Rai//dragon-cloud elemental//18//manor guest//tags: open, Adelia
Raijin had just recently moved in to stay in the manor after having been turned away at apartment complexes and inns because of his strange features-namely, his hair. I wasn’t as if he could control the small bits of lightning it produced when he was hungry, after all. In any case, he hadn’t been there long but had already found himself sprawled out on the ground right where a bit of sun streamed in through the window in one of the house’s many hallways. He didn’t actually see any of the glances sent his way either, so he was mostly undisturbed until he started hearing the clinks of dishes being thrown together in the kitchen.
He sat up with a small yawn and dragged his fingers through his very fluffy but very tangled white hair. It was no use brushing it considering how wind seemed to constantly sift through it anyway, but he felt that he should at least give the half-hearted attempt to comb through it. It didn’t end up working, as always.
Rai blinked softly once he registered the figure of a girl-a maid? and sat up curiously, watching all the while as she snatched up an apple and started heading towards a room he had yet to explore. Shortly after she left his sight, he glanced around the room he was currently in and got up to follow her. The human-turned-dragon had his fun sliding on the smooth floors with his socks on until he accidentally slid into the wall as he tried to turn and enter the ballroom after Adelia.
“Whoa...” The late teen breathed upon finally entering the ballroom, unaware that following someone might have been seen as rude. Instead he got distracted by the shining chandeliers and peered up at them with a large grin on his face.

Carlos stopped after hearing that Irene was a gargoyle, looking back at her with shining eyes. “Whoa, you’re a gargoyle? Irene, that’s so cool!” The late teen couldn’t hide his excitement before he cleared his throat in an embarrassed fashion. “Uh, I mean, I’ve only ever read books about gargoyles, and it’s just really neat that I actually got the chance to meet one. Plus you seem like a very pleasant perso-er, gargoyle.” Carlos scratched his head, finding his sudden enthusiasm possibly unwelcome to the newcomer, and continued walking to the living room.
A sigh made its way out of his mouth at the mention of Irene being seen as an abomination. “That’s... unfortunate. Humans can be cruel based on unnecessary standards. Hell, it’s not just the mythical that get discriminated against, though they definitely have it worse. Oh, but not all of us are bad, and there are even some that work here. I hope you won’t feel uncomfortable because of that, since the ones I know are really friendly, including the head of the house.” All the talk about humans made Carlos self-consciously move a hand to his chest, where he felt the circular pattern carved deep into his torso. Even with all the books he had read, he still couldn’t figure out exactly what he was.
“Uh, anyway, sorry I kind of got off topic. This is the family room, though I don’t see anyone else right now. That actually a bit strange...” The boy stopped next to a couch, glancing back to Irene to watch her take the view in. “Actually, how about I take you on a tour of the place? You won’t know your way around unless you get lost at least once, but you’d get to see everything. Plus we might run into someone else along the way, hopefully one of the Stokers.”
