aries walked over to the kitchen, where she grabbed an apple, then headed over to the cafeteria. she spotted lavender, and sat down next to the other girl. "hey, thanks for helping out with benji." aries took a bite of her apple, savoring it. "i probably shouldn't say this, but i'm just really tired of everyone today." suddenly she flinched, and her hand flew to her forehead. she massaged her temples, brow furrowed. she glanced at lavender, her face going red slightly. "sorry, sounds that normally wouldn't bother me seem to be really hurting today. probably because i overdid myself trying to find out where everyone went."

"didn't aries get you into the group? she welcomed you with open arms, didn't she? isn't she doing the same thing to him?" marley felt ezra's words cut deep. she almost seemed to deflate, and she felt her chest get heavier. suddenly it was a little harder to breathe. "...yeah. i guess you're right." marley's voice was small and almost sounded defeated. aries saved my life. "i'd almost forgotten about that..." the girl's eyes closed, and she bit her lip. "i can never repay aries for what she did for me, but i can never forgive her for what she did either."

indentation Benji looked at Nova in shock then laughed really hard, causing him pain but it was worth it. "You headbutted a wall?!" He wheezed out. The boy tried to picture it in his head, only causing him to laugh more. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. But I can just imagine the look on your face when the wall just suddenly appeared." He said while wiping the tears from his eyes. "I figured out my powers because I really wanted to see my old bedroom. I turned my own powers onto myself and I thought I really was home. I was stuck in that reality for three days, so don't feel bad." Benji admitted laughing a little. "I was thinking so hard about it, it happened. It was weird. When I finally came to, I was still in my tent back in my hometown and I had realized I passed out from exhaustion at that point but the reality never changed. It was weird." He spoke again recalling the events.

indentation Lavendar visably jumped when Aries spoke but quickly recoverd. "Hey! Don't worry about it! Its my job around her!" She stated with a smiled. "Want me to take away the pain? I've eaten and I was about to do the same to Benji." Lav asked looking at Aries. "It must be hard having super hearing in a compound with teenagers, I feel bad for Atlas too. You guys definitely have it bad." She sympathized with the other girl. At least when she took in others pain it was gone within a few hours to a day. Atlas and Aries had to deal with their mutatuions twenty-four seven. It made Lav apperciate her power a little bit more.

xxxxxxxxShe'd worry about what he collected later. Aurora was focused on picking up whatever she could right now. The painkillers would come in handy and now she found a roll of duct tape and a compass. The compass, however, was completely shattered and ultimately useless. She tossed it back onto the ground and started searching more thoroughly on the floor. Peering underneath displays, reaching her hands into crevices and cracks. She was so focused she had forgotten Atlas was even here.
xxxxxxxx"Anything is better then nothing." Aurora remarked as she picked up a pack of saltine crackers. The peace was disturbed when he mentioned liking the kiss. Her peace was, anyway, because now her emotions were back to being all over the place. She remained where she was, feet planted firmly on the ground, as she stuffed the crackers away. Aurora just needed to keep herself busy somehow. Sure enough when she turned the corner she butted heads with him. Falling back and rubbing her forehead she sighed, "I'm a wreck, I'm sorry."

She narrowed her eyes at him. She lightly pushed his arm so she wouldn't hurt him and she rolled her eyes and crossed her arms. "Jerk. It really hurt, it left a scar too." she said as she pushed back her hair, it wasn't big but you could definitely see it now that her hair was pushed back. "But I guess looking back at it, I guess it was pretty funny." she said as she removed her hand and crossed the arm back over her chest again. See his old room? she thought to herself, that must've been nice, she can't even remember the last time she had a place that she could call her own before here. Though maybe that was for the best. She pushed the thoughts away as she focused back on him "Three days, geez I'm surprised you didn't get found by the dead." She couldn't imagine what it would be like to be stuck in transit from one place to another during her teleportation. She doesn't even know how her teleportation works, where she goes when she disappears. "Honestly, that's pretty scary, I couldn't even imagine." She wondered how someone could be alone. For as long as he was, though she kind of understood like that, she never really felt like she fits in anywhere isnt that the same as being alone?

At this point he was picking up just about anything he saw and throwing it in his bag, at this point they could use anything they could get their hands on. He felt this swirling in his chest, did he say something wrong? She had gone silent, she seemed like she was right there but so far away. He shook his head, why should he care? They were just friends, he had no right to push. He kept his head down, he couldn't hear her thoughts, probably because she didn't want to share them so she was keeping her head clear. He sighed to himself and continued to get stuff before they bumped into each other. He reached out for her ignoring the slight pain in his head "Are you okay?" he asked. "No it was my fault I wasn't looking where I was going." he responded sheepishly. He lightly places a hand on her head near her hand that was on her foreheard already.

xxxxxxxx"I'm fine, are you alright?" She asked with her hand on her head still. When he outstretched his hand towards her, she contemplated taking it. Instead she left it where it was. She watched his hand move closer then and rest near her own hand. She leaned into his touch some and smiled, "I promise I'll be okay. Thank you." Aurora made another impulsive move and leaned in to kiss him on the lips. She couldn't help herself. Her hands cupped his face and she pulled away after a short while. Aurora would have held it longer were their lives not at stake. "Lets.. lets keeping looking," she mumbled as she stalked past him and kept digging. Some more snacks, some chord, a flashlight. That was about it though. She went ahead to the front and watched the door, waiting for him to join her.

ezra watched and took note of how his words effected marley. he was silent, staring her down with an expectant gaze until she finally spoke. he turned his body to face her completely. "has she done something wrong? something unforgivable?" he asked, tone and expression remaining free of any malice. the veil he had over his mind broke itself away over time, and he could feel exactly what she felt. marley's energy enveloped the room almost completely. it was all he could see - her and her color. it was dim, but it made the entire room glow. "can you help me understand?" ezra wanted to help... he wished he could help.

junnie heard the voice behind him grow quieter. he almost swore he heard his own name but he kept going. only did he skid to a halt when he heard a different name from the distance, one that was too familiar for him to have heard wrong. he whipped around, squinting at the figure and very cautiously making his way towards it. "st-storm?" junnie let out a squeak. he sounded so small in his own ears - he can't even remember the last time he used his voice. junnie could get a better look of storm now, confirming his suspicions. it was his brother, who he had been separated from so long ago. "where've you been? i-i thought you were dead..." junnie took a step closer, but was still hesitant. a part of him wanted to move the whole way, to just give in and fall into his brother's arms, but he held himself back. he really didn't know what to do with himself, the emotions that were hidden away for so long were resurfacing. so he kept to himself for now.

aries shook her head. "no, if you're going to take benji's pain you should have all your energy. i'll be fine." she put her forehead down on the table for a moment, breathing deeply. "can i confess something?" she lifted her head from the table, rubbing her eyes under her glasses. "i feel like i'm not fit to lead. there's so much to be done and everyone is depending on me. back when things were normal i was a class clown. now i've got twelve people to take care of, soon to be thirteen if everyone agrees to let benji join. plus i'll be twenty in less than a year. i'm not ready to become a zombie." aries put her head in her hands. "and i don't think marley will ever forgive me for what happened."

marley's eyes remained closed, unable to face ezra. "i wasn't alone when aries got me to join this group. i had a friend with me. he was nineteen. he didn't want to tell anyone, he was going to leave camp just before his twentieth birthday, and walk as far as he could so he would be nowhere near us when he turned. aries found out his age somehow and she told the leader at the time." marley took a shaky breath, trying to hold her composure. "he kicked out my friend for not telling the rest of the group his age. a scouting party found him the next day, dead. a group of zombies got to him." this time the tears spilled over. "i was on that scouting party. it was gruesome." she quickly wiped her face, sniffling.

Storm was so happy he got him, his brother, back! This was amazing he took in the hug and said, "Yes it's me Junnie I am alive I survived I have a camp that we can go to with some food and a bed if you want. But the thing I have to ask is how are you where did you go after what happened?" Storm was very curious and there was so much emotion, the adrenaline, the happiness, and even anxiousness was in him. If Junnie came back to the camp what would they think? They are already dealing with one stranger why another? But he had to focus on the situation at hand so Storm just waited for an answer and sat down. However, he had to sit down Storm still had a headache and still in pain from the walking and the running. Adrenaline helped but not that much so if a zombie came he wouldn't be that much of help. That was something he had to be worried about but even if he was hurting Storm would do anything to protect his brother.

indentation Benji just shrugged. "I mean it was scary but I've learned a lot from that experience. I know my limits, but today tested me too much. I shouldn't have tried to hid again. I'm sorry I freaked out. Marley just was too hostile for no reason." He spoke looking down at his hands. "So how does this camp..work? I guess. Like is there groups or?" He didn't know how to phrase what he was asking. The compound was a weird concept to him. He was confused how so mnay people can live together without chaos.

indentation Lavendar looked at Aries as she spoke, feeling nothing but sympathy for the leader. "Its a hard job Ari, I know you go through the worse of it. You've been doing what's best for us, I see it. Turning is the scariest part for all of us. I'll make sure you feel no pain while transitioning, okay? Nobody wants to turn, but we can't avoid it." Lav spoke softly, placing a hand on the girl's back soothingly. "You have a good system, the way we're grouped and we do our jobs. You can't help we have a few bad eggs, thats on them. Marley is too head-strong for her own good. She'll come around though. I promise."

when marley finished speaking, ezra nodded slowly, absorbing all of what she said, "i see..." he murmured. ezra looked away, staring off while thinking deeply. many things made sense now. he stared back at her, "do you think that maybe she's had to deal with that too ever since it happened?" ezra asked, "i'm not telling you to forgive her by any means, but the past is in the past. yes, maybe things would've been slightly different if aries hadn't done what she did, but she did what she did and what happened, happened." he then took marley's hand gently, "i know it hurts, but how you're treating it is preventing you from healing. you're so angry, and sad, with all the weight of that event on your shoulders. aries probably carries it too." his tone softened up as well as his gaze, "i think... it's time to let it go. not forget, not forgive, but move on." ezra took his hand to her cheek, wiping away a stray tear with his thumb.

junnie let himself be comforted by the hug, wrapping his own arms around his brother just as tight. "a camp?" junnie's body was buzzing with energy as his emotions were beginning to get the best of them. he was so happy, and it had been so long since he had made contact with another person. when storm moved to sit down, junnie flinched as he felt an electric shock briefly cross over his own body. he ignored it for the most part, containing the rest of what wanted to break loose. "i-i don't know where i went," junnie admitted, "i was scared, so i just ran away blindly from all the chaos." he snuck a glance around the area out of paranoia. "we shouldn't... shouldn't stay here. how far's your camp? is it just you there?"
