He gulped softly, something just had happened, he had... felt something, something he had never felt before. Was it...? No, he wasn't in love, he knew that pain love caused, and he wouldn't go through it again. But still something on her soft, beautiful gaze had made Jax shiver, he could feel a warmth coming from his heart. When their hands touched, he forced himself to get out of his trance. He followed Amour, slowly but alwasy keeping himself next to her. He was confused and cheered up at the same time. He tried to focus in the campers and the dangerous journey they would have to do in a few hours but Amour's face kept popping back into his mind, her turquoise eyes shining against his, he had to admitt it, he had felt something, like a connection but it didn't have to be love... right?

She sighed relieved "Oh my God you're OK" she said with a small smile "What just happened?" she asked softly, her voice slightly shaky as she was still afraid for Red. She patted Luna softly to calm her down, "It's OK girl" she said softly. Alex had never heard about shifters that could not control their changes, she thought all of them could change as they pleased "Why did you shift like that?" she asked confused as she glanced at the horses to make sure none of them had ran off.

She smiled softly "I would be more lucky if my boyfried wasn't trying to give me a heart attack" she said with a chuckle "3 times you almost die, I am not going to let you go anywhere alone, or even better, I am not going to let you go anywhere"

George Abbott
He groaned, today they had lost but he had recovered conciosness now, the attack hadn't been well organised, they would strike back and this time harder as he had a plan and that plan involved getting Amour back to work for thr Industry.

Ray's head shot up as he noticed something was near by and swiftly he turned his head to look at what had appeared. He froze as he spotted a large white and brown dog, alarmed by it's presence. His first thought was this was the animal he'd heard barking in the distance and his second was too flee, but he didn't. He'd underestimated dogs in the past and Ray knew if he ran it was sure to chase him. Unmoving he quickly studied the creature trying to estimate if he had a chance of escape if the dog pursed him, he thought there was as it didn't look like a fast hunting kind of dog but at the same time he didn't know much about dogs and didn't know if this one would be faster then it looked. Although if this was the dog he'd heard it must be a fast one to catch up with him so quickly. With growing concern about the dog who had been drinking from the brook and seemed overall uninterested in him, Ray remained frozen with his ears perked forward and body rigid waiting for the dog to make it's the next move.

Skylar felt eyes on her and she lifted her head up to look at the deer and she could clearly see the fear in its eyes but it wasn't running. Weird. Usually animals just ran away from her but this one wasn't...was it just afraid to run away? Her tail wagged as she looked at the deer curiously, tilting her head slightly as she inspected it, she has never seen a deer or at least this close and it was..cool.

Ray flinched as the dog looked at him, he was not enjoying this encounter one bit and wanted greatly to get away but fear held him in place. The dog had made no move toward him and hadn't acted in an threatening way yet but Ray worried any movement on his part could cause the dog's demeanor to drastically change. He knew little about dogs and how they reacted to things aside from what he'd personally experienced with them, which didn't make this situation any better for him. Without taking his eyes off the dog he searched the area in his peripheral vision for an escape route, perhaps if he could find a tree large enough with branches thick enough to bear his weight he could climb it and get out of reach. In his chest Ray could feel his heart racing and his body tremble slightly as he prepared himself to flee at the first sign the dog had changed it's mind about appearing non threatening.

Skylar looked around and then back at the deer, she wanted to get closer but also didn't want to scare it away so she lowered her head, which for a dog is a friendly gesture and took a slow step closer to the animal with her tail wagging softly trying to make herself look as harmless as possible but that was hard when she was a pit bull because oddlyshe looked 'tthreatening' to some people. She guessed it was unlikely that the animal was a shifter but there was a small chance but to small of a chance. She looked up at the deer her head still low.

Ray watched the dog closely, taking a small step back as it slowly moved forward. While it didn't appear to him that the dog meant any harm that didn't mean it wasn't dangerous, this dog was certainly big enough to serious damage and Ray didn't want to chance being attacked by it. Eying a possible escape route out of the corner of his eye Ray pondered his plan to flee but at the speed his thoughts were racing he was having trouble focusing on which near by trees were climbable. His frightened mind too distracted by the dog, the sound of his pulse pounding in his ears and the almost overwhelming urge to run for his life too think about much else. It never even crossed his mind that he might be looking at another shifter, too preoccupied with living his own personal nightmare too even consider that tiny possibility.

I don't like seeing this animal so...scared. I'll probably giv e it a heart attack she thought and let out a huff and laid down, giving the deer the opportunity to run if it wanted because it had a lot of fear in its eyes and she didn't purposely want to scare it but then again what did she expect. Skylar put her head between her large paws and looked up and the deer

Ray remained frozen for a handful of seconds after the dog laid down, too afraid of it coming after him should he run before a twig fell out of a tree near the brook and landed in the water somewhere down stream with a splash. Spooked by the sound Ray bolted, taking off back toward the way he'd come and away from the dog that had found him. He no longer thought which way would be the best to go only that it was a direction that lead away from the dog and away from danger. With long bounding strides Ray rushed back into the forest undergrowth, dodging trees either too small or with branches far too high too climb, and leaping over large bits of forest debris that were in his way. He didn't have to run too far before he spotted a large maple tree which he would be able to climb and hurried over to it, quickly shifting back into a human and climbing up onto a branch which was a good several feet off the ground and well out of reach of even the largest of dogs. Standing on the branch with one shaky hand on the tree's massive trunk and the other pressed tightly against his chest over his pounding heart Ray looked back in the direction he'd fled from, waiting to see the dog in hot pursuit. He hadn't run too terribly far but was already winded, he figured it was because he'd been so stressed before the run with the added long distance run just before the dog found him. When he didn't see the dog immediately behind him Ray sat down on the branch with his back against the tree's trunk trying to catch his breath and calm himself down, allowing himself to think that his sudden flight might of startled it and it hadn't pursed him.

Skylar watched the deer take off and she whimpered, it was always loney out here and she was tired of being alone all the time but she didn't really have a choice. She let out a huff and got up walking in the direction the deer went, not really going after it just walking where it went. If she went after it she would be running. After a little bit of walking she sat down with her tail curled around her paws and she shook her head to get rid of her thoughts and what she didn't know was there was someone in a tree above her...

Ray's heart nearly stopped when he spotted the dog again, and he held his breath as the animal casually walked up to his tree and sat down at the base. The dog didn't seem aware of his presence and after a few moments Ray slowly released his held breath, it didn't appear to be looking for him and even if it was it couldn't get him up here. Now that he was safe high up in a tree and out of the creature's reach he wasn't as unnerved by the dog's presence, it couldn't harm him now. Still trying to catch his breath from the run and earlier encounter on the ground Ray tried to ignore the canine below, telling himself that it couldn't get him as long as he was in the tree. Trying to focus on ceasing his quiet panting and calming himself down Ray looked up at the higher branches of the tree, examining the limbs and many leaves that covered them.
