Serena giggled at Kaleb's reply. "That's not what I meant, KC." she said with a small chuckle. "But you sure are a sweet gentleman." she added, kissing his cheek softly. "Or well, you're one to me." The princess hugged her prince gently, happy Kaleb had broken his word and the stupid deal. It was nice to be in his presence. Kaleb understood her, more than any of her siblings did.

"All that's happened since your disappearance was Alexander going berserk and the dismissal of everyone from a spoiled dinner. Unless she and Ferston are dealing with Alexander, I've no idea where else to find them. I've heard from most of the town people's gossip that such offenses are dealt with trials and inquisitions. He might have been sent to one of the towers. There are only four that are not under construction. The first one is this way." Tristan led his younger brother pass two dark corridors. It must have been around midnight, but the prince was not exactly sure.

The prince smiled at his fiance and pulled her up from the chair. From what he could see from the windows, it was nearly black outside, the stars bright. "I believe it's past your bedtime, m'lady. Shall I escort you to your rooms?" A little devilish voice in the back of his mind told him that maybe she could stay a bit longer, but the rest of him knew that he wouldn't be able to control himself if she stayed any longer.

Serena nodded quietly in reply, even though she didn't feel like leaving him yet. "That would be nice." she replied softly as she looked at the stars. She moved her gaze and bit her lip as she saw her face in a mirror. She carefully touched her bruised cheek before she brushed some hair into her face, lifting up her dark blue hood again to cover her face in the shadows of it.

He kissed her on the cheek before leading her out of his rooms, their hands entwined. "You look fine, Rena," he assured his fiance as she self-consiously hid her face. He led her down the halls, one arm wrapped around her waist, soothingly massaging her. "Don't worry about your bruise. You're beautiful as ever and your wedding day will be perfect, okay? Come out from under that hood." He softly pushed her navy hood and gave her a reassuring smile.

Serena smiled slightly as he massaged her softly. She looked down as he pulled her navy hood off. "It's embarrassing." she simply spoke, trying to put her hood back up. "Now I can't appear into public for the next days." she added softly as she walked with KC.

Fey gratefully took the tray from her, the delicious scents of fresh, hot breakfast filling the air. He smiled, "Thank you very much Miss Grace, and I do have one more favor to ask you," He said, pausing to think. Fey desperately wanted to ask the young maid to have breakfast with him, but he didn't want to make her feel awkward, considering everything that had happened previously. Plus, she seemed to be needed around the kitchens and was probably already busy working. Deciding that it didn't really matter, Fey asked Maria anyways, "Would you care to have breakfast with me in the East Courtyard?"

"Um, Well.." The maid stuttered uncomfortably. Maria hadn't done any of her chores and was terribly conflicted. She knew it wouldn't be a good decision to upset Feyhladren but if somebody realized she had been slacking off she could get in huge trouble. Maria bit her lip and blushed a little. "I suppose I could spare a few more minutes." She said with an uncertain smile

Kaelyn wandered through the halls of the magnificent castle, she felt tiny compared to the grand architecture. The compact bundle of clothes the maid had given her was being hugged tightly against her chest, mostly to avoid the few who were curious. Her search for a quick place to get changed was not very successful, she had stumbled upon many others who also were getting changed, bringing a deep rose to her cheeks.
After of what felt like an eternity, Kaelyn stopped mid-way down the hall and darted into an unlit room, the ajar door only providing a sliver of light in the shadows. She slowly closed the door and peeled the damp clothes off herself with much difficulty. The soup dried into the clothes had made them gone stiff, also drying on a few unwanted vegetables too. With her face crinkled in disgust, she tossed them away, not really caring about where they went. Kaelyn was obviously not going to be able to save her clothes from their current state.
The newer clothes felt soft and brought immediate warmth to her skin, they were far better than what she usually was given to wear She sighed in relief, all the stress from today was building up inside of her as she wandered through the kingdom. Kaelyn wasn't really prepared of what would face her if she returned to the kitchens, she decided maybe she deserved a day off for the remainder of day. The thought made a small smile play along her lips.
