Calypso saw, with surprise, Sky overcome the reluctance that seemed to prick at her when the question first came up. She briefly wondered whether she had actually wanted to share, or if it was a painful memory. The puzzlement was quickly driven away by mild surprise. The deputy of the hunters was once a member of the Safe Zone? Right now, that seemed practically impossible. The two groups seemed to loathe each other with a passion. She couldn't help but nod as the other girl mentioned how difficult a transition it was. She doubted it had been easy, and felt a little flicker of pity. Feeling immediate disgust and panic at that tiny flame of sympathy, she mentally stiffened and restricted the pitiful emotion from herself like oxygen to a flame. Only now, she wouldn't crumble without feelings. It was a harsh way of thinking, but this world was even harsher. More surprise came when Sky stated, rather confidently, that she would die for this group. She felt that strongly for people she barely knew? Callie wondered if she would ever feel that same way. Deciding to focus on another topic, she asked, "So how did you go from a Safe Zone member to the deputy of the hunters?"

Damion grinned rather eerily when he saw the shiver run down the man's spine. It was amusing that his mere staring had triggered a physical shiver. He tracked the stranger's arm as he drew an arrow, arching a brow at the action. Apparently he didn't have at gun after all. Perhaps he should have simply dispatched him when he first saw him. A white grin grew in the dark at the man's threat, and he allowed his knife to flash in the faint sunlight. He slowly stepped forward, feeling the scratchy tough if the leaves, fronds, and small branches. It's like they were begging him to return. The brunette scanned the opposing man, arching his brow again. "You don't seem like you're a hunter. Too isolated." He mused, tapping his chin as if in thought. He didn't let any anxiety or caution seep through his expression. It was like he had a block on, glue keeping a mask on. Nodding his head to gesture towards the quiver of arrows strapped on the man's back, he said, "Whatcha gonna do when you run out? Make some more?" Half of him was lazily curious while the other half was simply bored and wanted to make small talk. He did eye the arrow at him, however. He could recognize a threat when it stared him in the face, which, ironically, this was. He smiled dryly at the thought.

Noticing they were all settling on the floor, Morgan situated himself in a more comfortable position. After Elliot had taken a few blueberries, he picked at the fruit himself, sparingly eating them. "Be glad you don't." Morgan said in response to Leilani's question. "If you can stand living in that Safe Zone, relish it. Out here, you don't really have friends, just allies." As he spoke, he realized the loneliness behind his statement. Not that it was really a lie; if you had friends, they usually died or they got you killed.

"Maybe I know I can hold my own." Lupa countered when the man deemed to show himself. His fingers itched to let the arrow fly, but the man was still rambling on. The stranger was taunting him, he knew, but for some reason his fingers held still. "And besides, I don't need a full quiver to take you down; just one well placed one through the eye will do." No doubt, that was what the man wanted to hear. Nevertheless, Lupa raised his aim to where his sight was settled right on the stranger's face. Just shoot him! the logical part of his mind was screaming; he ignored it. This confrontation was probably going to cost him.

Rosaleen watched as Wren tossed the granola bars in the direction of the girl. She rummaged through her own bag and found the fruit that had been dried years before. Rose looked at Wren and nodded, agreeing that even though what they had wasn't much, it was something to live off on. She walked up to the girl and offered her the package of dried out fruit slices. "I suggest you get away from here with your dog before someone sees you and thinks of you as a threat. Many people around here do that." Her face was blank, nothing suggesting what she was thinking.

Arkady shook her head and sighed. "Stop messing with it before you get yourself even more stuck." She could tell the girl had no idea how to work with snares and traps based on how she was handling it. Her bow was still loaded but now raised, which was a good thing because once it was it rarely came back down before the arrow was flying. "Now you should get going before dark and before I change my mind about you." The stranger seemed not to be a threat, but she wasn't going to underestimate her. Arkady tended to act weak herself when she was in difficult situations before striking out. It worked like a charm.

Jordan looked over at Sage, he looked at her happily, wagging his tail. "Oh, Sage I bet you want to go on your walk, or as I like to call it, your daily adventure!" Jordan laughed as she said this to Sage. Sage barked. Jordan got up from the chair, rummaging through stuff, until she found Sage's fully black leash, she hooked it on Sage's black collar with spikes on it. They headed out the door and began walking around the safe zone. Jordan and Sage came across Sonia, "Good morning Sonia, how are you this fine morning?" Jordan said sweetly with a smile.

" eyesight is essential, if you want to take today to focus on finding glasses I'm fine with that, they shouldn't be much of a problem since they're not a first thing people take but you may struggle with the prescription." As a kid Tyler always feared loosing his eyesight due to his lifestyle, having such a limitation would have deffinatly slowed him down and made the task in hand much more problematic, so he understood the importance of eyesight these days. that slightly misdirected aim could be the death of a person. "I recommend you simply go scavenging, with a primary focus for glasses." he chose to not explain the plans for they were still a work in progress, and he had to bear in mind things like the meeting, something which Ryker did not need to be concerned about.

Bianka chuckled lightly at the girls excitement. for someone her age the walls weren't as much lifesaving as they were restraining so travels were common amongst the youth. Despite them having enough years to adapt to the new reality no one can truly get used to this, for this world was so dangerous and unpredictable, one move could be fatal. She was rather suprised by the hug but in a positive way. when the girl was off on her way she simply got back to the mundane work.

hearing her name she clicked out of her daze and looked towards the direction the voice came from. Seeing Jordan and her canine companion she smiled with a simple response of a "mornin!" she didn't really know the girl to say anything else. Sonia preferred to be nice to those she knew but at the same time keep a distance. in a world like this getting attached was the worst thing possible.

Just like that, each of them weren't fulfilling their assigned roles. that harsh reality was all left outside of those withered away doors. Leaning back slightly he looked towards the entrance blankly for a moment as he thought about this fact. He didn't want to leave, this felt like what he was looking for, peace. But this wasn't forever; the knowledge that as soon as he left those doors it would be back to the brutal life made him stressed on the inside. but that was a concern for later thankfully. looking towards leilani he spoke out "you deffinatly have it the best out of us. I mean our place isn't too bad, but after the attack we had to move and start all over... Man I'd do anything for electricity." He assumed that Morgan did not know about the attack just over a month ago, but if he wanted to know he could ask. He's never been in the safe zone so he didn't know exactly what was it like, but he knew from stories the other hunters would tell, or when they were making plans for attacks. the fact that they had water and some levels of electricity were out of his mind, so many years had passed living life without such luxuries they felt like myths now.

"Thank you, sir," Ryker said promptly before leaving the room. The man hadn't actually worn glasses before. At first, he felt as if he didn't need them. But as years wore on and Ryker spent more and more time reading in the dark, he realized that he had made a grave mistake. He couldn't see three feet in front of him without the world becoming a blur. This would most likely pose a problem, as Tyler may have mentioned. Eyesight is essential. Plus, Ryker was using a ranged weapon. It would have been a better choice to take a blunt object with him from his home, but the only thing he really had available was a crossbow. Xyrcans were archers. The neighbours knew that before they all... died.

Ryker sauntered down the hallways until he left the building. Scavenging was one thing he didn't hope to do alone. If Evren had stayed with him, there wouldn't be a problem. However, that man-child had scurried off elsewhere in the motel without any indication as to where he was headed. Ryker scratched his head as he kept walking on, but stopped in front of a group of people. "Are any of you free right now? I need to look for something and it'd be great if I didn't have to go alone."

Jordan let out sigh, not knowing who to ask if the SafeZone had any dog food, she looked towards Sage, "Sorry bud, let's head back, maybe I'll go look for dog food for you." She had told her dog, Jordan began walking back to her room, taking in all the fresh air and the breeze. As they were heading back to the room, Jordan began to wonder who should she socialize with, even though the SafeZone civilians didn't want to talk much, she wanted to make friendships with everyone. She had to admit she felt pretty lonely, even though she has Sage, her companion, it gets pretty lonely just talking to your dog all the time.
