Ren tapped his foot to the ground and watched the water ripple. “I think the best option would be to have you keep an eye out while I transform. I promise it will be quick. Hopefully there are no human hunters around looking for deer..or vampires.” Ren had never ran into a Hunter with a thirst for vampire blood but he had heard of them from other vampires. Ren was tempted to just walk across the stones but he didn’t want to slip and injure himself. He turned to the crow,waiting for a reply. After they figured out the situation,Ren wanted to ask what the crows name was.

Theo folded his wings neatly upon his back. It was a bit disappointing that the other vampire didn’t want to try the most exciting route, but he supposed he understood the situation. He nodded as well as a bird could. “You can count on me.” He assured, moving a wing as if to offer a salute of farewell before bunching his legs and shooting straight up into the sky. The crow hadn’t gone too high up, but just barely reached the tree line. There were no humanoid shapes that he could make out immediately, and even if there were the bird had knocked a lot of leaves with his wings intentionally to draw attention to him. He even cawed out a tune as he circled, straying a little farther than where Ren had been the last he saw of him. They’d get another chance to talk soon.

Ren observed the creek. He wanted to make sure he transformed into something that would help him get across it,and not draw too much attention. He decided his best option was a quick and slithery snake. He transformed into a Water Moccasin and slithered quickly across the rocks until he had crossed the creek. Then he transformed back and shifted his fur coat which he was beginning to sweat in. He wanted to take it off but he knew that humans couldn’t recognize him with it on. Usually they mistook him for just another Hunter.

Ren looked at the sky. And then at the forest in front of him. For a moment he stood there silently,admiring the sounds of nature.

Ruby watched from a distance as some police observed a corpse of a plump woman who had become prey to a seemingly very large vampire. The woman had a huge gash in her head,as if someone had knocked her out before feeding of her. Ruby tapped her chin and watched the Police talk,she found it much more interesting then thinking about her best friend whom she had recently argued with.

She let out a quiet sigh of what seemed to be relief at the princess’ answer. She didn’t like seeing people... losing their lunch. Might seem strange for a vampire, but it was just how she was. She nodded at Akira, wondering if she should tell her...about meeting Akihito when they were much younger. She decided not to, for now, though she could just say she’d gotten lost... “Claw marks?” she asked again, as she’d done back at the castle. Vampires didn’t usually claw up victims...and most also knew how to not drain a person completely; they preferred to come back to the same two, three, or even four people. She asked “It wasn’t...a wild animal, was it?” not wanting to ask about vampires...She hummed quietly as she watched Akira clean her face, then watched her bring Zephyr to the tree and tie him. She then glanced about a moment, watching Akira soon after, following her gaze in the direction they’d come from. Carniss whickered at them, but she was focused on the woman...A woman at an age that she’d probably be able to tell a vampire from a human by watching them long enough...She didn’t think she should change form, but then realized Kenji had probably been still standing after getting injured, and Akira had probably noticed and begun to realize...Shrugging to herself, she shifted to fox form, yipping at Akira and jumping up and down, trying to get her to pick her up.

The human prince wondered who they had been...Had they destroyed all those supposed assassins? He shrugged, then noticed she was staring back at him and shifted on his feet a bit, because she did that for awhile...He shook his head as he even glanced away a moment. “Aralynn, I hope it was your guards whom took her away from here...I mean, it wasn’t the assassins, but...” he trailed off with a shrug, and a bit of a sigh, a quiet one who’s quietness would be obvious. He wondered if she’d have the prisoners interrogated, and if she’d be the one doing the interrogating. Then he began to have thoughts of dinner; what would Aralynn be making? Well, it’d likely be tasty either way. Yum! He then shook his head at himself... “Um...okay. Un...What are you making for dinner? Is it supposed to be a surprise?” he asked.

The raven haired vampire let out a sound, nodding at the taller, more muscular vampire. “Ah, yeah...Um...I think I should, as a...a kind of safeguard, in case anything happens to her. Oh, um, he’s a beautiful Blue tick Coonhound. His name is Morris.” she chuckled, dipping her head a moment. “An...anything new with you?” she then asked.

Fallon didn't know what to say really. He wasn't a master at coversations and there was nothing really to report. Or at least things that he figured would make for good conversation, or Konan would find interesting. "Right now I'm wishing this was easier, but there really isn't anything new to report. I've taken up Blacksmithing and have a few ideas in mind. It's just getting started on them."

"Well it was.", said Aralynn a bit disappointed but dropping it quickly, "But if you have any ideas as to what you or Akira would want I'll grant you an audiance. Just name it." The teen wasn't all that impressive as a cook but how hard could making a meal be? Normal people made meals for themselves and families everyday right? Just because cooks typically made her family's meals didn't mean they had no skill in the area. It just meant they weren't used to it. "And with the number of men I sent of course they picked up Akira. They wouldn't let anything happen to her for fear of death." At the last bit Aralynn winkes in a teasing manner giggling a bit.

" No. I've been doing as much research as I could about the happening's of our kingdom and the incidents. There is no animal that leaves claw marks quite like that. They weren't wide enough to be bears, not the right angle to be wolves or canines. I've never seen claw marks like those, except on the occasion i've accidently scratched myself when my nails get to long, but the cuts were a bit too deep for that....so I have no clue what it was, but if it's an animal, it's one we've never seen." she sighed, beginning to walk torward's the woman....but noticed Jessica had gone quiet. Akira looked back in time to see Jessica transforming into what appeared to be the fox. At that, she took a step back with wide eyes. What. The. Heck?! People can't do that! They can't just turn into animals! She shook as she looked around. There was something strange happening, and she has a feeling they were much stranger then they seemed. Thing is, she didn't want any part of it. Jessica....and whatever she was, or whatever the heck was going on....could be a trick. She wasn't entirely sure, but it was possible....everything was just so chaotic at this point, she wasn't sure what to think. Part of her wanted to freak out and run....but this wasn't the time or place for that. If she was the one who ended up taking the throne after her sister, she had to learn to keep cool in these circumstances, and freak out at a later point. Taking a deep breath, she tried to calm her nerves and analyze the situation. So, clearly, the fox was jessica....especially considering the abnormal behavior of the fox. Closing her eyes, she tried to prevent her voice from shaking as she spoke. ''' Mrs...J-Jessica, if that is you....please.....explain what is happening.......forget the plan....What the heck is going on?"

The male raised an eye, almost mockingly? Had she never paid attention to her own kind? If a opportunity that could bring forth a better reward presented itself, humans would more often then not forget about their original goals. They focused on what would bring about the best rewards, forgetting to acknowledge the potential consequences of their actions. He had recalled smelling the
presence of heiress when he arrived, but now it was nowhere to be found. All there was was a feint trail he could follow as long as it didn't rain. Tilting his head to the side, he thought for a moment, before shaking his head at Aralynn. The heiress wasn't on castle grounds. Some way or another, she was gone. Though he was positive she was still alive. While blood had been spilled, it was vampiric blood, and assasin blood. Not the heiress's.

The human prince shrugged as he looked at her, saying “Oh, um...it can still be a surprise...But maybe sweet potatoes? That’s my only request, really.” he said, another shrug coming from him. He yawned softly a moment, feeling the urge to glance back over a shoulder...However, he didn’t do so, and so Adrian was safe, for now...He nodded his head a moment, then shook it at himself and sighed as he glanced up at Aralynn again, eyes having been on his feet. “I...I mean, okay, I’ll believe.” the prince said, nodding at her this time. He gave a soft smile to her, when she winked and made it seem teasing as she giggled.

"Weapons and I'd like to maybe make a lightweight armor for our soldiers and spies, but that will take time.", Fallon replied before reaching for his belt. It from here he removed a knife offering it handle first to Konan. "Don't worry it isn't silver. All it is is painstakingly polished bronze and copper with some iron for better stability. The handle is gold. This one is an experiment to see if I had even the basic skills for weaponary, though it is small. I'm sticking to horseshoes for awhile.", said the dark haired vampire.

"Sweet pataoes huh?", Aralynn repeated thinking back on having eaten them before several times, "I think I may be able to recall one or two particular dishes that have sweet potatoes. I'm not promising I won't ruin them for you but I can try to cook them. The chefs have cooked them before and, if they can do it, how hard can it be really? Besides, who would I be if I can't grant a simple request like this?"

The crow dove toward the figure he had watched reappear from above, landing on his shoulder again just as soon as he fixed his coat. “Hmm, it is a hot day, you know.” The crow commented, moving his head to shift the Fox fur around a bit. “And I didn’t peg you as a snake kind of guy. I’m more of a cat myself but...” he spread his wings as though to say ‘here I am’. “I must warn you though, I unfortunately don’t have enough energy to keep this form up much longer.” Theo admitted. For the first time since meeting up with the other vampire, his words appeared completely serious.

Ren shifted his coat around. He wasn’t as hot as you’d expect from someone wearing lots of layers. He tapped his feet in the ground quietly. “That is a slight problem...not to worry we’ve just reached Ember.” He gestured to the entrance which wasn’t too far. “It won’t take long for us to find my friend,and once we do you can go on your way if you like.” Ren watched a couple hunters glance at him but then turn their attention back to what they were doing. “Oh I almost forgot to ask you’re name,how rude of me.”

It was definitely the work of Ren,no other vampire that she’d met knocks out their prey before feeding. Especially not in the way Ren does it. She wondered how long ago he had been here,or if he was still around..
