Natalie gazed into the forest, shielding her eyes from the sun with her hand in the process. More than anything, she wanted to discover what creatures existed beyond the territory they had explored, and just in general what secrets the island held. A small debate formed itself in her head. To go or not to go...

"Okay. Okay." I took a deep breath. "I wish we had some anesthetic. Sit down." I gestured to a rock.

Trevor sat as she told him, wincing a little. He removed his hand completely to let hr get a good look. "Is it really that bad?" He asked.

Wrinkling my nose, I nodded. "Especially with all the moving we'll be doing. I wouldn't trust it to heal on its own."

[Me?Sarcastic?]

"What moving? What happened? All I remember is the ship was sinking and i was pushed onto a life boat. That's it." He asked.

"Huh, you must have fallen out of the lifeboat." I muttered, not really focusing on his words. "We don't know much, either, but now we're here. And we're going to find some shelter, so..." I started stitching up the wound.

Trevor flinched a it when she began, but tryed to keep as still as possible. "Oh." Was all he said to answer her. "What's your name by-the-way?" he asked.

Scrunching my face up, I focused intently on the needle. "Ariani." To anyone else, my tight jaw and stiff hands might seem like I was afraid, but really I was just being careful.
