Greyson Marquin
21 . Knight
Kitsune & Campbell
Wandering the Streets

Taking the offered apple, Greyson gently tossed it in the air and caught it easily. "Aw, pity. I was so looking for the freshest loaf of bread and some cheese." His eyes glanced up at her, a slight hopeful sparkle in his eye. "Say, you wouldn't happen to know where one could happen to buy the best cheese and bread in town, would you?"

Reaching in his pocket, he pulled out several coins. No more than a breath later, a small child darted through the crowd toward the cart. The young woman generously gave her an apple only to want a smile in return. When the young girl was gone, he handed over his change, enough was there to cover both his and the second apple.

Hunter Jones Finished up with his duties and walked towards the door, he would go into town for a bit. He was looking forward to the ball but not sure why, he didn't really like dancing or socialising but he thought it would be good to go to a place where no one knew who you were or what you did. He walked towards the stables, he would ride Majesty into town and look for a mask, he already had clothes but the mask would be the hard thing. He was probably looking for a gold or red one as that was the colours of his clothes. As he saddled Majesty up he wondered who he would meet at the ball and if he would dance with anyone.

Riding through the city he saw plenty of people in the streets, well there was more people visiting for the ball and everyone came at least a week before for the festivities. As he rode through town he came to a silk shop. Should he check in there? He sat pondering for a moment.

Ravyn Knightly "Um after you have talked to them would you like to go for a ride with me and Lady Sterling?" She asked nervously. "If you do we will be at the stables." She said turning around and walking back down the halls towards the stables.

The king saw the man enter. Turning around he looked at the doorman he sat up straighter. "Sir Charles Plantagnet." The doorman said. "Welcome Sir Charles." He said beckoning him forward.

SIR CHARLES PLANTAGNET
twenty :: lord :: in the courtyard

He would very much like to go on a ride with the two beautiful young women. Rising from his bow, the lord looked at the royal couple carefully. "I apologise for my tardiness, Your Graces. My carriage ran into trouble on the road and I had to ride," Charles felt the urge to tell them why he was so late. Most of the guests had already arrived for at least a week of festivities. "And so I beg your forgiveness. It is very kind of you to invite me." He wondered if they remembered him; surely his surname would jolt a memory? But they wouldn't speak of it, would they? Or maybe they would. His name had strong standing although he was never present at court. And he was hoping that he could charm Princess Ravyn. It would be a better political move for their only daughter to marry a prince of another kingdom, but he was just as wealthy.

Juliet

"Well this is just marvelous..." I muttered and continued to walk towards the entrance. I didn't know what to do. If I kept wandering about they might think I'm weird or something. I couldn't go inside just yet. It only looked like people of the upper classes were going in. I would probably be yelled at if I were to go and ask a noble where I could find all the others from my group. I stood there and tapped my foot.
I am like a brilliant red rose. So beautiful to look at that you just want to have it, but you do not see the thorns I have. I have the beauty of lady but the attitude of a caged tiger!

Cassidy Rae McCormick - 17 years old - Female - Commoner - Marketplace

As she stood up, Cassidy dusted her knees off a bit from the dusty, gravel road, and returned her attention to the man. "In fact, I think I do," she replied with a small smirk. It wasn't implied to him, but she found it a bit funny that he was asking. She figured that he must be from out of town, but she decided to pass on asking, since that could offend some people, and that's the last thing she needed was anyone suing her or bad talking the family name for revenge. They had just enough to get by as it was, and any loss in customers could mean less than that, and nobody would ever want to even look at, let alone love or marry someone with no money. "Would you mind if I showed you the way? I'm terrible with giving directions, and I'd hate for you to end up in a river by mistake."

Tera~ 20~ Foreign Lady~ Single~ riding back to the stables

"Ravyn, I will leave you to your ride. I'll see you at supper." I wanted to take care of Cecidit on my own, as I usually did back home. I went into the stable and bumped into Kross, who had been riding dressage in the ring. "Hello," I greeted him.

Greyson Marquin
21 . Knight
Kitsune & Campbell
With Cassidy

"Ah, but you see, the river is exactly where I plan to be. I'm rather good at figuring out rot directions so don't worry. But if you wish to show the way, Campbell and I will follow." The knight spoke lightly, he was feeling rather well about being out of the castle. All the while, the great hound had been contentedly sitting beside his master only occasionally distracted by the scents wafting through the crowds. Greyson pondered how the girl would keep her stand if she was to lead them through the streets. Maybe she had a second person with her, he mused though doubtful. The thought slipped quickly and in came the thought of how to spend the rest of the day, and the weeks to come for that matter.

Not being on the road was different for Greyson. While he had had a few stays at the castle previously, it had only been to see the King and Queen and for orders and honors. Now he was stationed on the grounds to attend the ball, a rather large occasion that had warranted the special orders. The knight knew that at some point he would visit home and should work on training everyday but all this luxury free time was something completely new.

The clear winter day was rather a nice one; bright and forgetting that it truly was winter now. Greyson wondered to how this winter would fair. And how much different it would be to enjoy a warm fire and being inside to camping outside and being closer to death through cold than he really wanted to count. He turned his attention the the farm child, waiting for her to set out as she prepared or did what had to be done.

Cassidy Ray McCormick - 17 years old - Female - Commoner - Marketplace

Turning to her horse, Cassidy asked, "Mind taking care of the stand for me? Just don't let anyone take anything." The mare turned a lazy head to her and wandered out from the shade over to her. To the normal person, it would only look as if the mare was nodding, but in the farm girl's mind, she heard a rich female voice reply, "Sure thing. Just don't be gone too long, and don't get into any trouble!" Cassidy smiled at stroked the long bridge of the mare's head before turning back to the man. "All right, right this way," she said, beginning to set off towards the bakery on the other side of town.

Everyone who lived the commoner's life knew that Old Man Reynolds was the best baker around, and he had fresh milk shipped in every day. If this man was looking for the best, she was sure gonna give it to him. Cassidy took a lot of pride in knowing everyone in town, and felt that the more business she could get them and the more credit, the better. As she walked the man towards the bakery, she tried to make some simple conversation, and what else was being talked about in town than the upcoming ball? "Are you going to the masquerade?" She asked casually, keeping her eyes straight ahead as to not trip over any one, thing, or it.

((Sorry, on a tablet, no fancy header :c
(and sorry if I don't reply quickly, I don't have writers block but I feel really, really unmotivated lately -3-) ))

Kross turned to see Tera, "Oh, hello." he replied with a warm smile. He removed Chance's tack and placed it back on its rack, "I assume you like horses, or you would not be here~"

Greyson Marquin
21 . Knight
Kitsune & Campbell
With Cassidy

For the first time in awhile, Greyson's mind was quiet as he followed the girl toward their destination. It was a moment before he answered her inquiry. "Oh, that. Yes, I was asked to attend along with it seems everyone else from far and wide." His voice carried some of his disdain for the ball, but he made the slightest attempt to keep it all in check, incase she preferred it. After he spoke, he realized that it was a bit harsh so concluded, "The leading festivities are a delight. All the entertainment and socializing they can muster. The food is marvelous."

Greyson remembered the entertainment from the previous years he had attended the winter festivities. Arts, theater, jesting and of course, jousting. He must prepare for that sport, and Kitsune was a fine courser to win on. Unfortunately, the knight hadn't been at the prior year's, for he was facing the winter on the march. It was also the same time he had suffered the deadly blow. A miracle, everyone said, that he was to survive it. Greyson wondered every time that he saw the long scar or felt the ache, if it truly was a blessing.

The aroma of pastries and yeast turned the knights feet. He no longer needed the assistance of the young maiden, as the smell pervaded the shop and the street before it. Within moments they appeared through the marketplace crowd and were upon the threshold.
