How did you get to Eskovia? Born here or nearby? Magic or hijinks?
Velathraxia Meran was born Marida Keren, the daughter of a Sekeni noble. From birth, she was trained to assume her family's mantle, and almost equally from birth she hasn't cared about it at all. She prefered to spend her days sneaking out of the family estate and brawling with the lowborn children, a pastime that her parents thoroughly disapproved of. Eventually, she decided enough was enough and ran away, putting her skills to use as a wandering sword for hire. Eskovia is simply the latest stop on her journey, one she hopes will be free of the posters asking for her return.

Personality traits: Meran is, above all things, confident. Incredibly, unshakably, dangerously confident. She's completely convinced that she'll succeed in anything she tries, regardless of how improbable it may seem, or how dangerous it might be for her or those around her. Her other defining characteristic is a deep hatred of being tied down. By duty, by family, or by anything else, if it gets in the way of her doing what she likes she doesn't need it.

Other goals/Ambitions/ fun facts: When Meran ran away, she left a fake note saying she'd been kidnapped, to throw her family off her trail. They're still searching for her, offering a reward for any information leading to her return.
