In his hurry, Joel might have forgotten to look down. So that's how he ended up sprawled on the ground, face-first- by forgetting to look down, and tripping over a fox. Not a high point for the professor. Cursing and mumbling, the man sat up and rubbed his head. The heat didn't agree with him at all, despite that he rarely wore dark clothing, so he already had a small headache. "Mutt!" He spat at the small fox. Most would instantly forgive the cute, fuzzy creature, but Joel was not 'most'.

There was literally no reason to go outside. But he did anyways, because who wanted to be holed up inside there house all day? Well- maybe Joel, but that guy was something else. Tourette was set for this lifetime, and probably many more, so there was no point in a job. He'd met a few people in town, but none really interested him except Joel- who again, was something else. Shrugging on his coat, the vampire stepped outside and began walking. In no direction in particular, just walking.

He stopped in his tracks, and turned his head towards where Fuzz was supposed to be. The little fox was knocked over, and another guy sat on the ground, rubbing his head. He lifted one side of his headset, only to hear the man curse at Fuzz. "Oi... What the hell are you spouting?" he glared at the man, who clearly didn't feel bad for the little creature. His ice blue eyes flared with challenge and annoyance."Instead of getting pissed at a fox, you should rather watch where your going." he growled, clearly not in the mood for this crap. He turned and started walking again, not waiting for the man to protest, Fuzz at his heels.

He stood, his thin frame's shoulders hunched and face set in a glare. This kid should be apologizing to him. "You should watch where your mutt is walking!" Joel shot back, sharing a particularly rude gesture behind the other's back. The professor dusted himself off, wiping his hands on his off-white lab coat. The poor piece of clothing had been through so much... Explosions, goo, splatters, grime, dust, soot- it'd pretty much seen it all. The only reason the man didn't get rid of it was because it had sentimental value.

"Great!" Izumi's face lit up. She gave the rabbit one last pat on the head, stood, and began to walk, "Glad to hear i'm not the only one who isn't too familiar with this city. Did you move here recently?" Izumi couldn't express how happy she was to have someone who she hoped to consider a new friend in at least a somewhat similar boat as her. In a brand new city all by herself, the thought that she'd just ran into someone a little bit like her made her feel not as alone as she might've been otherwise.

He turned his head towards the man, sticking his tongue out."I don't care, he does what he wants." He turned his head back and started walking, this time ignoring all other comments that this man made. He turned his music up louder, cutting of all the outside sounds. Hoping that he'll leave him alone.

She smiled, walking along side her new friend. "Yeah, I'm glad I met someone nice." she smirked. Her steps were light and happy as she walked. They were getting closer to town, hopefully they would find some place nice to eat at. "This is kinda exciting!" She announced, and turned her attention to Izumi "Your so far the first friend I made here"

A smile broke out across Izumi's face, "Same here! I literally just moved in! This is so cool! Oh, and I forgot to ask," she eyed the rabbit by Taiga's feet, "What's this little guy's name? So cute! I love animals, but don't have any currently. If I settle in here well, I think I might get a pet eventually."

The man was about to speak again, but realized there was really no point. But there was no way he was losing an argument to a kid. Joel began to go his own way as well, but as he went, he made sure to brush his foot against the fox. More like kick the poor creature. This was kind of harsh- even for the professor, but he wasn't one to be ignored and or beaten.

((I feel so bad writing this ;-; I would never kick a fox...))

Although his music was playing in full volume, he still heard the whine of the little creature. "That does it..." He turned around, and before the man could do anything Nick was face to face with him. He grabbed the man by the arm, and used a judo move that he learned from TV, applying his vampire strength to the throw. He hissed at the man, showing his sharp teeth. "Im warning you!" He spat, his eyes the color of blood.

Taiga smiled, "her names Momo." she replied to her question. A bit embarrassed now though, no one ever really asked about her rabbit before. "She's been with me ever since I can remember." She announced, her voice a tiny squeak. Momo was hopping along right beside her, she looked happy as well.

He knew all about vampires. The man knew everything about everything, after all. But nothing about his knowledge of them could really help him now- since he left the house totally unprepared. "Aren't vampires who attack humans taken away?" The man said loftily, playing it cool for now. Admittedly, Joel wasn't the strongest person, but his fighting was effective when he needed it to be. "Just watch your damn mutt and we wont have a problem."
