"How are we supposed to help if we're tied to this blasted tree? Tell you that you need to go twelve feet north, and two hours towards the left? That sure will work wonderfully." Kane said sarcastically as he tried to force his hands through the vines. He kept on glancing towards Sapphire to see if she was going okay, and back towards the man. "What does she got to do with it? This isn't going to make them trust us any sooner." Trouble found him alright and he would rather outsmart a jaguar than being tied to a tree.

the man laughed as he started making sparks with two rocks onto the wood in the fire pit. "i had to. you might try to attack me. you said yourself you wanted to. as for her, she's part of the plan. unfortunate she has to be tied and gagged like that but i can't have her run away or try her songs." a spark finally caught flame and he spread the kindling to the larger pieces of wood. "she's a princess you know. it's her mom's fault this island is cursed. i've been stranded here for fifteen years learning about these little fishes and it's all finally going to pay off."
Sapphire looked down when he mentioned her being a princess. she didn't like to be reminded about it. this human had a look in his eye that made her sure he had gone crazy.

Ailowny had woken up after the two. Angry wrinkles filled the space between her eyes, and nose, and cheeks. She thrashed against the feeling of being bound, but found her tail lacking in strength. Looking down, she discovered her tail was in fact not there. An audible, feral growl resounded deep in her throat, and the girl's angry pitch black eyes were thrown at the two with her. Sure, kt was unlikely they had anything to do with it. But no way was she ruling anybody out, now. Hisses and growls echoed in the small chamber, her body thrashing at the ground as her jaws ached against the right rope across her lips, desperate for freedom.

I uncrossed my legs. "I think you might be right. My feet feel like they're falling asleep." I frowned as the tingling spread up my legs and soon began to burn. I stumbled into the water as my legs began turning back into my tail. The pain subsided and I grinned looking down at my tail. "Want to see if humans can have tails too?" I asked Sam.

Kane just kept quiet as the man continued to talk. "I don't care if she's a regular fish, or if her mother was the cause of the island being cursed, do you think she would listen to you? We're the reason why this island is cursed, and this will not make her change her mind!" He yelled until he heard growling, and looked to the side and saw someone else was with them. It looked like that she wouldn't believe him if he told her that he will try to get them out. The ropes dug into his wrists and caused him to hiss in pain.

Sam stood up once she started changing, ready to help her in any way. it looked like it was painful, which he guessed made sense. he smiled back at her when she was in the water with her tail. he knelt by the water nodded at her question. "i'm ready if you're ready." he replied.

"you're just not getting it are you?" the man said to Kane. "she's not her for negotiation, she's here as a hostage. he gestured to Sapphire. "i don't care that her mother doesn't trust us or if a couple of humans started it. i was just an innocent trader, and i got wrecked here! i left a wife and daughter back there and i'm going to get back to them no matter what i have to do in the process!" he heard the growling and looked over at the silkie. "oh good. i was wondering when you would wake up." he picked up her sealskin for her to see. "recognize this? if you want it, you going to have to send a little message for me."

I nodded. "Do you have a knife I can use?" I was nervous about drawing blood, it was whether or not it worked that worried me.

Crystal woke up the light just starting to come up "hmm... I'll surprise raven" she thought and grabbed a few sticks making a fire a little bit away, she grabbed 2 fish from her basket and put them on a spit over the fire to roast while she wove plates out of leaves

Ailowny lost all hope of fighting when she saw he had her skin. The soft white fur was her home and she needed it back, no matter what. After the initial shock, a grimaced filled her young face at the thougt of doing this lowly creatures bissing. Her thrashing stopped and she stared impatiently at her skin. Just what was it she needed to do that was so important?

"no... but i think..." Sam replied and reached down to pick up a creasent shaped shell. he washed it off in the water and sharpened it. "this might work." he said as he handed it to her.

the man smiled. "that's better. now lets take a walk." he said and picked her up over his shoulder. she hadn't been tied to the tree but her limbs would have to be freed later. "sit tight you two!" he called as he picked up a torch and walked toward the beach.

Sapphire gave a whimper and leaned her head defeatedly on Kane's shoulder. not only was she stuck far inland as a hostage, but the silkie had her skin stolen and had gotten involved in something dangerous. Kane had also gotten tied to the tree and was in more danger than her. she didn't want anyone to be hurt but there was nothing she could do.
