Aqua took off her oven mitts and went into the front half of the store, greeting the customer with a cheery smile. She gathered his order up and handed him the boxes, then tapped a few buttons on the cash register to put the money in. When the bell above the door rang again, signalling that their customer left, she sighed and went back into the kitchen.
"We're almost out of red velvet, and we'll need to stock up on flour tomorrow," she said, wrapping her arms around Blaze from behind.
Blaze nodded, finishing up icing the last cupcake. "We can close early today if you want."
"Ah, I can stick it out a few more hours." Aqua pulled away. "But dealing with humans is exhausting."
