A gray tabby kitten sat on a girl's shoulder, claws sinking into the flesh and beneath the shirt to hang on as a young girl whom was a year from adulthood, strode through the streets of (whatever city), looking at the shop windows she passed by. Light from the sun looming high overhead caught the girl's reflection in the mirror, revealing a young girl...no perhaps a young woman was the more proper term...of Indian origin with light brown skin and long black hair falling past her shoulds and down her back to stop at the middle of her back. On her shoulder sat her pet, a kitten named Raja who mewed at his reflection, causing a smile from the girl that only she could see...or anyone who might behind and staring at her reflection. A dark blue dress stood on a maniqan, the young woman spreading her arms out to examine the dress as she stood in front of it and twirled around, coming to a stop once she had completed a full circut to face the dress again.
Reaching a hand up to stroke Raja's head, she elicited a purr to come from her pet, a pet she had found behind a dumpster as a younger kitten than he was now, likely abandoned as he had been in a wet box. Since she had found Raja, she had made him into her pet and her only companion, the young woman found it hard to trust others and learned to be wary of the adults on the streets. Bad things happened in the night...she had seen quite a bit since losing her family...and it was for her own survival that she remained alone. Dressed in an aqua blue skirt with a green tunic and black boots, the woman turned from the store window and continued on her way, disappearing into the crowd of people.
