Ren waved and watched Rori walked to her room. Ren was soon hug tackled by Ruby. Ruby wrapped her arms around Ren. “There you are I’ve been looking all over for you!” Ren gently shoved Ruby off him. “What did I tell you about personal space.” Ruby played with his bangs. “Oh stop being a grumpy bat.” She looked at the blood that tinted his hair. “Aww you went feeding without me!?”

The taller man blinked once at the red head trying to comprehend what she was asking. He wasn't sure why Jessika was asking him to go on a ride with him so suddenly. The rejection was already on his lips before he knew it but he stopped before the words could be spoken. Why shouldn't he go on this ride with her? It was just taking the horses out for a run- nothing wrong with that. But he needed to go see the king and get his orders. And there was much to oversee at the potential war that may break out. He watched her as she offered her hand to Zephyr to smell and get used to her scent. Unable to help himself, he took in a breath through his nose to see if he could get the scent too. There was a strong, unmistakable horse odor mixed with more unpleasant things for sure. But just beneath the surface, there was a different smell entirely. It was like a lavender field basked in dew at midnight. It may seem like a specific smell but to him- they all made sense to his analytical mind. He wouldn't soon forget the smell. He took a step closer to her and the horse. He gently moved his hand over hers and placed it on the Arabian's long snout. He let her fingertips touch the coarse hair there down to the softer bits around his nose. Zephyr was patient and hardly moved while their hands were placed on him. They trained him well. Quickly, he pulled away and cleared his throat. Should he apologize for touching her without asking? He wasn't able to bring himself to remind them of the little moment they shared. "A ride sounds nice. I can wait for a bit before getting back to work. Let me grab his saddle." Without another word, he walked away from her to fetch his equipment from the nearby storeage.

Aralynn - Ember Palace - tagged; - 
Aralynn watched as Duality left turning a corner and was cut off from her line of sight. Still though the man was gone it took several more minutes before the young queen let herself relax. Every muscle in her body released it's tension all at the same time. This in turn causing the blonde young women to seemingly crumble. Good thing nobody was around, because they surely would be up in arms at the sight of their queen sitting on the floor. Her back pressed leaning against the stone of the cooridoor walls. She staring blankly at a suit of armor accross the hall standing sentry between two of the large windows. She was exhausted and it was plain to see this after a few tense moments with the hooded man. Head resting back against stone. Aralynn chanced a glance down at her arm which had ceased it's active bleeding, now having left the drying wound and stains on her skin behind. It had to be treated before someone found out. Luckily there was no chance of running into either heir as they were off somewhere together on the castle grounds. The young women could treat this on her own.

Hurrying on her way to the castle, she eventually made it to her destination, and she ran about the halls until she found Aralynn. Only, when she did, the queen was sitting on the floor of a corridor. Her sister looked exaughsted, and...injured?wait. Aralynn was injured?! Rushing over to her sister in a slight panic, she sat on her knees beside her. '' What the heck happened to you?! Why are you injured?!"

Once he turned the corner to where she couldn't see him,he used his speed to run off, swiftly exiitng the castle's grounds. Once outside, Al had woken up, and for the time being Adrian relinquished control, but only for now. he could easily have kept it if he wanted. "Care to explain anything, Adrian?" All in good time, Al. We have quite a bit to discuss

The redhead fully expected he might reject it, seeing how the King was and all...Kenji obviously still had work to do, though he himself had said he didn’t need to be back right away. She wondered if he’d said that for her sake...though highly doubted it. He probably just wanted to see Zephyr, that was all. She smiled as the pitch black Arabian scented her, not noticing how Kenji did the same...Probably a good thing, though, that she didn't. She’d always smelled like flowers, strangely, a calming and gentle scent. She let out a small sound when the other vampire stepped closer...Then his hand was over hers, guiding to the horse’s nose. She hummed softly as she felt, tilting her head to the side. She smiled at how well trained the Arabian was. She let out a breath when he pulled away...then shook her head, combing through red hair gently. “Okay.” was all she said to his agreement to ride with her, and needing to get Zephyr’s saddle. She let him go, though watched as he did.

He made a small sound, almost a sigh, and nodded at her. He could almost call Akira his sister...but he wouldn’t, because they weren’t related. Well, maybe they were, second cousins or something. Shrugging to himself, he shook his head and returned his attention to them and the situation. “Make sure Aralynn is safe...” he whispered into her ear, sure no one would hear. He hummed softly, calmingly, hoping it had an effect on the stranger. “Ah, yes, I’ll help you.” he said, wandering over. He somehow managed to get Ronin up though, because Ronin was bigger, he was heavy so he had to lean on Akihito.

The blonde had been gingerly touching her arm tracing the wound. It wasn't really painful per say but did sting a bit at the touch, making the young women soft finger around it. Aralynn would need to handle the care of it herself, luckily it disnt seem too deep. Enough to blees but not cause concern outside of that itself. Trouble would be more like possible infection or something similar. Perhaps the teen could gather the energy for a trip to the palace gardwn for a peek at the herbs the chefs grew there. Then to the library. A few must have apothecary applications as well as seasoning food and Aralynn was a traditionally a quick study. The young monarch could learn how to treat this herself.

She was so distracted that her new company went unoticed until she spoke up. But by then it was too late to try and hide her arm. One moment she was alone and the next Akira was kneeling beside her. Aralynn's free hand quickly went to covering up the marks trying to hide them from her sister. Unfortunetly it was too late. By the time the teen realized she was no longer alone, the female heir was asking about the wound. The young women had to come up with an answer fast, something her mind wasn't fully up to. She was still trying to process everything that had just happened. "It's nothing. This is hardly definable as a wound so no need to worry yourself over it, it's a mere scratch is all. Harmless and common.", said Aralynn relaxing back against the cold stone wall again before a small smile pulled at her face. Akira was worried. There was no way that could be allowed. There was no reason her sister should stress herself over matters that she had no need to fret about. "I scraped my arm againat the stone of the palace."

Ronin felt his eyesight get blurrier and suddenly there was someone at his side. He soon found himself leaning on the stronger boy, who was definitely speaking, but Ronin couldn't make out a word.

Most of the bricks inside are quite smooth. It's the ones on the outside that are a bit more rugged, but even then, there's no way the guards would've let you of all people outside without an escort. They would sureley have noticed the injury. Besides,they don't look right either. They look more like an animal or something attacked you, rather then brick.''' With a worried frown she stood up, holding her hand out to her sister. " None the less, we need to get it disinfected at the apothecary. Then we have important matters to discuss...."
