Gordon Rumsey | 25 | Male | Chef | Kitchen | Tags: Fitzroy, Hendrick
When Fitzroy finally revealed himself, Gordon looked over and briefly considered getting out a butcher's knife, but decided that he should probably not go that direction straightaway. "Ah-ha! There you are, you food thief! Did you really think I wouldn't notice food going missing? Now how should I deal with you? Should I perhaps turn you into a soup? Or maybe cook you like a fish? Or maybe, we can use you as fish food, I'm sure the sharks in these waters must get VERY hungry. I'll let you decide your fate." He hears the door open and briefly turns to see Hendrick standing there. "Ah, Hendrick! You've arrived just as I caught the culprit behind all that missing food. Although I must ask, why aren't you waiting in the Dining Room? You don't think I would have injured myself while cooking, do you?" He then turns back to Fitzroy. "But let's get back to business... what'll it be, thief?"

Velathraxia Meran||26||Female||Shipwright||Deck->Kitchen||Tagged: Fitzroy, Hendrick, Gordon
    Meran responded to Esca's greeting with a grunt, suddenly very aware that she'd been up all night. She could feel her eyes struggling to stay open, she needed that coffee desperately. With a herculean effort, she made it down the deck, into the galley, where she was greeted by a sight that she quite frankly wasn't awake enough for. Apparently, they'd picked up a stowaway, who had been helping himself to their stores. Honestly it was probably for the best, the amount of provisions they'd been outfitted with bordered on the absurd, but at the same time she didn't take kindly to some random scurrying around her ship uninvited. She was about to ask Gordon if he needed help ousting the intruder, but the words died in her throat as she realized that this particular intruder looked rather familiar.

    "I know you," the Dragonborn said, searching her memory to figure out exactly where she knew him from. Most of the ruling houses knew each other to some degree, but it had been a while since she'd run in those circles. Not to mention that she'd have preferred to forget she ran in them at all. "Nightingale, right? What's a soft-skinned lordling like you doing stowing away?" Her memory of her fellow nobles was hazy, and the sleep wasn't helping, but she remembered House Nightingale as being more into things like dance and music, and definitely not into the rough, strenuous seafaring life.

Unnamed-21-Male-Stowaway-Entering kitchen- Tagged:Fitzroy, Hendrick, Gordon, Velathraxia-
He'd calmly walk by the kitchen door opening it carefully. He was sure it was probably a safe time to go, even though he had no sense of time as he mostly slept. He walked through the door seeing the three and stumbled on his feet a bit shifting for the door. he slightly muttered cuss words under his breath as they had already noticed him. Ways to get out of the situation filled his mind but he just stood there frozen his pupils thin.

(Sorry bout the short paragraph but I don't really have much to write about yet. They'll get longer.)

    Octavia Fowler
    27 | Female| First Mate
    Location: Room -> Deck
    - - - - - - - -

    Octavia B lined over to Esca with her arms crossed behind her back. "Captain." She greeted with a curt nod. Despite her stoic face she appreciated Esca's chipper attitude. Whenever there was a time he wasn't like himself, was a time to be worried. Octavia took a glance around the deck. Unlike their former wooden ship, the steamboat didn't need someone on the main deck to hoist any sails or carefully listen for orders to keep it operating smoothly. More often than not if there was anything that needed to be maintained it was below. Perhaps old habits died hard but Octavia saw that at least one person was on the main deck, especially when the captain was at the helm.

    She felt the ground underneath her move forward slightly, as she looked back to Esca. "Shall I check in with Rumsey?"

    Hendrick Goblin
    26 | Male | Medic
    Location: Room -> Personal quarters
    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

    Hendrick was by no means enthused by the next several events that happened in the kitchen. There was a funny pointy eared stranger that probably already ate his breakfast, there was Meran who knew the pointy eared stranger who probably ate her breakfast, and as he was trying to turn around and leave the kitchen, there was a white haired stranger in the door who Hendrick definitely had no sense of humor for.

    At this point the goblin make a few inaudible screechy words ("all I wanted was food" and "breakfast" could be heard) and ran out. There was a small voice in his head that told him he should probably make a report to the Captain, but there was a larger voice in his head that was angry and hungry. He listened to the larger voice and went inside his room to sulk.

    Travis Redwood
    21 | Male | Crew Member
    Location: Room -> Heading to kitchen
    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

    Travis heard some commotion outside of the dining room. He got up to see Hendrick storming away from the kitchen.. what was going on? He started walking towards the commotion, listening carefully.

Esca Riptide
25|Male|The Captain
Location: Deck
Tagged: Octavia
"Octavia." Esca responded, warmly. He quite liked being called Captain, although he had tried to insist previously that the crew need not do so - they were all friends, after all, especially Octavia. Anyway, he was very much looking forward to what was waiting for them in the near future. Sure, he was a little nervous, but it would not do to worry the rest of the crew. Not matter who they were.

"That would be great, if you don't mind. I can normally smell breakfast being cooked by now, even out here, with the sea breeze. Perhaps I'll go as well, to check everything's alright." Esca agreed. He had no doubts that whatever might be up was nothing too difficult for the chef to handle, but he knew that particular members of the crew - Hendrick - liked to have meals on time and promptly. He did not need anyone to be grouchy today!
"I've set The Prosperity on course, we should arrive by midday. I'll switch over to take the wheel manually when we get closer, just in case things get rough. Should be okay on its own for now, though."

Fitzroy Nightingale
23|Male|Stowaway
Location: Kitchen
Tagged: Gordon, Hendrick,
Meran, Unnamed
Even though the chef was human, Fitzroy was disturbed by him. The only thing missing was a knife. And the options were quite horrifying - his expression turned to make that very clear. But what really infuriated him was the utter disrespect from the human. Regardless of the chef's accolades, if his father knew the way he'd been spoken to, the chef would never cook again!
"Do you have any idea who I am? Such primeval solutions, my magic would surely top anything you have-" he was cut off when Meran entered the kitchen as well, and then someone else who definitely didn't look part of the crew hovered in the doorway.

Quite thankfully, Meran recognised him. But she didn't seem particularly pleased. Or perhaps she was tired. Fitzroy huffed. "Well, hello to you as well." he said, stalling for a few more moments before he replied to her question. Okay, so he wasn't expecting a celebration for his presence, but not vitriol. "If you have to know, I figured I just had to see this Whispering Sea thing for myself. I hardly believe the stories are quite as drastic as told." Fitz explained, "I just had to remain undiscovered onboard until it's too late to turn around and make me stay back."
How hard could being onboard a ship be, he thought. And even if there was a storm, ships were designed to withstand them now, weren't they?
"I don't know who that is, though." Fitzroy added, gesturing to the unknown figure in the doorway, looking as though he wasn't expecting anyone to be in the kitchen.

Unamed-21-Male-Stowaway-infront of doordoor-

He slightly flicked his ears. "Well, guess I was gonna get cought soon enough. But what's whispering what- a-what?" His eyes narrowed. "On second thought I think I'll just leave, go back to the hole in that captain of yours room." He thought for a minute. " Wait why is there a hole in that room-" he started rambling to himself, he then caught himself.

    As much as Meran wanted to simply toss the lordling over the side and be done with it, he was unfortunately too valuable to ditch. Nightingale wasn't a house she respected very much, but it was still a house, one that wouldn't take kindly to the drowning of its progeny. For better or worse (and it was definitely worse), they were stuck with him.

    Of course, there was now the matter of the other stowaway. Who had decided that now was a good time to make himself known. Wonderful

    Meran was tired, hungry, and generally not willing to deal with any of this right now. A massive scaly hand wrapped around Fitzroy's wrist, and a second grabbed the other stowaway by the forearm. "We'll let the captain decide what to do with you two. Gordon, if there's still some coffee left I'd greatly appreciate it when I get back." turning on her heel, the Dragonborn marched out of the galley, practically dragging the unfortunate stowaways behind her.

Gordon Rumsey | 25 | Male | Chef | Kitchen | Tags: Fitzroy, Unnamed, Meran
It had seemed like an instant when all these people had entered the kitchen. He wasn't too pleased, especially considering the circumstances but he figured it was no time to get angry. At least, not yet. "No, thief, I have no clue who you are." He listened to Meran speak. "Nightingale? I hardly doubt that someone from such a fancy high status place would stowaway on board a ship like this. He must be some sort of fake or something like that... So you wanted to see the Whispering Sea? Then why wouldn't you just ask the almighty high council of whatever to let you on board a ship that ventures out here? Surely someone with such status would have no trouble being allowed onto a ship without needing to resort to stowing away..." When Fitzroy mentions the unknown figure, he turns around. "Another one? Really?" He sighed, and let Meran take the stowaways away. "Yes, do take them to the captain's quarters. And alright, I'll get to making coffee with your breakfast. And tell the others that the food is on it's way. I've got a job to do." He finally gets to making breakfast for everyone, wondering just what cruel and unusual punishment the captain would think of for these stowaways. And was that Fitzroy guy really part of a high class society? Not that it mattered much to him. The moment he had a chance to feed the stowaways to the sharks, or perhaps the rumoured sea monster that lived deep in the Whispering Sea he would be right on it. Then again, he didn't really want to risk any punishment of any kind from the council, but he was sure Fitzroy would soon forget about what he said before they got back home, especially if the Whispering Sea contained many supposed wonders and treasures for him to look at. Or, they would be sunk and it wouldn't matter either way. Only time would tell.

Unamed-21-Male-Stowaway-dragged out of kitchen- Meran, Fitzroy, Gordon, and anyone else in earshot (ig)

He stumbled on his feet as the large creature grabbed him letting it drag him behind them not fighting back much. He knew if he wanted he could run off at any time and hide somewhere else. "So...now what?"

( Would type more but don't have time right now.)

" You couldn't hide somewhere normal? Like the treasury?" Fitzroy asked the unnamed stowaway, raising an eyebrow. Goodness, he couldn't imagine hiding away in a hole in someone's room.
He let out an offended gasp towards Gordon. "Fake? How dare you, sir!" his voice went up an octave, bringing it back down after he cleared his throat. He so wished to be able to teach that human a lesson, for saying such a thing about him, but did not want to make things worse for himself. He did, however, explain himself.
"If I asked to come along, my request would have been rejected. My father is particularly protective of me. Besides, how hard can being on a boat be? Especially a steamboat like this one." Fitzroy said. Okay, in hindsight, there were perhaps much better ways he could have done this, but it was too late now.

He was not expecting Meran to grab hold of him, though, and drag him out of the room. "Wh- hey! Unhand me!" Fitzroy demanded, struggling a little, but being unable to wrestle out of Meran's grip.

A shift in the sea. Vivian can sense, even from this distance, that something will be arriving by midday. Another ship for her to play with, and another crew to be silenced.
