I nodded. "It'll do. I suppose there aren't many options on an island. We could cut branches off, and maybe small trees, but knives aren't usually suited for cutting down large trees. For now, though, we can start by gathering the driftwood around here." I began picking up wood

"wow. this looks amazing, like something out of a movie." Sam said in wonder as he let her lead him along the slope.

I smiled. "Care to explain what a movie is?" I walked down to the beach and the edge of the water. "Never heard of that."

"oh, sorry. a movie is like a book, only you can see and hear the story instead of just reading it. like moving drawings." Sam explained. "we watch them for entertainment."

"Wow...sounds complicated enough." I realized I was still holding his hand and quickly let go. "Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to um...yeah." I laughed nervously and brushed my hair back from my red face. "This cove has a river that leads out to the ocean, and I thought if we stayed here tonight, we could follow the river down to the ocean when I get my tail back."

"Still it might help" she started picking up wood behind a bush "ugh, stupid debris" she said and tossed a 'nail' out and moved the other ones she found out of her path. "Hey rave, this area used to be a cove where ships came... So be careful about these sharp metal things" she said tossing another out of her way

"yeah, it is. but it turns out great if you know what you're doing." Sam replied. his face reddened when she let go. "oh, no, it's okay." he said, trying to make things less awkward. he listened to her talking and nodded. "sounds like a plan." he replied. "what would you like to do until then?" he asked as he rubbed the back of his head.

I laughed. "I'd save those if I were you. That's what holds the wood pieces together. They'll come in handy."

"I could tell you more about what it's like underwater if you want. Stories and whatnot. Some of them are pretty interesting."

"Oh" she blushed embarrassed, she grabbed some wood and grabbed all the 'nails' as she came back

Ailowny only narrowed her pale misty blue eyes suspiciously. "Who are you?" She asked pointedly, with a whip of her soft tail, secretly afraid but not wanting to show it.
