████【♟】████Lanette LaneFemale ♟ Pansexual ♟ Pacifism
Tags: Leo, Caleb, other recruits -----It was slightly hypnotic to watch Leo stroke the bunny. Lanette could hardly take her eyes off the fluffy creature, its tiny button nose and softly twitching whiskers.
-----"No worries. You're pretty much our family, of course we're here to help," the pacifist said with a sweet smile.
"To be honest, I had trouble falling asleep because I was so tense. I agree it's a little nerve-wracking - it all feels too big."-----Lanette glanced over at their exit to center stage, which was now open. The confrontation at the door hadn't become violent, thankfully. Lanette was surprised that neither of the fire manipulators had ended up burning down the door. Instead, the telekinetic Naevys dealt with it. People seemed to be encouraging him to go first. It worked for Lanette - she hadn't planned to be first anyway. Her pacifist powers were better suited for last.
-----She caught Caleb's eye and noticed he looked rather apologetic. Lanette returned his look with a little smile - he often had that expression on his face when a situation occurred and she needed to calm everyone down. She appreciated his concern, but she didn't find using her powers bothersome at all. Lanette felt like she'd been given pacifying abilities for a reason. Making the world around her a little more peaceful was a good goal for her to have.
-----"The door's open now." Lanette turned back to Leo and smiled gently.
"I'll come out with you when you're ready, alright?"████【♫】████Gavotte LaneMale ♫ Heterosexual ♫ Hydrokinesis
Tags: Jen, Apollo, Naevys, other recruits -----Gavotte raised an eyebrow as Jennifer stood snarling in front of him. He shifted his water above his dominant hand, preparing to douse any flames that erupted. Fortunately, the brief confrontation didn't escalate to violence. Jen was visibly
and audibly furious, however, her voice sharpening into an infernal hiss. Only a mildly exasperated, tired expression showed on the water manipulator's face at this point. This was normal. Apollo making comments, Jen growling and snarling like
she, not Arys, was the werewolf. And Gavotte, as usual, sporting his disapproving look.
-----Then Naevys entered the scene and flung the door out of its frame, apparently to put Apollo in his place. Gavotte showed no reaction but the slightest glimmer of amusement in his eyes. That hotheaded boy was long deserving of a lesson in manners, and Gavotte appreciated Naevys' decisive action.
-----He tuned out the other commotion around him and turned back to Jen.
"Are we still on for the light show, Fire Girl?"████【➹】████Ardai FairchildMale ➹ Heterosexual ➹ Invisibility
Tags: Emma, Naevys, other recruits -----The tall redhead snickered as he watched this big fuzzy spider scurrying around the floor. Sure, Headquarters had an insect farm, but no way did they raise huge tarantulas. This was none other than Emma herself.
-----His attention was diverted by the argument between Jen and Apollo, which didn't result in a serious showdown, thank goodness. Violence was no fun. A moment after the argument had ended, Naevys ripped the door off its hinges in retaliation. Ardai's eyes widened at the destruction.
Awesome! Man, this is inspiring me for a new prank.-----As others began to talk, the troublemaker's attention flickered between Caleb, Cujo, and Arys, then back to the telekinetic. Everyone was waiting for someone else to go first - and Cujo was right. Naevys had solved the door puzzle and deserved a chance to show himself first. Ardai stepped forward and nudged the brunette with his elbow.
-----"Yo, you heard them. Get out there and show 'em what you did! If you don't, man, Apollo and I are gonna bust out there first and show off even more."-----Outside, the Council parted to the wings of the stage to make room for the new rebels. The crowd and stage had fallen silent, awaiting their young heroes' appearance. A few gasps of awe escaped them at the doves and peacocks that suddenly appeared, as if from thin air. Not a single recruit had shown their face and already the audience was captivated.
