I'm not a guest, you see. My specialties are in mortality counteraction and anomalous services. Anomalous services as in...I may be able to assist with your doctor's...minor malady." Running his hands back through his hair, the man walks over towards the chair he'd been sitting at.

Sídhe. He gently picks up the handle of a large, carved mahogany case. Many of the pictures and flourishes in the carving match the style of his arms, and if you look too far into any given pattern, you will find your eyes lost within them. The case itself is too big to hold a lap harp, and judging from the thunk of the case, it's too heavy to be one as well. He starts in a low voice. Artaxerxes isn't about to try and make light of the situation. "I'm no expert in his sort(whatever that may be), but...If it helps any, he asked me to come up here to help with...something. Asked me a few questions, led me up here, and started looking for some serum...BT, something something, twenty-four. He then went into a panic when I asked him about his assistants, the glass shattered, and...here we stand."

In another fluid motion, the case disappears behind his cloak, and there is the quiet sound of powerfully beating wings just behind him. In a moment, they look to be his, lustrous and black in the dim light. A great black bird, larger than a young boy, rests on his shoulders. It moves it's head to stare down at LeMarc with an unsubtly threatening look, feathery crest flaring. It then produces a handkerchief from it's folded wing for the stranger to mop up the golden blood(?) from his face. "...Forgive my forthrightness, but I need to speak to your husband, so I ought to make myself useful in shutting all of this down. At least for now, Stoker business is as much mine as it is theirs."

Prince of the Damned|LeMarc|Head Butler|Half-Demon|Tagged: Arty

LeMarc flinches as the large bird is suddenly glaring at him. "Not a...Ugh." he makes a noise of utter annoyance at the realization that this man is more of a 'wandering kind of employee' type, which means he might have to work with him should he be hired. Which he shouldn't be, in the butler's opinion. He already has to deal with a dirty angel, why should he add this...whatever to his roster. "Guest, employee, hermit- I don't really care. And neither does Dr. Stoker."

The half-demon grimaces as he notices what this tussle has done to his suit. Tattered, dirtied, and tarnished. Ugh. "He's non-discriminatory when it comes to his victims. Friends, foes, family..."

Suddenly, LeMarc's gaze flashes towards the attic stares. Franz is gone. "..." For the third time in less than an hour, LeMarc utters an oath and sprints away.

Resident Scholar|Franz Joseph|Attic Hermit|Vampire|Tagged: Lark

The door starts to crack under Franz's insistent ramming, and as he continues it splinters and breaks. He keeps going, clawing and scratching, he can almost taste the smell, the sound of prey. It's invigorating, like feeling alive again. Like living for once. He doesn't wonder about who he is chasing, or why. He doesn't wonder about anything, too busy focusing on prey, prey, prey.

Lady of the Lake|Eadgyd|Edith|Homeless|Kelpie|Tagged: 'some stupid northerner', 'stolen prey'

Eadgyd narrows her eyes as she watches the two interlopers. Was the mortal about to cry? Ew. The kelpie had always found the act of creating tears to be a particularly gross one, one which she was absolutely certain only mortals ever did, mostly when they were drowning, or being killed, or longingly staring into the water whilst they whispered secrets to her of lost loved ones and runaway children. She often wondered if mortal tears taste any good, but she's never been desperate enough to try. Do they taste sweet? Bitter? Do tears tinged with sadness taste different than those of laughter or loss? Do they age like a fine wine?

Well, now she was thinking of making both these beings tear up just so that she could find out. This really wasn't the goal here to begin with, but no one ever claimed her priorities had to be sound.

With a hum of annoyance, Eadgyd swings herself down to a lower branch of the willow tree, causing its leaves to sway and swish. She wraps one of her many scarves around her face, further camouflaging her as her eyes peer out at the water. She thinks that, perhaps, the two are speaking of the...What was that thing? A lute? Probably a lute. She thinks they're speaking about the lute that the northman is holding. Maybe if she stole that, they'd both cry...Or leave. Or die. Many options, all favourable in her opinion. She in no way considers that perhaps they might try to fight her, or yell or complain...Perhaps Eadgyd is too self-centered to even understand such personable emotions.

He laughed a little at her little statement about the mouse and the trap, "It all depends if the mouse knows what it is getting into, then I can see how the mouse can set off the trap without getting killed." He looked around as he followed Wendy to a bathroom, still hoping that they wouldn't get caught- or well Wendy as he was already a guest of the manor, but this could go bad for him as he seeks shelter in his room during the day whilst at night he's up in the library. Speaking of the library, he peered into the room once it came into view. Cyrus was almost tempted to go in and just take a seat, leaving Wendy and Spike to explore the manor without getting killed, of course. But he continued after Wendy, pausing before retreating towards the side of the door once Wendy headed into the bathroom. What? It was respectful. In a way. On the bright side, he can serve as a lookout in case any staff member happens to waltz on by. All he had to do was possibly shut the door and explain that there was a wolf spider in there. What kind of idiot would make up an excuse like that anyway? Him, apparently.

Cyrus raised his head just a little as she continued to speak, this time about Spike. "That can serve as a true fact, that can indeed." hummed, in his semi-cryptic way as usual. He soon rocked back and forth on his heels, waiting for Wendy to finish up. As he was waiting, he ceased rocking, soon to lean back on the wall, shrugging. "How about at pen point? Has anyone threatened you with a pen?" Now he was just spewing nonsense but in a humorous and a light-hearted way. "I was joking about that, please do not take me seriously about that."

Her tail wagged once Valac started to pet her. Even though she hated it, she somehow found it quite calming. She looked at him and smiled a little, but it dropped, "You better- I won't be able to have someone help me pillage the town." She laughed a little to herself before poking his neck with her snout, finally finding a resting spot for her head. She rested her head on his neck and closed her eyes. Everest didn't reply to the thank you that the angel gave her, instead she waited until Valac was sound asleep, hoping that he would heal later towards the evening, or by morning at the latest.

He continued to walk aimlessly down the hallway, still trying to gather up a mental list of what to do. Sure, his mind was off towards Mary, who was alone with one of the manor workers, which honestly he shouldn't be too afraid or worried since Nico was around the same age as Mary...Right? Facilier sighed heavily, well, they'll have to find out eventually, right? He hoesntly didn't know what to do if others found about Mary.

As he was getting lost in thought some more, he turned his head just a bit to catch someone walking up to him. He came to a stop and turned to this person who introduced herself as Leslie, in which he didn't quite remember the name, or her face; something rude to say, even if you didn't speak it verbally. He should try to act nicer if he was going to be working with others, but he couldn't help it if he had the temper like a honey badger...not that he has ever seen one. Faciler mentally shook his head before sighing, not wanting to keep this girl waiting for an answer, "Leslie? I'll make sure that I'll try to remember your name the next time we meet. Just like any other name in this forbidding place." Welp, that didn't work out well, let's try again, shall we? By this time if he were to met someone and if his sister was around to catch him acting rude, then there was a possible chance that he would have a red hand mark on the back of his neck while his sister has a normal and nice conversation with the person.

He smiled and then soon pulled the comforter from its corners before looking at Nico, “Help me pull this over the chairs.” Mary then made his way across the blankets, towards the lone chair, holding the corner of the comforter tightly so he didn’t drop it, otherwise the corner would try to retreat back to the bed.

Leanne hurriedly walked ever-so-gracefully down the road as she looked down at her mount everest of a list. From butter to ricotta cheese, which she had never heard of, it was a crazy weird list filled with an assortment of interesting requests. She forgot to look up and rammed into a man, who was much taller then her and slightly intimidated her.
      "uh... uh... hello?" squeaked leanne.

the ferret opened its mouth into a devilish grin. ”how much would you like to bet dearie? I like a challenge. You shouldn’t run your mouth either without knowing someone. It could get you in severe trouble.” she had slipped the little screwdriver into Jo’s shirt pocket and stood up on his shoulder. Hopping off and heading to the ground, she had changed into her normal wolf form. Her eye colors always remained constant, baby blue, and on her left wrist, she always had a scar. Looking over Jo’s shoulder, she glared intently at Stell. ”wanna play?” she challenged with a slightly wagging tail.

She was taken back from Leslie’s words. Someone was standing up for her? It made her calm down and roll her eyes at the childish way Stella acted. Jo was nice too! Even Vengal was just mistunderstood about life and needed some kind words. Watching Leslie run off, she gently nudged Jo on his shoulder. ”Shall we continue? Doesn’t look like much is going on here anyways?” she didn’t bother to regard Stella anymore because it was a waste of time.

Aerik "Bushman" Gunnarsson
25 yrs / Hybrid / Male / Tags: Viktor
────────────────────
Bush sat there silently with a frown, watching this man deal with his violin. He honestly was beginning to think of taking the instrument and leaving the area but then again.. this guy was the only guy who probably knew what he was doing.
Aerik sat there watching him for a very long time, not even wanting to cry. He felt like doing it but he wouldn't. He wasn't going to sob in front of this man.
"I have a few extra strings in the case." he answered, turning and trudging back to the case in order to pick it out of the mud and grab the strings from inside, only to take it back to the man who wanted it
He looked behind the creature of the lake, thinking he heard something else nearby, but was too busy worrying about his instrument and whether or not the man would be able to fix it.

Vengal Krishnan
19 yrs / Avian / Male / Tags: Alex
──────────────────
Vengal nodded slightly and didn't even realize how big of a job a chef had, especially with all the nit picky things people needed like allergies and dietary needs. He hummed to himself and shrugged, knowing he would never have to worry about things like that. He didn't work in the Manor, he was a long time guest. While sitting on the counter his legs began to sway back and forth while smiling at Alex and tilted his head
"Yeah I did.. I mean I don't think I connect as well with anyone else in the Manor. There aren't a lot of people my age to talk with. Plus you seem like a really nice guy!"
He chuckled softly and bit his lip, stopping himself from rambling on much longer
"But um.. I'm also hungry so like.. I need a snack."
He slid himself off the counter and walked over to the fridge to peek inside for anything to eat before moving to the cupboards and pulling out a box of sugary cereal to hopefully snack on before dinner
"Anyways.. do you get any time off in here? Like.. I was thinking I'd snatch you up sometime and take you to go do something..." he said aloud while pouring himself a bowl of cereal on a nearby counter

Marc-Anthony Amserlen
30 yrs / Automaton / Male / Tags: Deirdre ♥
──────────────────
Marc-Anthony breathed in and grinned when she said yes. It was like everything he had ever wanted, and he slipped the beautiful ring on her finger. It fit perfectly and after that he pocketed the empty box and stood up to embrace the woman. He was laughing and smiling so much, he couldn't believe this was happening. He hugged her close and kissed at her cheeks, loving her like he always has
"Oh Deirdre.. I love you.. I love you so much!" he grinned while picking her up and swinging her around with glee. It had been so long being with her, he was happy to make it official that they were now husband and wife.
x

Arc Heilburg-Ludwig
18 yrs / Human / Male / Tags: Stella
──────────────────
Arc was walking home from dealing with the bog witch, he was still muddy and extremely unhappy with himself. He just needed a bath, the last thing he wanted was to talk to anybody. There were people who asked him what had happened on the way home, but he didn't want to talk to them. He didn't want to give any answer that would make them laugh. That was the last thing he wanted.
While fumbling around in his pockets to see if his phone had died in the water, which it had, he almost ran into a lady who was walking the opposite way. He looked up and around to see who it was, spotting her from a mile off wouldn't've been hard anyways. She stood out and his eyes widened
"Vait.. Vait a minute!" he called, hopping after her
"Stella!"
He knew this woman's face and there wasn't going to be a single moment where he'd let her go again.
x

Hershel Grey Holm
27 yrs / Human / Male / Tags: Leanne
────────────────
Hershel hadn't bothered to look where he was going, he glanced back the way he came only to slam right into a woman who was on her way down the street. He was quite startled and staggered back slightly, whipping his head back front to see who he had run into. Finding out it was a woman he quickly took his top hat off and lowered his head a little.
"Oh gracious me.. I'm terribly sorry for that.." the Brit answered, shaking his head and looking over to her with a concerned look
"Are you alright? Nothing's damaged, I hope.. I'm so very sorry for running into you like that. I really should start looking towhere I am going."
He chuckled lightly, trying to offer a smile to the woman upon meeting her for the first time.

When she was done with patching herself up wendy shut the light off in the bathroom, waited for spike to trot out before shutting the door so the blood stained tiles wouldn’t be very noticable, and walked back into the hallway where she found cyrus casually leaning against the wall. Was it her or did he seem somewhat comfortable in the manor, as if he felt at home? She dwelled on this thought for a moment, however his statement about being held at pen point side tracked her train of thought as she chuckled at the joke. That was a new one. surprisingly enough, i’ve never been held at pen point. Although there is much you could do with a pen to injure someone. It depends on the scenario, but being held at pen point could be just as terrifying as being held at gun or sword point. she commented, now thinking about what she would do if she were held at pen point. Hypotheticals were one of wendy’s favorite things to ponder about. It always intrigued her to have a hypothetical thrown at her because she would build it up. Where was she? Who was she with? Did she have anything on her? What is the circumstances? However wendy didn’t express the inquires since they knew that it was simply a joke and not a question of how she would act in the scenario. what do you think would be worse, being held at pen point or pencil point? making her way down the hallway wendy delved deeper into the manor. She wouldn’t leave until she found proof of inhumans living here, or she was forcefully kicked off of the property. Stubbornness might just be the death of this woman. Spike trotted along with his nose to the floor sniffing around, and while he knew full well that nobody at the manor was human due to the lingering scents, he made no move to alert wendy of his knowledge. Maybe spike wasn’t the most loyal pitbull that wendy thought him to be. However as wendy peeked into doors and looked through the halls she began to wonder where everyone was? This was such a big place surely with dozens of bedrooms for staff and homeowners, so where were all the people? it seems so barren, where do you suppose everyone is? She wasn’t complaining though. If the staff or owners found a stranger wandering the manor there would be concerns. However at the same time she was here to prove inhumans are within the vicinity of the town and she needed proof of someone with powers or mutations. So she was also kind of hoping to come across someone.

While walking through the town without a thought of where to go, stella pulled out her phone to try and search up what there was to do in airedale. She’d been to the town only a handful of times, mostly to get herself a chocolate bar before heading back to the manor. She spent most of her time in her bedroom or out wandering the woods, however today she was wanting to do something more than sitting around on her butt watching shows on her phone. Aas she was looking up what to do stella sense someone getting a little too close on the walkway and she quickly side stepped them to avoid getting run into. As she passed by this person stella didn’t give much thought to him, but moments later a familiar voice was calling out her name. Stopping in her tracks stella looked up from her phone and looked over her shoulder to who was shouting her name. She knew this face and the name came quickly to her. Arc! hey stranger, she said with a small smile as she pulled her earbuds out of her ears. Returning her phone to her pocket stella made her way back over to arc. long time no see, huh. it was nice to see a familiar face. She had yet to make friends with anyone in the manor or town, though she can’t imagine why that was the case, so to see someone she knew and enjoyed being around was nice.

the garden was my favorite part of the house. Once we get the house fixed up maybe we can work on prettying up the garden. Looking over at katheryne he watched her expression as she took in the sight of the garden. The place was nothing special to look at, but as he watched katie he thought she looked more relaxed than she was moments ago. Being out in the garden evan also felt more relaxed than when he was inside the house. He had been reliving past memories that he would rather forget at times. Already he was forgetting things and as hard as he tries he cannot recall certain events in his life, which was frightening so evan would find that at times he’d chastise himself for wanting to forget. Upon being called flower child by katie, evan smiled ever so slightly. The smile was barely noticeable but there. Would that be the nickname that stuck? Evan couldn’t complain, he embraced his love for flowers. no, i’ve never made a flower chain before. I don’t even know what that would be. Flowers weaved together? evan looked over at katie with a curious gaze. When he and his sister picked flowers they never made flower chains with them, but instead would grab vases and fill them with water and flowers to place around the house. Or sometimes they would head to the lake and place the flowers on the water and watch them graceful float along the top.

yrus L. 𝔇esdemona- "You don't know what a man's loss is."
43-Male | Grim Reaper | Manor Guest | Homo-None | tags; Wendy
───────────────────────────────────────────
xxxxxxxx
Once Wendy had retreated out of the bathroom, he pushed himself off of the wall and laughed a little, "Any object can be used as a weapon. Such as a book. But don't want to stray off from our pen point talk, we can talk about books later. But I can see why a pen can be." He shook his head before looking around the manor as he followed Wendy, now thinking of ways to hold someone hostage with different objects. Now, you don't have to use objects, it could also be creatures. But that is a different story that he wouldn't mind telling later on. I'll give you a hint: it has to do with him and his brother. This, of course, cannot be good.

Cyrus blinked once he was asked what would be worse, being held at pen point, or pencil point. He placed a finger on his chin and actually thought about this. "Let's see- it would depend on the type of pen that is being used. A calligraphy pen can be dangerous, along with any old ball point pen. It would just take a while to break the skin- as for the pencil I'll give it a five out of ten. Unless your eye was at stake, then, of course, that'd be terrifying." As he thought about this, his mind wondered over towards his son, but his attention was brought back to Wendy, not wanting to get lost in another tangent, "So, I'll have to go with the pen on this one." He dropped his hand to his side, soon to cross his arms behind him, looking around in the calm and empty halls. Wendy did bring up a really good point: where was everyone? He knew that Stellalune had to be in the walls, sleeping like bat should do at this time of day, but as for the others, he couldn't really seem to guess on where the others are. "I have no clue. I would honestly think that a place like this would be buzzing with people by now." Just don't tell him that they decided to become nocturnal. That would be odd.

Stellaluna was in the walls, snuggled up in her collection of bobby pins and the cloths for glasses. She was warm and wouldn't want to move at all. Too bad she didn't have any tiny friends to share this kingdom with.

sure, the man hadn't seemed interested in conversation just by his look, but his introduction just... it made leslie feel bad, somehow. like she meant nothing to anyone and was just like stella. well, she could also be someone sweet, but the butler's greeting was not hinting to such. it was hard to tell what it was even supposed to mean, but it certainly made her feel like a sassy primadonna from high school that just got logically defeated by a nerdy kid and her cool sister. key words to define it were something along the lines of useless, boring, stupid, and like a lunatic. this kind of feeling wasn't unfarmiliar to leslie by any means, and she was usually not given much but a mocking face and a scared look. most didn't even give her as much as a wave, much less speak of anything but now weird and creepy and harmful to civilians and creatures alike. she was told that killing herself would make everyone happier. she'd been told that she should be rich later because she'd need the plastic surgery. she was told her eyes were too weird, her hair was too wild, she was too disgraceful to the human race, none of them aware that she came from a horrible home where she had to stay alert, no one took care of her, and she wasn't completely human in the first place. this wasn't bad compared to her youth, and it helped that it was clear the man didn't recognize her. still, leslie didn't feel good for that.

either way, what would she do? say, 'oh, you're quite disrespectful, aren'cha? well, how about you shut up and just...' leslie didn't know the rest. it didn't matter, though, because there was no way she was going to say that anyway. it should've been expected, really. leslie was creepy and she knew it. she must seem like a dangerous stalker to all who approached her, or she approached. at least he was nice about it... somewhat. "....okay. i suppose my name isn't anything special or pleasant, so i'll leave it at that," leslie frowned, looking out a glass manor window as she spoke. "and no one usually even speaks to me normally. this is a change of pace, i must admit. also, i don't really know your name, but that just be a conversation for another time, should you decide you might have time to spare." leslie sighed, walking forward in the opposite of the man's direction, though she was aiming for the stairs. the ruffles on her top seemed pretty now, her ruby brooch the only colorful item on her, but also the thing that tied it all together in a pretty bow. the faded rich brown tie also looked nice, the skirt she had in a similar color on the outer coat. tightening her ponytail, she looked over her shoulder slightly, smiling, and said, "i hope my name really does stick, just like everyone else's in this hellhole."

then, she ran down the stairs once more, her shoes making loud clicking noises on the way down, louder than normal. that was the effect stairs usually had, leslie pressing her heel down hard of each step unintentionally. eventually, she reached the foyer, dashing past it's grand railings and carpet and out the large wooden door before inhaling the sweet aroma of spring blossoms that overcame her senses. 'it's been too long since i've seen the sky from anywhere outside of a window,' leslie thought, a warm, sweet-scented breeze blowing her some of her hair onto her cheek. the sun beamed down gently as the dead petals from the trees flew like they were in a tornado due to the wind. leslie smiled as the wind ceased slowly and she reached town. she closed her eyes and walked, the spring air embracing her with each step. it was only a matter of minutes before she ran into something. it was human, and leslie could tell that much. opening her eyes bashfully, hoping she wasn't too bad to have run into someone.
"sorry... i didn't mean to do that, i swear! i just wasn't watching where i was going..." leslie admitted, her eyes glued to the floor while she spoke.
