Ardai's eyes lit up, bright orange with enthusiasm.
"That's the spirit! I mean, it's my job, right?" It was his self-proclaimed duty to shine a beacon of light in any situation. No matter what disasters struck, no matter what evil villain faced them, court jester Ardai would maintain his goofy old smile.
Fivana eyes were starting to become troublesome. Not for Ardai himself, but rather for anyone who had to look at him. They beamed am unbearable neon color when Quinn suggested to work together.
"Wowie! We'll be unstoppable, and the Forellians will love us. We're going to be famous!"Calming down a bit, he decided to get down to business.
"Alright boss, we need a plan. You're the brains, I'm the brawn." He flexed a skinny bicep before rambling off on an odd tangent.
"I mean... pretty sure your telekinesis is stronger than my muscle, but it still comes from your brain, so what I said still works."Gavotte Tenuto

Gavotte went redder with embarrassment as his friend congratulated him.
"Thanks, Robin... this is all new to me. I've never felt like this before."Relationships were one thing the prince could never, ever touch. That dastardly tyrant could destroy and manipulate, but he would never split Gavotte from his friends and loved ones. He sat taller in his seat, deciding he wouldn't be intimidated by the prince's presence - at least not right now.
"Anyway, um... do you have any advice? I'm afraid to make a fool of myself." He laughed nervously. Even though neither of them had been in a relationship before, he respected Robin's intelligence - the reason he was asking.

"Hmm, I'm not sure. Would you even get in trouble?" The phoenix peeked into the aisle, looking for their commander. Sycamore soon spotted Atlanta looking rather comfortable in her seat. She and Caleb appeared to be answering questions from another recruit, Keelan, who Sycamore was unfamiliar with despite their shared upbringing in Headquarters.
"I think the commander's pretty nice. Maybe she would help you hide the squirrel from council," Sycamore said, returning her attention to Aida.
"Honestly, you should ask her! I'd love to have a cute fuzzy pet back home. We can cuddle him and play with him, oh and dress him up in tiny little solstice sweaters-"Something about Aida's earlier comment finally sank in, stopping Sycamore mid-sentence.
"Wait. What did you say... 'cold packs'?" Russet eyes went wide with horror.
"I thought those were torture devices! Why would any creature want to be cold?" As a phoenix, she didn't understand at all.
Alastair Brungard
Prince of Delra

Lucipurr - what an endearing and creative pun. Alastair showed his appreciation through a soft smile and the subtle gesture of a hand over his heart. These rebels were growing on him - so full of personality and spirit. A few had visited him over the course of his captivity, providing him company, friendship even.
Some had certainly behaved in less than courteous ways, such as this one not-so-gentleman named 'Commander Kendrick', a frequent harasser who hurled insults and slurs. However, each member in the uprising had lost someone to the emperor's blade - a friend, a mother, a brother. Alastair could not blame them for their vengeful fury. He felt it too, the burning need for revenge after dear Antonia's light was extinguished by those bloody hands.
The atrocities happening to the Forest of Memories brought back that smoldering rage, stoking the flames of revenge.
"Yes, the forest is beautiful. Years ago, after an earthquake claimed many lives, I visited there to pay tribute to my fallen people." He did not correct his use of 'my people' this time.
"Their names cannot be erased from history on a tyrant's whim. I will speak to the commander, I will even plead, but we must-" he clasped a hand to his chest, emerald eyes bright with emotion,
"we must save the forest."He leaned in a little closer, but not too close as to violate Lady Aisling's personal space. He merely wanted to ensure nobody heard his next, admittedly childish words.
"Would you join me? Speaking to a superior alone is... a daunting task." It was not the commander, it was the leadership she stood for. He was under her jurisdiction now, where mere weeks ago he was under his 'father's.
