The thick accented voice came from Flame, who stood perched on the edge of a tower, a beam jutting out from the side of it.
Leaping from it, the skin on her back began to stretch, imprints of feathers pressing against it from within until it bulged and ripped, an ink-colored substance spraying from the wings that unfolded from her spine and instantly caught the Demon from the air.
Hovering momentarily as the skin on her back began to knit itself back together, blood lacing and stitching it shut, her wings dripped the acid-like liquid that pierced the ground and other areas of skin on the back of her legs and her thighs, burning through it, though it was eventually absorbed and healed over.

Griso/Shifter
I saw a demon flying off. I grew my own gray wings, my usual light mixed with shadows. I lifted off. I started to glide along aside her, but my shadows were failing so I shifted into a black swan. "Hi," I said, looking at the girl next to me. "What's your name?" I said, my voice slightly rougher than usual. "I'm Griso," I said.
