✗ I hugged my dad, looking up at him with one of my toothy grins. I laughed softly, going and hugging my mom before turning to step up beside my brother. With a soft sigh, I stared at the fields of the place that I would reside for now. I felt my brother wrap an arm around my shoulder, and I looked up at him. "Promise me something brother? That nothing will tear us apart, we will always be there for each other?" The thought of what happens after we enter the academy has been running through my head since the day we got the letters, now the thought terrifies me more than anything had before. I can't lose my brother, not now. After we lived together for so long, and now that we have our own lives ahead of us. I need my brother now more than I ever needed him before because although I can protect myself, I still need him to protect me.

✗ I looked back at my parents, smiling softly and turning around. Facing the huge fields of Redwood Summer Camp, where me and my sister would finally find people like us. I heard her sigh from beside me, and I wrapped an arm around my sister's shoulder comfortingly. I stared out at the rolling hills, hearing my sister speak from beside me. "Don't worry Ash, I'll be right here beside you. Forever." I said softly, feeling her tense up beside me. Giving her a sideways hug, I turned to look at the encouraging yet sad faces of my parents. Nodding softly in an unspoken agreement towards my dad, I stepped forward alongside my sister. Into a world that we don't entirely know, but a world that we fit into all the same.
