Another girl joined the group and I noticed how fast Leila was to defend herself. I was taken aback by it but deiced not to comment on it. After all, she immedielty tried to make up for her little snap. Beside me, Athena looked quite tired and she almost did not notice the new girl. "Oh, and I'm Kai. I am a master of the ice." I said as a joke then nudged Athena.

"Hey? Got jet lag?" I asked her in a soft voice in case she did, it was a brutal thing.

Penelope sat on a patch of grass, picking at blades and freezing them, throwing them in front of her. Discomfort was tinging her face, she was nervous to be with so many other people. She didn't have many friends growing up and she was trying to open up and branch out, but she didn't know how.

Fritz shrugged. "I would think not, as its school." He said with a snort. Looking at Ansel, he asked, "You know anyone else besides your brother, Ashley and I?" If so, I would like to meet them. I'm trying to learn everyone's names by the end of the week, if not the end of term. He thought, setting himself a goal. He just hoped there wasn't too many people at Red Mood University.

At the girls reply, Leila relaxed. She had thought that the faerie was being rude, but she had actually been asking a genuine question. Well, next time, be more polite! "Hey! Wait!" She called. "I'm Leila Creekton, a werewolf." She introduced herself slightly more politely, "And who are you?" After that small incident, Kai and Athena both looked at Leila, probably thinking something like, uh, rude? It was pretty much only because even though the girl had sounded polite, now that Leila thought about it, then she thought the girl had been rude. It would be much easier when Leila knew her name. [i]Huh, good job werewolf. You just lost yourself a friend.

The roaring engine of her bike come to a halt, slowing down into a silence as the breeze blew by. India kicked her foot off of a boulevard bike. Swiftly taking her helmet off her head to let her pixie cut drop from her eyes. The sweat that remained on her forehead made a few stray hairs cling to her face. A few shakes of her head released the baby hairs gone astray. She unclipped the bags that sat either side of the back of the bike. She eyed the large building that stood in front of her. It was her versus university. She threaded her arms through the straps of her small bag which hung low. She grabbed the flaps of her leather jacket firmly as if to make her appear rougher than she does. She jingled the keys to her bike in her left pocket as she carried her bags in her right. She made her way closer to the front of the school, pulling out an envelope from the pocket which had her keys. Dorm number 9... She spoke out loud before trailing the light through the glass windows of the door.

She made her way through the doors to the school. She gave a confused eye around the entrance hall in an attempt at finding some sort of map of the building, to try and find the girls dorms. She bent at the waist and squinted her eyes at a map towards the right.I wish there was someone to help... She sighed continuing to try and read the map.

Miles waited patiently whilst the traffic light turned to a light shade of green. He put his foot down on the accelerator, making his 2006 Mazda 3 roar to life. He eventually directed the car into a wide car park with very few cars. He hesitated before exiting. He turned the dial of the radio to calm himself down, the sounds of soft songs made him feel more confident about starting a new chapter. This would be good for him. To leave his general life back where he came from. New life, new people, new school. Hopefully, it wasn't wasn't as bad as he expects it to be. He lifted a small latch near the seat lever, pulling it up towards him, releasing the latch to the trunk. He slid out swiftly on the driver's side, only to circle around to the trunk. A duffel and a suitcase laid among the other junk. He grabbed the duffel's long shoulder strap and the handle to the four wheeled suitcase, directing it towards the front of the school.

He put a hand on to the trunk door and slammed it shut. With one last glance he locked his car with a push of a button on his keys. Sliding the keys into his pocket he exchanged it for an envelope, which enclosed had a dorm key and a letter of acceptance which stated his dorm room. He was nervous, sick in the stomach even. He inhaled deeply and exhaled slowly. This is his new life. He has to get used to it.

My face turned a bright red, and for once this was a reaction that was no preallowed by the Valentin. "Oh uh, she lost hot water in her dorm for a few weeks and when it was time for her to move out they made a bet." I said and was quite embarrassed on how much I gushed when talking about the book. "My name is Lila and I am a Valentin." I said forcing back the redness on my face and letting my aura return to its normal self.

My feet carried me from the field and I found myself walking through the middle of the parking lot. The school was still adjusting to all the new arrivals and nothing happened to cause drama or discomfort in the Academy yet. In most cases, this would be a good sign but I wanted something dark and twisty to begin. My ears picked up the slamming of a car door and I turned around and saw a guy pulling out the envelope for the dorms. My curiosity peaked and I walked over towards him.

Lucy replied to Lelia’s question. “Um, I’m Lucy Butterfree.” Then she replied to Kai and Athena, “Hi! Sorry, but I need some time to think.” Then she ran into her dorm, which happened to be next to Leila’s. Lucy threw herself onto her bed and wondered why Leila was being so rude. It was a polite question, wasn’t it? she pondered. She thought that question over and over. Eventually she came to a conclusion that the werewolf thought that Lucy was rude, so Leila returned the favor. what I asked wasn’t rude... she thought. Maybe Leila just is quick to defend herself. She tried to make up afterwards though... Lucy decided to go try to make up with Leila after that incident, and walked out of her dorm.

Ara spotted a new boy heading onto the campus, carrying a backpack and walking up the path. She opened her mind to his thoughts, curious to know who he was.

Drew took a step back, half-gaping at the girl on the roof. But that wasn't the weird thing. It was the fact that she had large silver wings. And I thought I was weird, he thought.

...thought I was wierd... Ara heard the boy's faint thought. She wasn't good at long-distance thought reading, since her parents didn't usually allow her to-- but she still did sometimes.
Ara could tell, with her sharp vision, that the boy was staring at her. I wish people wouldn't stare at me so much. Lots of other species have wings. But their wings aren't as magnificent as mine, she thought pridefully. And making her decision in a split second, she jumped off the roof and swooped down to meet the boy.

Athena smiled apologetically at Kai's question.

"Yeah," I admitted as I yawned loudly, stretching my arms. Leila realized what she said sounded like and immediately tried to make up for it, but the newcomer was taken aback and backed away into her dorm. I felt sympathetic towards both of them; on one hand I couldn't imagine how hard it would be to be attacked that way, but on the other she understood how one mistake could define a lot of things. She decided not to dwell on it too much, as the girl who backed away came out of her dorm after she had regained her composure.
