With the aroma of coffee wafting through the air, Don remained at ease as his gaze flickered amongst the others he had met only recently, acknowledging them with a mere glance. Of course he knew them by name, his memory was as good as ever but none particularly caught his fancy. Truly he didn’t give any of them a chance to catch his attention before arriving at the fairgrounds. His mind was simply set on one goal when he met them so actually getting to know the others was not much of a priority for him.
It was the ones he didn’t know that captured his attention and, with that, his curiosity. His Amber gaze settled on the one who spoke to him. “One mocha latte with almond milk” Don replied after letting his eyes skim over the barista, carefully judging their attire and posture. “If you even have that as an option” he added as he stepped closer to the bar. His tone was dull and it was clear he didn’t think too highly of this establishment.
With the choice of sitting near Ember or Ezra, he was quick to choose Ezra. The sight of the glitter was a major red flag of annoyance so he slipped himself into a seat closer to Ezra.
