Emma sat in her room staring out a window, it appeared to be a nice day today, and she thought of going for a walk. Though the thought quickly left her mind when she thought of accidentally running into someone while on her last walk, she did not want a repeat of that incident, and decided it would be best to stay in the castle. She moved silently away from the window and left her room, heading for the kitchen area.
Mairon Gorthaur//Human//In the castle//Tags:... He shyly walked around the castle. His family had sent him to this Queendom to try to get in the higher royalties and to get another kingdom to be their allie, but they both, him and his father, knew that none of the Princesses, nevermind the queen, would chose such a mere and lowly human as a groom. He sighed, hands in him pockets, and turned to look at Pina, who was perched on his shoulder. He sighed and in a little whisper he took his hand out of his pocket and pet his Draco-lizard with one finger under the chin, saying, "Pina... What am I going to do..?"
Pina//Draco-Lizard//Tags: Whoever is with Mairon She 'smiled and gave him a little (purr) noise that gave Mairon a comforting feeling. Mairon seemed to smile at the sweet noise and that made Pina happy, and so they walked on, looking around the castle and familiarizing themselves with their surroundings, yet not with the people who lived in it, for they were not that type of people.
Mei Ignotus//Blessed//Just walking around//Queen's Guard//Tags:...Emma She walked around the outsirts of the castle, bow strapped to her chest and quite a few animals that she had killed during the hunt. She dragged the fresh-kill into the kitchen and turned to leave when she saw, well, ran into, Emma. "Oh! I'm sorry ma'am! I didn0t see you there!"
Prince Eliyejah DiCaprio prince | twenty-six years | neutral | trying to win everness's hand ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eliyejah spurred his horse on, he was almost to the castle. The queen of this kingdom or rather queendom, he had learned, only four days ago, was deathly ill. His father had jumped at the opportunity for him, his only heir, to try to win the hand of the princess of Areontis. Her name, Everness. She was stepping into her mothers place as Queen until her mother died or she married. So here he was, surrounded by his guards, making his way to the castle. An invitation had been sent out by the princess herself to invite four princes of the surrounding kingdoms to form an alliance with her own. One that would also grant marriage. He wasn't sure as to weather or not he was ready for this, but at twenty-six, he didn't have much time to wait on finding a princess. He needed to marry soon. Very soon.
Emma wasn't paying attention to her surroundings when she was bumped into, and this caused her to fall backwards. She landed rather hard and her face showed the expression of pain. Slowly standing back up, she brushed her dress off and nodded to the girl who had bumped into her, and then proceeded to her destination, a small board in the kitchen that she used to order food, seeings as she couldn't actually ask the cooks for food when she got hungry.
MERINA GRACE Princess ≡ 19 ≡ Single ≡ Human ≡ Tags-NA
Merina ran her tortoiseshell comb through her loose hair, gazing absentmindedly at herself in the mirror of her vanity. She had overheard two of her chambermaids exchanging tidbits about the princes arriving today. Though she honestly thought nothing of these foreign people, she wanted to use this as an excuse to dress up. The dress she had had prepared was made of fine silk the deepest red, allowed only to those of royal descent, with flashy silver trimmings. For the barest moment she had noticed the maid who had pulled it out of her chest glance at it longingly, and Merina was sorry for her, but knew she couldn't do anything for the poor girl.
With a final pat, Maud stepped back for a moment to admire her handiwork. She felt the need to put some real effort into it this time around, but her ever meticulous eyes caught how the sheet was off by an inch, and the tiniest wrinkles, which were nonexistent to others, were prodigious to her. She let out a tired sigh and righted the sheet and smoothed the folds as it would have been had she actually used her gift. Maud turned and grabbed up a towel from her basket and some fresh rose water, setting both in the bathing chamber adjoined to the room. With nothing left for her to do here, she abandoned the room, picking up the basket on her way out.
JOACH ARRINGTON Noble ≡ 51 ≡ Single ≡ Human ≡ Tags-NA
Sunlight filtered through the lone window, which was small and cast little light into the room. Even with the warmth of stoked logs in the hearth, Joach was chilled to his bones. He thought maybe a long walk through the woods would sooth his aching, cold body, so he stood from his chair, yanked his ermine fur coat on, and put the dwindling fire out. As he opened and stepped through the door connected to a larger hall, he was assaulted by a freezing draft. Shivering slightly, Joach hurried, wanting to escape the confines of this frigid castle.
RICHARD ALVEY Knight ≡ Rich ≡ 24 ≡ Single ≡ Human ≡ Tags-NA
A dull thunk reached Richard's ears as his sword struck true to it's target. The dummy had endured quite a beating from this session, and preexisting slashes showed it had gone through as much many a time before. A thin sheen of sweat covered his face and arms. When he had arrived at the arena a few hours ago, it had long been deserted. No plans for future events had been made for the sake of making provisions for the newly arriving princes. Richard found the whole matter to be rather depressing, considering the reason behind it was that Areontis couldn't defend itself from the imminent threat of the other Kingdoms. To distance himself from those facts, he drenched himself in this mind-numbing physical work.
Mei Ignotus//Blessed//Just walking around//Queen's Guard//Tags:...Emma Her soul flew out of her eyes when she realized she had just bumped into a princess. And not only that, she had to go with the other Queen's guard! She was the commander, she couldn't break laws like this! Once the life came back to her, she practically supersped to where all the other Queen's Guard was, hoping they wouldn0t notice that she hadn't been there. If they did, she was dead.
The Acting Queen and Princess wanders around her mighty castle aimlessly, her silky blue dress flows around her lightly as if she was wading through water. Everness sighs a little as she walks, her ever-burdened mind spinning with many different things, some small like what she will wear to dinner and some bigger such as which Prince she will marry, but all were starting to give her a headache. She slows in her leisurely walking and decides to head outside, her few guards trailing behind her like they normally do and Siren padding along at her side. The Draco-Lizard has been with her for nearly two years now and Everness has loved every second of it, the young Lizard was her most trusted friend and loyal protector. She absentmindedly brushes a hand along the side of Siren's neck as she walks, careful to not poke herself on the many spikes that lined the Lizard's head and down to her tail which was dragging against the grass.
Everness nods to a few servants who were milling about the courtyard that was lain out between the castle and the stable, an seemingly endless stretch of grass and flower bushes. She pauses by a few of the bushes to smell the lovely fragrance, the uplifting scents lighten her mood for the moment as she continues on her way towards her little haven, the horse stables. Everness couldn't help but smile a bit when a few birds burst from the nearby tree and flutter around over head, making a fuss over a worm that one had captured. She watches the birds as she keeps walking, not really paying much attention to her surroundings since it was her guards' job to keep an eye on everyone in the area. Due to her lack of attention, she doesn't notice when Mei slips into the group of Guards behind her, she hadn't even noticed that the young Commander was even gone.
The young Draco-Lizard walks along side her owner and best friend, Everness, her golden eyes flicking around as the wind moves a bush and a bird flies by, such tiny movements were hard for a predator like herself to ignore. Siren keeps her wings tucked to her sides as she walks, not really wanting to fly at the moment since walking calmly with Everness was a rare event these days. She knows that her owner was stressed, her emotions roll off her in waves and Siren was very atune with her owner's emotions enough so that they were almost her own, and being stressed wasn't something that she really liked so she tries to calm Everness by walking and her company which seems to work sometimes.
Siren gives a deep purring sound when Everness brushes a hand on the side of her neck, the contact was soothing and helps to reinforce the bonds the two seem to share. The Lizard huffs a deep sigh and returns to her gazing, not really sure what she was really looking for or if she was actually looking for something at all. She spots Mei when the Guard rejoins the group and gives a soft snort, she may only be a Lizard, but she wasn't stupid, she knows that the Guard was there to protect Everness and the absences of one of the members was almost infuriating since it means the Guard wasn't at its full strength to protect the person she loves with all her heart. Siren turns and gives Mei a rather angry look before snorting once more and facing forward again to continue her walking.
The guard walks a yards back from the Acting Queen, giving her some personal space while also guarding her from any potential threats or dangers. She was wearing her usual attire, a full-body suit of leathery armor with the hood pulled up along with a kind of cape that falls past the back of her knees, it was almost something a thief or assassin would wear which fits her since she does take the occasional assassination mission for the royal family whenever there is someone that is seen as a threat. Many of the ladies in the royal courts frown upon her lack of a proper dress, but none have the guts to speak their mind to even the Acting Queen much less her in person. What is even more disturbing to the nobles and commoners alike is the fact that her face is covered so that only her haunting blood-red ruby colored eyes were showing from deep within the depths of her hood.
Pepper keeps pace with the rest of the Queen's Guard, but she lags behind a little at the back to sweep her chilling red gaze around the area to make sure the rest of the Guard hadn't missed anything. Most of the time her lagging is seen as a lack of interest in protecting the Acting Queen, but it was all an act that has proven credible since some think she wasn't paying attention and try to slip by her while she in fact was watching and is able to catch them easily. Pepper keeps one hand on the handle of her long sword that was attached to her side, it was longer than her arm and others who dare pick it up say it is quite heavy, but to her it is as light as a feather, a razor-sharp feather that is. As she walks behind the rest of the Guard, her keen sight was quick to catch the return of Mei, the Guard's so-called Commander. Pepper never did like having someone besides the royal family ranked above her, but she wasn't interested in the responsibilities a Commander takes on so she had kept quiet when the other Guard took the rank for themselves. The red-eyed killer makes a soft sound, almost a scoff, which was the only outward sign that she had noticed Mei's return.
The rather handsome Knight was in the Blacksmith's stall getting a piece of his armor mended when his sensitive ears picks up the familiar thudding and grunting coming from the practice area. Marcus nods to the Blacksmith in thanks as he retrieves his newly mended armor and quickly drops it off in his chambers before heading over to the practice area to see who it was that was practicing. He keeps a hand on his finely crafted broad sword's handle as he enters the area, the hard packed dirt and mangled straw-stuffed dummies were clear indications as to what the place was used for. The Knight walks farther into the area and spots a relatively new face hacking away at one of the dummies that was still tied to one of the many posts. It took him a moment to place the new face, he wasn't very good with names, but he does recognize Richard since the fellow Knight was the same age as himself.
Marcus watches the other Knight for a moment, checking out his footwork and stance when he swings his sword, his power of fighting points out a few flaws in the other man's movements, but they were easy fixes. Marc heads closer after his few moments of spectating and calls over to Richard, keeping a few yards between them in case he surprises the other man and he lashes out in reflex, "Keep your elbow tucked a bit more, it will put more power behind your swing. You also shouldn't twist your waist so much, it will only lead to a bad back later on." Marcus is careful to keep his tone light and friendly so he doesn't sound like he was criticizing the other Knight, he was only trying to help and it was hard to keep his mouth shut when others have bad posture due to his fighting power.
Prince Eliyejah DiCaprio prince | twenty-six years | neutral | trying to win everness's hand ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eliyejah was quickly surrounded by his quards. Two at the front of the group, with two on either side and one more following behind him. He sighed, he was used to this kind of thing now-a-days. They had finally reached the castle and were nearing the stabled. People were busy getting Things ready for the princes to arive. He assumed he was the first there, being from the closest kingdom. No one would assume that he would be here so early. But alas he was here. The earlier the better as his father would say. He called ahead to his guards, dismissing them. They retreated back a few lengths, but stayed close, watching him. He approached the stable and dismounted. He was about to enter the stable, when a crowd of people, looking to be guards came around the corner. At the head was the princess. He froze. She must have known he was coming. She didnt seem to notice or recognize him. Granted they had only met three times when they were young, the last time, they met, she was only six. He was homing for the angle of surprise. For her to know the real him before him as the prince.
There were lots of people today and not just the normal people. I had seen their big ships arrive early in the morning and they fascinated me. I wanted to meet the people who had got off the ships but Shannon was asleep and didn't like me going places without her. I contented myself just watching the people move about the city when there was a man rode past on a horse. It was a very pretty animal and although I knew I was being bad I followed the man on the horse and his friends (his gaurds) up towards the castle stables. He got off his horse and watched as the princess passed. I then ran up to the man past his friends, who didn't see me because they were so tall, and pulled lightly on his trousers. "Excuse me?" I asked politely. "Did you come here on one of those big ships?"
Shannon
I woke up later than normal, probably because Briar had decided to let me sleep rather than waking me. "Morning Briar," I called as I rolled over to see that the girl wasn't there. "For god sake," I scowled as I sat up and rubbed my eyes, "Can she stay in the one place for 5 minutes." I threw off the thin blanket I had been sleeping under and got up. I didn't bother sorting my hair or straightening my clothes and started climbing down the side of the building and ran through the streets. She had probably seen a squirrel or something run into the trees so I started running in that direction. "Briar!" I shouted, "Briar! Where are you?" I nearly ran into an old man with long hair. "Sorry," I apologized, "Have you seen a young girl about yay height," I indicated Briar's rough height with my hand, "Blonde hair, incredible blue eyes?" I must have sounded crazy or irresponsible. It wasn't my fault the girl couldn't stay in the one place for any amount of time unless you gave her your constant attention!
True that he's no prince charming, but there's something in him that I simply didn't see.
