Tags: Onyx, Arys --> open (weapons table) -----Atlanta wasn't surprised as another trainee interjected into the conversation. She loved Onyx's enthusiasm, and their ideas were admittedly brilliant. The commander crossed her arms over her broad chest and chuckled fondly.
-----"You want to start a trend?" She said, tilting her head at the rabbit-eared hat.
"I'm sure we'll run into a clothes market on our way back. You can buy some ears with a share of the money I confiscate from the traitors. Maybe even buy a few pairs for them, too. When they answer to Senegal for treason, she'll take pity on them for being mad like the Hatter."-----This kid was a genius, and Atlanta didn't mean it sarcastically. She suspected they were the brains behind all the kids' prank operations. Despite this, she still raised an eyebrow as they selected those gigantic shoes and moon-walked away. Atlanta had personally never tried that brand - did they
actually give that much lift or was Onyx exaggerating?
-----Shaking her head, she turned back to Arys and gave her a good-natured pat on the back.
"Sounds great, pupper. Ah, you can also wear a wig with the hat as insurance."-----It would be interesting if Arys wore a hat with ears attached, and a regular wig to hide her
actual ears underneath. That would guard against nosy Fivanians who wanted to take a look for themselves. Some of them had no sense of personal space, and were almost as bad as Twodorians, who hugged the living daylights out of strangers.
-----"I'll leave you to your own devices now, but I'll be over at the weapons if you need me. Let me know, alright?" Atlanta smiled before heading to the other table. Deadly sharp weapons needed to be supervised a little more than a table of silly clothes. When she got there, Jennifer had already taken her bow and left to practice. Atlanta smiled at the sight. Ah, a girl and her weapon... truly one of the most beautiful of relationships.

Tags: Jen --> Atlanta, Leo -----Lanette was relieved when her roommate didn't burn the dress to ashes. She seemed to tolerate it, although of course her attention was on the weapons. Jen was a talented archer and Lanette smiled proudly as she retrieved her newfound bow.
-----Now for her own outfit. A few others had come and gone from the table, and Lanette decided to watch and learn. After a minute or two, she felt ready to dive into the depths of Fivanian fashion. It was a perfect opportunity to try out a completely new style, so she selected some bright blue pants with spatter patterns of what could only be described as 'angrily hot pink'. A row of spikes lined the outside of the pant legs, flaring out dramatically at the hips. The spikes were also tipped in the same blinding pink. It appeared the designer wanted to make some intimidating bloody get-up, but forgot what color blood was supposed to be.
-----To match, she plucked out a purple top that looked like a failed pinata. Her skinny arms would ruin the whole 'bloody Fivanian gangster' look, so she decided to cover those with a jacket. An enormous, oversized pink jacket with white wing-like appendages flaring off her shoulders. On the back was a decal of a man's hand sticking his pinky finger up, the nonverbal way to tell someone off in Delran.
-----She headed into the empty hallway to change, and once she returned, she was strutting her stuff. She wondered if her friends even recognized this steel-clad punk as she marched up to the weapons table. As soon as she met Atlanta's eye, she could tell her commander was fighting hard not to laugh.
-----"Hand over your weapons, punk." Lanette tried to sound intimidating, but her voice didn't fit. She giggled and decided she was best off playing the strong silent type. Atlanta seemed to agree, as she was shaking her head and smiling ear to ear.
-----She picked up the sword Ardai was admiring earlier, but immediately realized it was too heavy to wield effectively. The much lighter spear was also much longer - too much. Onyx had already taken a nice set of twin daggers, but they were probably fitted for them rather than for
her, so her weapon soulmate was still somewhere around. The problem was that Lanette considered herself a jack of all trades, master of none. So which one was hers?
-----The commander seemed to tell she was struggling, and tapped her on the shoulder.
"Try this one out." She gestured to a small knife, sized perfectly for Lanette's tiny hands. It was essentially a weaponized version of a gardening knife, and Lanette couldn't help smiling. She was more talented in the underground greenhouses than in actual combat, and Atlanta knew.
-----"Thank you," Lanette said and gave her commander a big hug, careful not to accidentally spike her with the gangster pants. She took the weapon in her hand, and as her small fingers closed around the handle, she realized it was indeed made just for her. It felt weightless.
-----"Don't thank me. There's few things more precious than the moment a soldier finds her perfect weapon," Atlanta chuckled and patted her on the back.
"You've changed already, so there's plenty of time to practice. Go have fun!"-----Lanette nodded, wearing a wide smile before waving goodbye to Atlanta. She approached Leo as soon as he seemed free.
-----"Hey, punk." She said with the 'attitude', then dropped it and laughed.
"New look, hmm? I was wondering if we could do a little training once you're ready. I want to see if I can fight in these clothes, and honestly I'm excited to try my knife. If you're alright with it, could I practice against your mirage?"████【➹】████Ardai FairchildMale ➹ Heterosexual ➹ Invisibility
Tags: Riley, Onyx, Arys -----Once Ardai straightened back up, his jaw dropped because Riley was still a teeny bit taller than him. This was just cheating.
"Man, I'm outta here. Only coming back when I beat your blonde butt in the height department!" He announced before turning tail and strutting away. He looked like some demented ostrich.
-----A loud "Boo!" startled the dude out of his wits, and he nearly did the splits as he fell.
"Aw, get out of here! Pick on someone your own size!" Ardai put his pinky finger up at Onyx, but he was laughing too hard to sound actually angry.
-----As he staggered to his feet with as much grace as a de-hoofed horse, someone else called for him. It was Arys, offering fashion advice
and to be twins. That was an offer he couldn't resist.
"Do you even need to ask, beautiful? I call dibs on that one! I'll kick Riley's butt sky-high, literally!" Ardai pointed to the phoenix-tail looking hat (which would definitely put him taller than Riley) as he clunked over. He was not taking off these heels - he needed some practice.
-----He nearly fell into the table as he approached. Catching himself, he came face-to-face with a gorgeous tangerine hoop skirt. Ardai stepped into it right away, then twirled around... well, more like a spinning waddle.
"You sure you wanna wear pants? This thing is great! We should wear skirts more often."████【❁】████Sonata ThornwoodFemale ❁ Pansexual ❁ Botanokinesis
Tags: caleb aah. help me -----"Oh, phew... thank you! I w-wasn't sure, but if you say so..." Sonata was visibly relieved when Caleb approved of her outfit choice, although her mind immediately wandered to what his words could mean. She tried to push her overthinking aside and focus on surviving this conversation without looking like a cooked lobster the entire time.
-----She quickly failed that mission. When he offered to let her hold onto his his arm, she froze completely. Sonata was at a loss for words - or any dignified reaction, period. She flushed red and attempted to hide behind the dress, to no avail. Her prayers for a second superpower to surface and teleport her a hundred miles away also went unanswered.
-----What was she
supposed to do in this situation? Her instincts were screaming to drop this whole mission, run out of the training center, and go hide in her room. But she couldn't do that. She was a soldier, a member of the Phoenix Squad, so she had to confront her fears. The ever-present dull sting on her forehead reminded her of that. So, Sonata decided to woman up and do what seemed impossible: speak. If she could even get one word out, she would consider it a success.
-----"Uhhh, okay!" There it was, a great start. She peeked out from behind the dress, gaining a bit of confidence after that first word was out of the way.
"I d-don't mind, and umm... the collar? I mean I actually love it! It's soft and I kind of want to touch it but that would be awkward?"-----Oh. Oh, no.
-----Did I just agree to hold his arm and say I want to touch his collar? What is wrong with me! Sonata thought, wishing life had an 'undo' button she could press right now. What if he hates me! My stars, facing Emperor Brungard would be so much easier than this mess.
