Serena remained silent for a few moments, needing time to register what Maria asked her. She soon looked at Maria and gave a small nod. "A bath would be wonderful, Maria." she replied softly. The princess studied her hands for a second. "I already apologize if I say mean things to you. I am clearly not myself today, and don't want you to be offended by any words I don't think through before speaking them aloud."

Tristan cringed at the thought of the brotherhood. Total silence, no swordplay allowed, days full of books and reading. "I wouldn't dare tell. And of course I shall see that Serena gets back to Elyadon safely." He sighed. I'm having problems of my own as well. Aria continues to see herself as a complete rebel, along with her whole ensemble. Have you seen the clothing she wears? Breeches. Breeches! As if she wants to show the whole wide world how capable she is on her own. She will never have a chance of finding a husband. Not after the way she acts the day after her brother's death. And my dear mother, she's hardly herself. Now all she can do is smile weakly and pretend to notice you. I haven't even picked up the courage to speak with my father yet.." He looked off into the depths of the garden, startled when a someone cleared their throat from behind the princes.

Kaleb frowned as Tristan spoke, trying to weigh the other prince's problems against is own. It seemed to him that Tristan's issues far outweighed his own. It was his fault for making that deal with Serena, but it was too late to back out of it now. And he couldn't control Alexander. Jumping at the sudden sound, the prince twisted around to catch sight of his personal servant, Hensley. "Dear God, Hensley. You mustn't creep up on a prince like that so. Almost gave me a heart attack. What is it?" The elderly man suppressed a grin, and circled around the bench until he stood facing the two princes. He gave a quick bow to both of them, then cleared his throat once more.

"Dinner is in less than two hours. In that time, you two are to be dressed and ready for public. Your fathers are announcing the new proposal tonight." KC nodded in response, standing. Tristan stood as well, and the servant turned to him. I shall send a servant to your chambers to help you get ready. Along with the suitable mourning attire." Tristan nodded stiffly, and followed KC back into the palace.

"Don't mind Hensley. As frank as he is, he does his job right and he's basically the male version of my nursemaid." he said with a grin. Tristan smiled back, the thought of his own servant, Bromton, popped into his mind.

Remmington was in his room, checking over his garments quickly before dinner started. As was the occasion, he wore dark colored clothing. He thought that he looked quite fine wearing black slacks, poslished black shoes, and a ruffled navy blue shirt. Perhaps I should add something more. He wondered, looking at himself in a mirror.

The "protectors" are servants loyal to the kings. Their job is to protect the royal subjects.

Cassia Morsa Zeed (nun/protector) has rescued Prince Nick from a rogue, but he is captured once again by the same man.

Princess Aria and stable-boy, Patch, had just been attacked by several rogues. They escaped.

Prince Alex and maid, Crystal, are spending time together, location unknown?

Maid, Maria, is helping Princess Serena get ready for dinner.

Prince Kaleb and Prince Tristan are preparing for dinner.

Knight Tyler Black is open.

Jaytage's characters (eldest Avalon princess' maid, Elyadon knight, and eldest Avalon prince) are open as well.

Dinner is in two hours.

All the princesses and princes must return to their chambers and prepare themselves so that they are decent enough for the public.

Dress code is formal.

Please keep in mind that the princes and princesses are in mourning. This means preferably dark clothing.

The kingdom does not yet know of the tragedy, nor the edited treaty. These will both be announced to the public after dinner.

Patch smiled at the baker as he listened to Arabella, he considered her idea. "Well yeah I am trained, but a royal groomer?" he sighed. As the horses turned he smirked "Lets do it" he chuckled. He gave her a mischievous look "I'll race ya" he grinned, unhooking the horses.

"Let's," she smiled and pushed her mare into a fast canter, speeding back towards the castle. She laughed and looked back at him, making sure he was following, then urged the bay on faster. She raced past shops and carts, weaving in between pedestrians and children, jumping over a fallen wooden plank off of a cart. Soon the castle gates loomed in front of them and Arabella slowed her mare to a walk. "Patch, will you really come and be my groom?" she asked a bit in disbelief. "You don't have to if you don't want to leave your home, I understand."

Personality: “Is that necessary?”|| Ethan is rather quiet when compared to most men his age. He will not go out of his way to start a conversation with someone most of the time, and is rather intimidated when other people try and pull him into conversation as well. Before moving into the city to fulfill his dream of being a knight, he’d never really been around many other people besides the members of his immediate family, and even once he joined the order of knights he still almost felt like the odd-man out. Not that he minded. On the contrary, he enjoys leading a rather solitary existence, though sometimes he does wish that he was able to break out of his shell more.
History: “It’s nothing too interesting. I think it’s rather normal, at least.”||Ethan was born on a village near Avalon’s border with Elyadon. It was a tiny farming community in which everyone knew everyone else, but even so the residences were so spread out that they rarely interacted. Ethan spent his childhood days working in the fields with the livestock on his family’s farm, particularly liking the horses. His parents taught he and his younger sister how to read, and Ethan was fascinated by the stories of the knights that defended their kingdom against the kingdom of Elyadon. From that moment forward, he dreamt of knighthood. His parents told him that he would be able to do it if he set his mind to it, but at the same time, they knew that the likelihood that he would ever make it that far was slim. He was needed to help with the farm, but that didn’t stop him from dreaming. One day during Ethan’s adolescence, tragedy struck. In a raid by a group of bandits, their small cottage caught fire, and although Ethan made it out, neither his parents nor his sister were able to make it out of the flames. Ethan was devastated, and made his way northward towards the large cities, hoping that he would find refuge there. When he arrived, he was accepted into apprenticeship to a knight, and from that day forward he vowed to protect the country that he loved. So far he has excelled in his duties, but he hasn’t moved up in the ranks, though he hasn’t exactly desired to either.

Personality: ”Now is that really all that important?”||Sly, cunning, and with a sharp tongue, Bird is the kind of girl who does as she pleases and doesn’t care about what most other people think about her. She plays the sweet little innocent girl when stealing from those who she deems “more fortunate” than she, but is rather cold and will kill you as soon as look at you. She is quick on her feet, which gave her the name of Bird due to her seemingly effortless movement, and her wit is just as quick. She is quite the charmer when she wants to be, but she is not to be underestimated. When she doesn’t feel like resorting to illegitimate means to earn money, she performs vocally. She has an ephermeral beautiful voice, again solidifying her nickname. She admires people who are able to play instruments, but her numerous attempts to learn have all ended in her trying to break the instrument or storming away in a cloud of impatience. She tries to portray a “tough girl” exterior, and her wild and free spirit strengthens that façade, but there are times, especially when cornered, that she becomes weak and almost a hindrance or hazard to anyone around her.
History: “I’ve lived as a gypsy my whole life. I don’t know anything different.”||Bird does not know who her father is. As a matter of fact, no one does except for her mother, though that does not do much good for her. It seemed as if one day her mother had suddenly disappeared, saying strange things about some man she had met and about how her life had turned around, only to return several months later, bedraggled and far along in a pregnancy. Shortly thereafter, Bird was born, and her mother vowed that she would raise her tiny albino daughter away from the pain that cities had caused her. Bird had a relatively quiet childhood, being taught her mother how to earn money without actually having a job. At around age 9, Bird realized that she had an aptitude for sneaking around, and was told by her mother that if she truly desired it, she was probably good enough to earn a place in the courts in espionage, but Bird could not imagine life without her mother. She did not want her freedom taken away from her, so she turned her talents into a career as a thief, and was able to bring more wealth to her pockets that way. She never spent much time making friends, always focusing on ways to disguise her strange appearance and become more effective at what she did, but she has never doubted that life in the city was not for her. Shortly after she turned 16, her mother disappeared. Bird found a note by her bedside saying that now that Bird was old enough to take care of herself, she had left to return to Bird’s father in the city. Bird was outraged, and since then has never wanted anything to do with her family.
