Ella worked quickly and deftly until she could finally finish off the bandages in a tight knot. She was practiced enough that she barely needed to look at what she was doing, able to keep a wary eye on the situation at hand as she worked. Her eyes had slid over the scars on Quinn’s back that hadn’t been hidden, scars hadn’t been particularly uncommon in the rebels she’d treated before and she was focused on the task at hand. At his response to her gentle but logical words the area between Ella’s eyebrows wrinkled in concern. He seemed shocked by her concern for his well-being, despite the fact it had once been her duty to care for the injured and was still her calling. “You don’t owe me any favours, the duty you’ve performed here is a favour to the whole of Delra… and it’s letting me come home.” She softened her voice a little for the last few words. It was possible that at this point Alastair had realised what she really was, but she didn’t want to make it completely obvious. ”It’s just Ella though, there’s no need to call me princess anymore.”

When Quinn began to keel forward Ella’s arms shot out to steady him but he seemed to catch himself before she needed to. He seemed to be feeling the effects of the blood loss now, if not the pain itself, and Ella was concerned and impatient to get him somewhere safe. Pressing her lips together she watched as Quinn covered the bandages with his hoody before beginning to speak. It would be harder to keep an eye out and make sure the wound wasn’t bleeding through their bandages that way but no doubt it would be more comfortable for him. The dismissive, confident words he followed up with weren’t the most believable, but Ella couldn’t argue with the underlying logic.
“Proper treatment would be easier in the warmth of the train as long as everyone injured at least has some sort of bandaging.” The wound on her own jaw was still bleeding and her hands and dress were decorated with spots of Quinn’s blood. As she continued, worry was obvious in her voice. “We don’t look particularly inconspicuous though.”

She was glad to see Onyx approach and offer support to their friend, they would know Quinn better than she did and so would be able to help in ways she couldn’t. A faint smile appeared on her face when they thanked her.
”Better than ever now you lot are here.” Again her voice was soft as she spoke. She truly didn’t want to offend the Prince but it was true that she was glad to be going home again. “I only wish I could do more to help.”
She truly was cursing her implant at this point, she’d always imagined that if not for its insertion at birth she’d have some sort of healing abilities, like Cujo. In fact, she could remember when the younger medic had first began helping out in the hospital ward and how jealous she had been.

Brenn was grateful to see another of their squad quickly take down the guard he’d hit in the shoulder. Then, following Onyx’s eyes, he turned to watch the duel going on between the Commander of the guard and Prince Alastair. Impressively Aisling appeared, seemingly out of nowhere, and stopped a guard from sneaking up and disturbing the duel and quickly enough Wayne was unconscious on the ground.
Now they were seemingly safe Brenn smiled gratefully as Onyx collected all the thrown blades for him. His smile quavered slightly, however, at his best friend’s seemingly light words.
“Good thing my mum always used to tell me off for relying solely on my ice, huh?” He accepted the blades, but his breath caught in his throat slightly at the sight of the blood coating them. “But maybe it’s not such a good thing after all.”
The guilt at the ease with which he sent knives into other human beings was beginning to strengthen now so Brenn was grateful for the invitation to join Onyx in checking on Quinn. He followed them as they weaved past their other teammates, his mood at least cheered slightly by Onyx’s sudden beam before moving off. Onyx’s teasing voice was familiar and Brenn smiled warmly at Quinn as Onyx ducked under his arm.
“You definitely look like really cool bros.”

The fight was over. Wayne was defeated, knocked unconscious on the ground. She knew the time was fast approaching to decide exactly what they'd do with the royal guards. She didn't advise just leaving them here, however, having so many prisoners could be tricky. Killing them... well, that wasn't a path she really wanted to take. Now that the battlefield was clear, she approached Gavotte and looked him up and down. Instantly she was relaxed upon finding he was alright and did not sustain any visible wounds. From there she wrapped him in a hug without a word.

Ardai Fairchild
Shadow puppets
Location: Near train station
Tags: Caleb, Freyja

Hazel eyes widened in surprise as Aisling ran off. Ardai's feet itched to start bolting after her, but Caleb appeared to disapprove. The redhead opted to stay silent instead, not even making any silly quips. He watched the summoner with narrowed eyes, impatiently waiting for a sign that he could leave. Ardai did get distracted momentarily by the falcon in flight, but soon returned his attention to the dwindling group. The plan was proceeding well as the moth (actually a dragonfly, but this idiot couldn’t tell the difference) took to the light.
When Caleb told Freyja she was 'good to go', Ardai took it the wrong way and a grin spread across his face. He glanced at the small group of Royal Guards before turning back to Caleb. "Alrighty, my job here is done. I'm off to the station! I'll keep an eye out for our little runaway, too." He gestured to the train station, which was close and in view of their group. With a wave, he walked off at a leisurely pace, expecting Caleb and Freyja to catch up soon. Executing the final steps of the plan wouldn't take long, and it was best to leave before the Royal Guards turned attention to them.

Alder
Undercover Royal Guard
Location: Near train station
Tags: Caleb, Freyja, fellow guards

Curse this blight-damned mission, thought the disgruntled young guardsman. Bitterness gnawed at him like a canker would a tree. Of course Headquarters had to send him straight to the Royal Guard to infiltrate, and now he was forced to deal with the likes of Wayne Montgomery.
Thankfully, Wayne had taken his ridiculous cronies to patrol the woods behind Luminos Station. Alder was looking forward to having a peaceful patrol for once, when he noticed suspicious movement out of the corner of his eye. Must be Phoenix Squad. They're supposed to be capturing Prince Alastair today, how could I forget?
Alder discreetly slipped a knowing glance towards the two rebels still standing there, then turned to his fellow guardsmen. He would have to distract them for a moment, hopefully give the 'delinquents' time to slip away. "Captain Justine, shouldn't Wayne be back soon?"

(Have we heard this name before?)

Gavotte Tenuto
Water manipulation
Location: Forest
Tags: Jen

Now that the battle was officially over, Gavotte turned his attention away from the soldiers. Aisling had charged into the clearing but was okay... that was all that mattered. The waterbender looked over his allies, concern growing as he saw their injuries. Some of them were hurt pretty badly. Quinn in particular was surrounded by people offering help, which he clearly needed, given the amount of blood in the area. Gavotte shuddered and looked away, unable to stomach that for long.
He froze in shock and embarrassment as warm arms wrapped around him, enveloping him in a big hug. Jen. Gavotte relaxed and leaned in to return the embrace. "Thanks for saving me back there," He murmured, resting his head against her. He could hear her heartbeat like this, and it was comforting, blocking out the sights of the battlefield. "I'm so glad you're okay. The team needs you - and I need you."

Alastair Brungard
Prince of Delra
Location: Forest
Tags: Aisling

Something softened in the Prince's eyes as the rebel expressed concern for him, then proposed an ultimatum with wide and sorrowful eyes. He felt an unexplained warmth in his heart at the gesture. "Ah, I see... I accept your terms, then." There was a noticeable delay followed by awkward and almost ill-fitting words. Alastair thought little of the slip-up, however, and regarded the kind lass with a tender smile. He steadied her with one hand resting on her shoulder, then gently but firmly pressed the bundled-up tie against her wound.
He realized that a proper introduction was overdue. Prince or not, to assume everyone already knew him would be rude. "Oh! Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Alastair, Crown Prince of Delra, but call me what you please. I take it you are friends with these fellows - a most hospitable sort they are." He angled his head to indicate the other rebels. "May I ask for your name, good lass?"

Atlanta Hunter
Phoenix Squad Commander
Location: Forest
Tags: Everyone

Concern was obvious on Atlanta's face as the telekinetic spoke, confidence showing despite obvious signs of overexertion. She had to admit, though, it was admirable of him to be strong for his team. The commander made up her mind and nodded at Quinn and Ella, trusting their judgement. While Atlanta would be keeping a close eye on them in case the situation worsened, for now she'd let Onyx and Brenn take over. She had no medical knowledge and couldn't physically support him with her hurt shoulder. Her own burning injury was the least of her priorities right now though.
"Alright, I trust you on this. Please do take care," Atlanta said, nodding solemnly to the gathered rebels. "Before we head back, though, we need to decide what to do with these soldiers."

"Commander, may I propose a course of action?" Green eyes fixed on her from across the clearing. Atlanta turned, noticing Prince Alastair on his knees beside a newly-arrived Aisling. The commander nodded to Alastair, allowing him to continue. Everyone's ideas were worth sharing and he had the home field advantage.
"I advise you bring Captain Wayne if that is possible. Leaving him would harm you in the long run; his lies would be devoured by the Emperor's inner circle. As for the other soldiers, they hold neither leverage nor reputation. Leaving them behind is safe; their words will amount to only rumors." As he spoke, the Prince never took his hands away from Aisling's wounds. Although Atlanta wouldn't let her guard down just yet, this did soften her heart a little.
The commander took a moment to mull this over. Despite everything, his suggestions did seem logically sound. It was worth considering. "Alright, let's vote on it then."

(You can pretend your character voted - I'm time-skipping to avoid lingering on this boring part. By the poll, the majority is in favor of Wayne being captured, but the other soldiers being left here.)

Once everyone had voted, Atlanta felt better about the decision. "Alright, it's settled then. Wayne is coming with us, but the others stay." She took a moment to look over the battlefield. She'd lost track of Caleb's bird, but right now her priority was checking for potential injuries. Cujo, Arys, Robin and Demetria were thankfully unharmed, and Gavotte and Jen were having a nice reunion. The others were already caring for their injured friends, so the other six would have to handle Wayne. Atlanta couldn't haul him alone after that mace smashed her shoulder. "Could someone help me carry the captain?"
Now that important matters had been attended to, Atlanta had time to take the leftover gauze from her pocket. Gritting her teeth against the pain, she pressed it tight against her torn-up shoulder.

"I can help. But Captain, your shoulder. You shouldn't risk hurting it more." Robin walked briskly over towards Atlanta, a look of concern in her eyes. Surely having to carry around an entire person wouldn't be good for her injury. Robin glanced back at Gavotte and Jen, glad to see that both were unharmed.
She looked again at the Prince, still on the fence about him. He seemed to be kind and polite, but this could all be a trick to find out where the rebels were hiding. I guess we'll just have to be careful. I feel awful for whoever has to guard the lump of rot I'm stuck carrying.

Her brows furrowed, gentle concern flitting across her features as Aisling disappeared around the corner, declaring that she’d assist the others. Tempting as it was to follow, she remained in her position. There was a plan to follow through, perhaps a crucial necessity. The rest of the Phoenix Squad had each others’ back. They’d be fine. She really hoped so. If any of them were injured… She dismissed the thought quickly, swallowing her unease. The knowledge that Aisling would be present to help out eased the weight on the chest, a quiet reassurance. If timed correctly, it would be an element of surprise, potentially landing a few good strikes to aid the rest of the teams.

Ardai had started off with the beginnings of the plan, followed shortly by Caleb directing a dragonfly to the top of the street-light. “On it,” she confirmed, voice quiet. The summoner’s direction was helpful and she returned his grin with a small smile. She didn’t have to search for long, before her attention was drawn to the Royal Guards that Caleb had pointed out. A discreet glance from one of the guards caught her eye. Had they been spotted? Concern threatened to tug at her features as he turned to address his fellow comrades, but she bit the inside of her lip instead. In that case, she had to make it quick. Quick, but subtle.

Come. A soft command to beckon the wind close, her hands loosely at her sides and shoulders relaxed as an invitation for it to gather. The response was swift from a cooler wind, an easier form to work with. She spared a lingering glance towards the light, then to the guards in-conversation, quietly gauging distance. Her eyes closed and two fingers of her right hand curled as she channeled the wind to gradually shift to move behind the Roy. Now. A subtle unclenching of her fingers sent a gentle breeze flowing from behind the guards, arching towards the general direction of the shadow graffiti.

“Okay.” Was it enough? She exhaled shakily, sucking in a quiet breath as she turned to Caleb. Ardai was nowhere to be seen - he’d gone off? She vaguely recalled something about him leaving, but she must have been distracted for the most part. It was a good idea, though. “We should get going,” she murmured, placing a hand on the summoner’s shoulder. She nodded towards the train-station up ahead, where Ardai had likely gone-off to. She didn’t dare risk a look over her shoulder back at the guards, in-fear of the motion being spotted.

She pulled away when he finished what he had to say. "I'm glad you're okay too, I was scared to death when I saw those guards... that was too close of a call." Jennifer admitted before voting after having overheard Atlanta's announcement. The guards that had been either killed or knocked out would be left but Wayne was to come with them as another prisoner. It was certainly putting far too much trust in Alastair for Jen's liking but he had not wronged them yet. This didn't mean what he had done thus far was not all a ploy, he'd have to build their trust if he was going to get anywhere. Regardless all had voted, and now that the battle was, well, hopefully over it was time to get going. While Jennifer wouldn't have minded assisting Atlanta, Robin had already rushed to her aid. Instead she settled on keeping an eye on Alastair again and therefore hanging behind.

Quinn tilted his head ever so slightly as Ella informed him that he didn't owe her anything. Which was silly because he owed her his life and he would have to repay that debt somehow. Though it seems that she wasn't quite on the same page as him so he would have to figure out how to repay that debt somehow without bothering her about it. So instead of pursuing that he let it drop and instead gave her a small nod.

Quinn could hear the voice of Onyx which cause him to glance over, he watched as they retrieved some daggers and hope fluttered in his chest. However that hope was dashed when he realized that Onyx had left behind his daggers and instead just returned Brenn's daggers, one that had been thrown at the solider who had been attacking Onyx. The second from a solider that had tried to attack Ella. His own two daggers stayed embedded in the solider that had attacked Onyx. For a moment he concidered dropping the energy being used to keep his blood inside his body in favor of pulling his daggers to him, one was special after all. However he decided to just gather as much energy as possible to do that later. At the sound of Ella's voice he pulled his gaze away from his beloved dagger and cast a glance over at Ella as she backed his idea of getting the heck out of dodge before working on the injured. Plus her points where even better than his, the whole warmth of the train did make their case even better. "Maybe Aisling could use her power to shield us from view, it should help us sneak by without having to worry about prying eyes" he offered while glancing over at the prince and Aisling.

It was as he was looking over at Aisling that Onyx joined them so he was caught a bit by surprise at the sound of his friend voice and he turned slightly to peer at them. For a moment his expression was unreadable as he forced himself to forget about the dagger situation. It had truly hurt him that his friend hadn't grabbed them for him despite the fact that he had thrown them for them. Forcing a cheerful expression he allowed them to sling their arm over his shoulder. He didn't really say anything at first but turned his attention to Ella. "Ella your injured too. I am sorry for distracting you from your own injury. Will you allow me to bandage that for you?" he asked sweetly. Without pausing he glanced back at the solider and focused on his daggers while opening his palm to urge them towards him. It took more effort than usual to get them to pop to him and at first they only trembled. The effort could be seen on his normally confident expression since his eyebrows furrowed and his jaw clenched and sweat beaded on his forehead. Finally the daggers leaped from their spot and shot into a very tired telekinetic's hand. With a small shuddering breath he stowed his ornate dagger and turned to offer his hand to Ella. It was then he remembered he hadn't said anything to Brenn or Onyx and he glanced over at the two. Now that he had exhausted so much energy to get his daggers his cool expression was gone and he just looked worn out and tired. "Calm down there, there is only one cool bro here and it isn't me" he said lightly. It was the best he could do and he didn't want to offend anyone right now. With that he glanced back at Ella.

Aisling's expression softened even more when she saw the prince soften as well. It wasn't super noticeable but she could see that her concern made the prince happy to some degree. Luckily he didn't bring up the whole delay or the awkwardness that she seemed to exude from the beginning. Instead of getting stuck on that piece he seemed to breeze right past it and instead offered her a tender smile. That smile was all it took to tear down the rest of Aisling assumptions about the prince, this was someone who was willing to help a rebel. If someone had been pretending to be good they wouldn't have to gone to such lengths to deceive, so he had to be good. With that thought in mind she allowed her smile to widen into a sweet grin. It was the same smile that she would offer to those she was close to, Sycamore, Lanette and Gavotte. Tilting her head slightly to give Alastair better access to her injury while she reached into one of the pockets of her skirt to pull out a small med kit. It wasn't much but it had a few bandages it in since she had been worried that her team might run into trouble. Not that she had assumed it would happen but she would rather have it with her than wish she had it. It turned out to be a good thing that she had it since she needed it now. Fixing her gaze on Alastair she was happy when he introduced himself, sure she knew who he was already but it was a nice thing for the prince to do. Following his gaze to the other rebels she was touched that he hadn't called them rebels or ruffians or anything like that. "Them? They are my family. Without them I would have nothing at all" she responded gently while casting a soft expression at the team she called her family. Then as though realizing she hadn't fully addressed what he had said she turned her soft gaze back upon Alastair. "It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance Alastair. I am Aisling MacCarthy but you can call me whatever you want."

Her attention was drawn to the commander when Alastair addressed Atlanta, the best she could do was peer at Atlanta out of the corner of her eye. If she had been able to get a good look at their commander she would have noticed the injury that she had sustained in the battle, however her vision was slightly blurred so she didn't notice at all. If she had noticed she would have spoken up. Instead she voted to bring Wayne with them while letting the other solider's live. They weren't the light, they didn't get to decide who lived and who died. That wasn't up to them. Besides no matter how bad these soldiers were they had families too, families that would miss them if they died. She was pleased when the other's voted in a similar fashion. When Atlanta asked for someone to help with the captain she didn't think twice since she knew the commander was strong and still didn't notice that she was injured. Cause she would have insisted that someone like Arys' or Demetria or Jennifer help the commander. However she didn't notice so she had her full attention back on Alastair. Her gaze was fixed on the wound and she started to reach out towards the gash. "Oh! Alastair can I work on bandaging your wound?" she asked. She remembered him asking her a similar question and she assumed that if he asked her that he would appreciate her asking. Also she hope that it would make him feel more comfortable and that was her end goal. He had ensure she was comfortable so she had to do the same for him.

Now everyone who was injured during battle was being tended to. She had managed to avoid sustaining any wounds this time. Although she knew not to expect such luck in future fights. Her sister soon became of upmost importance when she saw her struggling. Robin was first to approach after the decision to leave every Royal Guard but Wayne was made. Even so, Demetria hurried over right after her, "Don't worry about carrying him. Robin and I can." She took a step towards her older sister from there in high hopes that she'd accept her offer, in fact, had she decline she'd try and make her. "Please go see Ella for me too," the brunette added as she eyed her bloody shoulder with concern. She knew her sister was strong however she'd have to get something wrapped around that until they got back. She was surprised she'd made it this long as she had already lost quite a bit of blood as is.

Gavotte Tenuto
Water manipulation
Location: Forest
Tags: Jen, Arys

Ocean-blue eyes were soft but determined as he gazed up at Jen. Even warriors as strong as her could be afraid, and the thought sent a stab of sympathy through Gavotte's heart. He wanted to fight for a world where neither of them would have to be scared again. Unable to put his sentiments in words, however, he just responded with a gentle "thank you." Hopefully his eyes would say things for him.
He stared after the fire-wielder as she went to guard Prince Alastair. Emboldened after seeing her fight Royal Guards, he wasn't that worried anymore about a soft and spoiled aristocrat. Most of the other rebels were gathered around in groups to help each other, and Gav was too shy to approach even the smaller crowds, so he instead sought out Arys and walked over.
"Hey," Gavotte said softly to the werewolf. "How are you holding up after that fight? Are you hurt?"

Alastair Brungard
Prince of Delra
Location: Forest
Tags: Aisling

Alastair was touched at a shift in the good lass's smile - she now regarded him with an expression that could only be described as familiar. She looked upon him as if greeting an old friend. While the gesture brought warmth to his heart, he also felt a pang of longing. Someone had long ago smiled at him in such a manner, someone now lost to the sands of time. No matter. The pain of the past should not interfere with kindness shown in the present. The Prince returned the well-mannered rebel's smile, softness and appreciation glistening in his bright green eyes.
"You come prepared," the Prince remarked as the lass pulled out a medical kit. It was an ingenious idea for revolutionaries to travel with such supplies, given the high potential of being attacked in the field. He noted this lady in particular seemed to act with admirable intelligence and forethought. Kindness, too, as shown by her actions both now and previously. She mentioned the other rebels were her family, another rather sweet gesture which brought a fond expression to his face. The lass then introduced herself formally and with impeccable manners.
"Likewise," Alastair spoke softly, referring to the pleasantries. "And that is a lovely name, Lady Aisling."

He had noticed the commander's injury while addressing earlier, but chose to say nothing of it. She would live, and there were more pressing matters for the rebels' attention at the moment. One particular young lad, the telekinetic who advocated for peace earlier, had suffered a calamitous wound that would prove fatal if left unattended.
Alastair was taken aback when the injured lad levitated his daggers back to his hand, seeming to exert great effort. Could the pointed-ear gent beside him not aid in such a task? They had, after all, retrieved the knives of their other ally. The Prince decided this was not his place to judge, however. He looked over the other rebels, including Ella, and determined the rest were not injured to a life-threatening extent like the telekinetic lad. They and their commander would live.

When Lady Aisling reached out with a small hand, Alastair returned his gaze to her. "Ah, apologies; you certainly may," He told the young rebel with a warm smile, delighted to see such manners and respect. The Prince was generally reluctant about letting others touch his chest, but this once he would make an exception. It would be rude to decline aid offered with such politeness and compassion. "Thank you, Lady Aisling."
He attempted to make a little talk, uncertain of how else to conduct himself while someone was tending to his wounds. Of course, he never allowed it to show. "Is life difficult in the rebellion? I hope your family does not go hungry often. I will not have my allies suffering and starving in their own homes, that simply will not do."
He caught his voice lifting, rising with the intensity of his determination to make things right. Perhaps he was becoming a little too passionate. Alastair decided it would be wise to discontinue that sentence before he launched straight into a rant about bright visions of Delra's future, or as the rebels would call it, his political propaganda. It was far more than beautiful lies to him, but now was not the time to start talking so avant-garde.

Atlanta Hunter
Phoenix Squad Commander

The commander smiled in appreciation as two squadmates approached to help. She could always depend on the hard-working Robin and Demetria to aid in such tasks. Both of them, however, noticed Atlanta's wounded shoulder and remarked on it. The commander made no argument - the two girls could carry out their task on their own.
"Thank you for your help, both of you." Atlanta told them, then turned to Demetria. Though the burning pain continued to worsen, it was nowhere near life-threatening, and the commander gave a hearty laugh to reassure her sister that. "Haha! I appreciate the thought, but this paper cut won't kill me. Ella needs to make sure Quinn pulls through, but I'll ask for some help on the train. Promise."
She grinned through clenched teeth, then turned to look over the clearing. Nobody had suddenly collapsed from undetected injuries, that was good at least. What was not good was Quinn shakily levitating his knives to himself. What in tarnation, can't somebody help with that?

"Everyone just has to grab their weapons, and then we can leave," the commander told Robin and Demetria, hinting at what she planned to do. Striding across the clearing, Atlanta picked up Quinn's bow and arrows where they had fallen during the battle. She managed to gingerly tuck the unbroken items under her good arm. His quiver had been damaged, a shame, but no big deal compared to his actual injury. A quiver could be replaced but Quinn couldn't be.
She approached Quinn, smiling at his companions in greeting before sticking his weapons in his direction. She kind of resembled a penguin sticking out its fin. Atlanta couldn't hand the weapons to him normally, thanks to her useless and throbbing left arm, so this ridiculous gesture would have to do...
"Don't worry about the quiver," She told him with a smile. "I designed it anyway, so the pattern's no good. You know my fashion sense. When we get back to Headquarters, how about you design a new one with me?"
Thinly veiled behind her words was a message: You will make it back home. You won't die here, not if we can help it.

Aisling's lips tugged further up at Alastair's remark about her med kit. She was secretly pleased that he approved of her taking the little kit with her. It reinforced her idea that it was necessary to be prepared for anything, the best, the worst and mediocre. She hadn't had a chance to see how useful a med kit on the field would be but now she knew just how necessary it was. "Always, I don't go anywhere without it. Who knows when something might happen" she responded cheerfully and reasonably. The fond look that warmed Alastair's expression warmed her heart. It was good to see such a soft expression on his face. From what she had been told he was the hopes and dreams of the Delra and she hadn't believed until now. Now that she was meeting him in person she understood what people saw in him, he was a kind soul who truly wanted peace. The Eighnes where right to have nicknamed him that. That being said she could also see that he was only human, something she wondered if the other's remembered. For a moment she pondered over the idea that perhaps the weight of countries hopes and dreams weighted him down. If she had to hazard a guess she assumed those hopes and dreams were a heavy weight. She was pulled from her musings when she heard Alastsair address her again. While she was happy to hear that he liked her name she was a bit taken aback by the way she was addressed. 'Lady Aisling' wasn't her first choice in names to be called. However she refrained for saying anything or showing any discomfort, after all she had been the one to tell him to call her whatever he wanted. So if 'Lady Aisling' was most comfortable to him then she wasn't about to say anything about it.

Offering Alastair a soft smile when he allowed her to start bandaging his wound, from what she could tell he seemed to be pleased with her actions so far. She wanted to say she could tell more but Alastair was surprisingly hard to read, the only real read she could get on him were the expressions that he was willing to share with her. With that thought in mind she reached out and started to bandaging his chest. Her fingers ghosted over his exposed chest and she only applied enough pressure to get the job done. Other than that her touches were gentle and soft. The reason for her gentleness was because she didn't want to hurt him and she also couldn't read him well enough to gauge if he was uncomfortable. So she would rather be overly gentle then not know that she was pushing Alastair too much. She gave him a small nod when he thanked her and then he started in on the small talk. Though to be fair he seemed to genuinely care about what he was asking about. "We may not live in the lap of luxury but we have each other and that is enough. We don't go hungry and we look after our own. Hopefully one day that will expand to include everyone in Delra. That is the end goal at least" she said thoughtfully. She hadn't caught how his voice had started to lift, the determination in his voice came through. Unlike others though she didn't see at as too passionate she just saw it as Alastair trying to get to know her little family better. "You needn't worry yourself over us Alastair. We are a team now, we will look after you too." With those words she refocused back on the bandaging. She was trying to be quick so that Alastair didn't have to just sit there waiting for her. "You are talented at the art of dueling. I take it you train often. How did you get such a graceful edge to your fighting style. I personally do freestyle and hip hop but I don't have the same level of grace" she asked curiously. It was her hope that she could find something more in common with Alastair.
