A bright streak of blonde in my dark brown hair told the world that I was excited as heck to go back to school. My ferret, Wish, sat on my shoulder as I bounced on my toes, waving goodbye to my grandma, whom I stayed with in the weeks up to my return to Hogwarts because she knew of all this... She was the witch in my family. Turning around as her silver hair faded out of view, I dragged my trunk towards and into the train door with my wand in my teeth. I made my way to an empty carriage near the front of the train and walked inside, putting my trunk on the ground and taking my wand out of my teeth, casting a quick spell and lifting the heavy trunk onto the shelf just behind and above the seat. I sat down and leant up against the wall.

Tucking a lock of blonde hair behind my ear, I placed the last poster of the solar system on the wall beside my desk in my classroom. Standing back to admire my work, that pesky lock of hair fell out from behind my ear, but I left it there. With a sigh, I cracked my back and leant up against my wooden desk. A large, pale ginger shape bolted up to my leg and began rubbing up to them. "Hey Albie~" I cooed, bending down slightly to rub my cat in the middle of his head, making him purr instantly. I decided to take my other two cats to school this time, and Lu came tumbling in off the bookshelf with a squeal, and Jasper sat on my desk, grooming her face. I smiled faintly and continued rubbing Albus's head as he went flop on his side onto the floor.

As soon as I'm out of the great hall and out of sight, I bring my feet down so that I am once more walking and not flying. I don't really know why I'm a ghost, I didn't really know who to ask at first. I dare not ask the headmistress, because for some reason she despises me. And though she doesn't see me much, every time she does, she stares blankly at me, but I can sense the hatred in her eyes. Maybe it's because I was a Gryffindor, and she was a Slytherin. Maybe she supported The Dark lord, and doesn't appreciate the fact that I fought against him in the battle of Hogwarts, but whatever I did, it must be bad. But I did ask Professor Blackfeather. She told me, Wizards become ghosts if they are afraid of death. But I wasn't afraid, I was afraid that others would die, but I wasn't afraid of my own death. But I am afraid, of being forgotten, lost, abandoned. I also asked if I could leave the castle walls, the Professor told me that I am a ghost at Hogwarts, because I have, or wil have a deep connection with this place, and that I cannot leave. Not that I need to. And then, out of curiosity, I asked if ghosts could have friends, she said yes, then I asked, could ghosts ghosts find love? And she didn't answer,
I guess I am alone.
I walk through a few walls and find myself in an office, or staff room. But I can't tell which Proffesor it belongs to.
I look around, noticing a few astronomy posters of planets and stars.

I laid down on the floor next to Albus, looking him in the eyes and rubbing his belly. I laughed lightly, but didn't notice Shawn floating into the room. My hair was sprayed out behind me on the floor. Lu stared at the wall after standing up, and bared his teeth in a hiss at Shawn. "Hm? Lu? What's wro-" I stood up and froze, staring right at Shawn. It took a few seconds to register that there was a ghost in the room, but I smiled. "Hey there, I don't think I've seen you around? I'm Hailey Karl, Astronomy teacher. Can I help you?" I said, fixing up my hair by pulling it over my shoulder slightly.

I look around the room a bit more, all of the facts on the posters are familiar, since I learnt all of this so long ago, but my memory is fading slowly, and it makes me sad, the other day, I nearly forgot the names of one of my best friends, I remembered of course, but I had to make sure i didn't forget again. Somewhere in these walls, in the old room that used to have the mirror of erised in it, before it was moved strangely, I took a sharp object, and engraved a message for myself on the wall. I draw three stick figures, a name underneath each. 'Felix' 'Ken' and 'Cry'. My three friends. And above that, in larger letters, I etched, 'Never Forget'
Please Shawn, please don't forget.
I jump slightly as I hear a cat his and instantly duck for cover, hiding behind a book case. I peer out and see a Proffesor, the astronomy teacher, smile at me. I make myself slightly more transparent.
"Um... I... Well...," I fade slightly more.

I walk the halls looking for the head mistress, I saw her just earlier, then she disappeared. I was curious to where she went, and was also wondering when the children would arrive so I would know when to stop procrastinating to clean my office and the green houses.

Charlie's cat was absolutely adorable, it was so soft! 'I'm going to go get my brother to start packing his stuff up, we should be arriving soon.' I say, stepping out of our carriage.
I walk to the carriage next to us to find Will, staring out the window in a world of his own.
'I would suggest you change into your robes, I expect we will be arriving soon.' I say before walking back into our carriage.

Amber sighed stroked Skylar again. There was a sudden jolt and the train started to move. Great now only the rest of the day left. She pulled out a book, at random, and started reading.

I go slightly more transparent, making me look and feel more ghostly. My eyes dart around, looking from cat to cat. The cats don't seem to enjoy my presence, which makes me feel worse about myself, that I can't even make friends with animals without scaring them. Sam is an exception. He's dead too.
"Erm, I know you won't hurt me," I whisper, laughing nervously, "nothing can..." I move out from behind the book case slightly. "I'm not really alive..." I scratch the back of my neck and look at the floor. "I didn't think that anyone was in here, sorry..."

"It's okay, you can stay if you wish." I smile. Albus stands up and walks over to Shawn and tries to rub up against his legs, going straight through him. He lets out a meow and looks up at Shawn, extremely confused. I laugh lightly at Albus. "That's Albus, the red shecat is Jasper, and the grey and white kitten is Lu." I say quietly.
