Kane looked at the strange skin in his hand and shrugged as he walked down the beach. The girl didn't come back to get the strange skin from him. He decided to keep it until he found the girl again and give it back. Watching from behind a tree, Zaikeil watched as Kane walked off with her sealskin, why she didn't grab it and run back into the sea, she won't know. It could be that fear of what happened before made her run into the trees and not what she would normally do.

Sapphire's head popped up above the water as she watched the shore of the island. she liked to see if she could spot any humans since they seemed to come to this spot from time to time. her eyes lit up when she actually saw one nearby, but then looked closer as she saw him carrying something that looked like a silkie skin. another quick look around and she spotted a girl watching the human from behind a tree. that must be her skin. she thought. she dove underwater again and re-surfaced close to the silkie. "hello." she greeted quietly. "is that your skin?" she asked.

Zaikeil was about to run again before she noticed that it was someone was near her, and a siren by the looks of it. It was kind of embarrassing that she just let a human grab her sealskin that she didn't want to say anything. "Yes. He frightened me that I didn't take it when I ran." As the thought of telling her why exactly she reacted the way she did, Zaikeil glanced to where the human was before until she looked at her feet.

I scooted a little farther away from the fire as it grew and I realized I could feel the heat coming from it. I looked over at Sam curiously. "Are you going to cook the fish? I've never had cooked fish, but I've heard other sailors talk about it."

I heard a cry come from where Crystal had disappeared to, and ran over worried the dead shark had attracted other sharks. I looked down from the rock I was standing on, no longer worried. "What...what happened to you?" I asked Crystal.

Sapphire looked back at the human and after a bit of consideration asked, "do you want me to help you get it back?" she asked. usually she never sang when she was around the island in case a human accidentally heard her, but she would never kill a human anyway. this time would be for a good cause so she supposed there wasn't any harm.

"yep." Sam replied. "like you said earlier humans can't really eat raw meat, although most fish is usually fine. i just like the way it tastes cooked better." he said as he held the skewered fish over the fire.

She just nodded before she sat down near the water. "Don't want to be stuck on land again." Zaikeil said without thinking that there could be somebody else around that they couldn't see. This was the first time in a long that she said so much in her human form.

Sapphire nodded and got up on a rock. she took a deep breath and let the sweet, haunting melody of her siren song wash over the beach and towards the human. once he got close enough they would be able to take the skin back with no fuss since he would be under her song spell.
