Duke is very tempered, that's the best way to describe him. He has this big ego about him whereas he is fairly bossy and pushy. He may be a gelding, but he doesn't get along with anyone, which is why he is always separate from other horses, animals, and small children. He used to be unapproachable but ever since he was gelded, that factor has toned down a bit- although I would still be cautious. From the outside and through watching his shows, he appears to be a little sweet natured gelding, but that is far from the case. He is definitely a wolf in sheep's clothing.
