At the sound of a low grumble, Alder flinched away from Chiyoko, though her gaze fixed on Kenai. She still wasn't sure what exactly he was, other than irritatingly aggressive. She forced her feathers to lay flat, though a sharp glare glinted his way until he decided to leave. Alder settled down on her heels. "I don't know any creatures that use string, other than spiders." She hoped she wouldn't need hands to do it... Her gaze shifted towards the shelters of the sanctuary, and she pondered where she would be able to find firewood. First, she'd need to explore this unfamiliar territory.
