We're different (Shape- shifters rp open and accepting)

Skylar thought no one was around so she shifed back to her Human form. In her human form she had long chocolate brown hair with matching brown eyes and a teal tank top that fit tight on her body, skinny jeans, and grey converse. Skylar smiled at least I got to see one that close...I should draw it! she thought wishing she had her sketch pad on her because she loved to draw and paint, it was one of her only talents.

Ray had finally managed to calm himself enough that his breathing had returned to normal when he noticed the dog that had been at the bottom of his tree was now gone and a girl that couldn't be too much younger than himself had taken it's place. Caught off guard by this sudden change Ray hurriedly sat up and nearly fell out of the tree in the process. While scrabbling to regain his balance and stay in the tree Ray accidentally knocked his hat, which had been sitting snugly on his head; lose and before he could fix it without falling out of the tree the camouflage baseball cap slipped off his head and fell. Holding onto the branch he now wasn't falling off of Ray reached down tried to grab it before it fell out of reach but he wasn't quite fast enough, feeling his hat slip just under his fingers tips he watched it land on the ground near the girl with a quiet thud. "Horsefeathers" he whispered to himself as he righted himself on the tree limb while looking down at his fallen hat, knowing he'd have to climb down to retrieve it.

A soft thud was heard next to her and she jumped nearly a foot off the ground. "Jeez" she said with a sigh and looked at what had cause the noise and saw a hat. Skylar looked at the hat curiously, tilting her head as she looked at it (a habit from her animal form)...it came from above me... she thought and slowly looked up seeing a guy not much older than herself above her. She began to get panicky d-did he see me shift?! Is he h-human!? Oh no she thought "i-is t-this-" she paused and clears her throat to get rid of her panicy tone of voice "is this your hat?" She asked.

Ray hesitated, while he hadn't seen the dog shift into this girl it was the only thing that made sense to him as to why he didn't hear the dog leave or this girl approach. "It tis" he answered after a couple seconds, then paused for a few more seconds watching the stranger beneath him carefully. If this girl was a shifter and is the dog he'd run into by the brook it appeared to him that their roles had been reversed, but he wasn't sure if what he thought was true. "I'm sorry if I startled you" he said after a short moment starting to maneuver himself into a position so he could climb down the tree. "I'll be honest you snuck up me as well, actually surprised me so bad I nearly fell out of this tree" he confessed climbing down. Once on the ground Ray picked up his hat and dusted the small amount of dirt it had collected off before putting it back on.

"Its okay" she said with a smile and watched him climb down. Skukar gasped "oh I am sorry!" She said because she didn't want him hurting himself, whoever he was. "I didn't mean to scared you...out of the tree" she said scratching the back of her head nervously and smiled "my names Skylar" she said

"I'm Ray" he said with a smile introducing himself. "And its quite alright, today has just has not been my day I guess. I'm not usually so easy to sneak up on" he added before the sound of a bird rustling in a near by brush caught his attention as it took flight. Quickly Ray turned his head to look in the direction the sound had come from, still unnerved by his encounters with the dog by the brook and the one he had heard barking in the distance before it. He remained still for several seconds as he studied his surrounds, listening to the sound of the bird's flapping wings quickly fade away and for a sign that the bird wasn't the only thing in the area. After a moment he decided it hadn't been anything important and relaxed again. "Sorry, I'm a little jumpy today. Like I said it hasn't really been my day" he said, casting a quick glance in the direction of the brook.

"I-I don't know. It just happened. It never did that before," she said with a dazed expression. "Wait, what just happened?"

He hasn't brought it up so he must have not seen her shift...hopefully. Skylar also looked in the direction of the brook "the brook back there is quite beautiful" she said and remembered the deer she encountered not to long ago and her hands itched to draw it but she had no paper or anything to draw it. "Well I'm sorry" she said

Ray nodded as she spoke about the brook. "Don't be, you didn't do anything wrong" he said then hesitated, wanting to ask if she was a shifter like he suspected but unsure exactly how to without possibly offending her or letting on that he was a shifter if she wasn't. "Say... You wouldn't happen to be another shifter would you?" he asked after a moment, already prepared with a story about how he'd seen a shifter earlier that day and that he hadn't meant that he was a shifter himself encase it turned out she wasn't a shifter like he thought.

Oliver wandered through the forest, having given up on catching something to eat he now searched for an edible berry bush or other food plant he could identify. Steadily the large dog worked his way through the undergrowth, tongue lolling out of his mouth as he panted heavily from the distance he'd traveled in a single day. He stopped abruptly as he noticed the tangy smell of blackberries coming from somewhere near by and sniffed the air, examining the scent more closely. It didn't take him long before he'd located which direction the blackberry bush was and hurried toward it, finding himself in a large clearing where the several large blackberry bushes lay spread out over the tall grass. Shifting into a human Oliver carefully moved into the clearing sure it was full of thorny vines that were hidden under the grass and careful about possible bears that might be hanging around. Once he'd reached the nearest bush he began foraging the ripe berries that hung out around the outside side of the bush, getting the easy stuff first before attempting to harvest the berries from deeper in the bush.

Skylar stiffened, he must have seen her shift...dang it! What if he is human?? Then what would I do?? I'll run that's it if he is a human I'll bolt and shift if I have to she thought and she prepared herself to run if she needed to and worse case scenario , in her pit bull form she may be able to take him down if it was a life or death situation. "Uhhh...y-yeah I a-am" she said in a bit of a quieter tone and she shuddered a little because she was a bit panicky.
