He slowly lowered his hand, a little startled by her reaction. Had she not realised he'd been deliberately over-dramatic? Atlas couldn't help but roll his eyes a bit, but did quickly attempt to reassure her. "I was joking, Splashy. I'm not really mad." he said, adding in a playful nickname, since he didn't actually know the siren's name - he figured she must be in the year below him. "Don't worry about it." Atlas touched a hand to his face, slightly warm from where he'd been struck, but he knew it would fade within the hour - he did take quite a lot of pride in his appearance, immaculate hair, even when in the water, a sharp jawline, and clean, shiny scales and arm fins in his siren form.

After she unpacked, Amara left her room, and went off to explore the school. Even though this was her third year, she always liked to spend time at the start, to go around the school and refamiliarise herself with the place. It meant that she wouldn't be cooping herself up in her room, and maybe she'd get the chance to use a little magic... nothing serious, of course, just some fun before classes were meant to start in a few days. Amara hummed as she went down the hallway, wondering where she should start.

Eventually, Ryder did leave the tree he'd hidden up in. He tucked his sketchbook firmly in a hole that had been made in the tree years ago, before he'd even started attending the school, so that it would stay hidden, then he jumped down, landing lightly on his feet. Sticking to the shadows, even though he didn't really need to because no one else had been around anyway, Ryder moved towards the doors, and went inside.
Then, Ryder walked down towards the music area, and pushing the door open to one of the rooms. Perhaps one of the very few things he liked about attending... was the music classes. He played the violin, and had been learning since he was eight. Finding his violin in the room, which he'd left over the summer, he took it carefully out of its case, tuned the strings for a few minutes, before starting to play it.

Lyra had arrived at the Grand Ballroom, standing just outside the doorway as she heard the commotion that was going on. She was a little surprised by the slight argument that was happening, and couldn't help but be intrigued and listen in. "... Yikes. Good start to the year, huh?" she commented, brushing her hair over one shoulder, watching as the small group of students sped down the hallway. She followed, not able to keep up, but just able to faintly hear the talking, being a Werewolf with enhanced senses.
