Samantha peeked her head out of the side of the place and watched as Larkai went to the dock. She watched and waited to this boy Thomas's response to Larkai.

"Wow, well you've got us two." He gestured to Opal. "I hope you find other friends, hanging around with the same people can get annoying sometimes .Trust me I know." Carter replied, not trying to be hard or trying to get them to leave. Just simply stating his knowledge.

"Alas," I say, looking into Carter's eyes. "I've been here fir twelve years. I've made quite a few friends, but its always nice to make some more. And, true. There was this one little girl once here, she followed me around like a puppy dog because she saw me tail" I laugh, and I understand how he meant that. I just realzed what I said. Hearing his question, Lola gave a small laugh and nodded her head. "Mhm! They are like human houses, but they are somewhat different. They are made out of different materials, so they could be underwater." She responded, not seeming to mind the many questions. In fact, she had a few questions for the human. Reaching forward, she grabbed her bottle of soda and took a sip of it. "I remember you mentioning movies earlier. What is a movie?" She inquired, her blue eyes filling with curiosity.

Hearing someone say his name, Thomas tilted his head and peered up at Larkai. "Hang out? Sure, I don't mind." He responded, flashing a smile. He noticed that she looked sad and scared, so he had decided to give her a smile to ease her worries. "Ah, how's your arm from earlier?" He questioned, lifting an eyebrow. It was her arm, right? He added in his thoughts, but he did not ask.

Walking onto the dock, Daniel held onto the lantern between his hands. He noticed that others were releasing their lanterns, so he quickly moved to reach them. He stretched his arms out and released his lantern into the sky. A grin formed on his lips, his brown eyes following his lantern until he could no longer tell it apart from the other lanterns.

noticing another girl coming up to speak to Thomas, Jenna kept quiet and spaced out a little. She was lost in her own little world for a while, just staring up at the illuminated night sky. She wished her little brother could see it, but alas, the six-year old had gotten himself sick the other day when he had refused to wear a coat while playing outdoors. Jenna ran her fingers though her hair, leaning back on the dock. A quiet sigh escaped past her lips, and she flicked the water with her feet every once in a while out of boredom.

Marie looked at Opal. "Opal, could I talk to you for a second? Alone?"

Kyler looked at her. "Well I linda live here." He said and looked down at his tail.

Carter took a step back, wanting to respect their privacy. He waited for his instructions if the girls wanted to talk alone.

Payton relaxed, looking into the water and noticing the tail. "Wait, you're a merman!" Her eyes changed to a deep blue, lit with interest.
