Constant Vigilance (Semi-Realistic Wolf/Literate) Open

Slowly being driven out of their homes by the humans, the wolves are being forced to retreat into the deciduous forests of the mountains. Two packs, Valion and Sentinel, have begun to form and they have been struggling with each other for food, living space, and pack members. The alphas must decide the best form of action to take whether that is pup stealing, direct attacks, and slave taking, or peaceful approach. On top of things, a disease caught by the human’s dogs has begun to spread among the wolves and primarily affecting the pups. Will one pack be forced out while the other dominates? Which pack is strong enough to win? Are you in that pack?

Alpha: The top male in the pack. He usually makes the decisions. He eats first and does not usually enforce his orders himself. His muzzle is also the darkest and his tail is raised the highest.
Alphess: The top female usually teaches the other wolves how to hunt. She buries a piece of animal and when it is time to hunt she will dig it up and have the hunters chase her, mimicking the way the animal runs in order to teach them.
Beta: Both betas are responsible for carrying out the alpha’s orders. They are usually more vicious than the alphas and many of the pack members respect them the most.
Hunters: Hunters are the smallest and quickest of the wolves, usually female. It is nearly impossible for a hunter to take down anything larger than a rabbit alone and even more difficult for them to drag it back to the camp alone.
Omega: The omega is the scapegoat. He or she has the sole purpose of breaking up fights and easing the tension in the pack. They are highly crucial to the pack and often get some of the best pieces of meat from the prey.
Caregiver: The caregiver is the wolf selected by the expectant pregnant wolf to be the primary caregiver for the wolves. Although the whole pack is responsible for raising the pups, the chosen wolf is the primary.
Pups: Pups respect the elders and must submit to them. The only place where they have any higher ranks is among each other.
Fighter: Not technically a rank, but we will include it for convenience. The fighters protect the pack and are first in line for any battles or attacks that may happen. They also drive off large predators or anything that threatens the pups.

Camp:
A small clearing at the base of a cliff. The Valion wolves have made dens among the fallen rocks.
Hunting Area:
The deep forest contains many animals such as moose, deer, rabbits, and birds. Many of the wolves prefer to stay in the protection of the forest rather than venturing out in the open fields.
Water Source:
A short walk from camp a small waterfall feeds into a clear pool perfect for drinking or swimming

Camp:
A large gulley provides protection and homes for the Sentinals. Many have dug dens in the edges of the slopes.
Hunting Area:
Although they also hunt in the forest, the Sentinals prefer to hunt further down the gulley that leads into a field at the base of the mountain, home to many creatures including deer, rabbits, birds, moose, and goats.
Water Source:
While the Sentinals live along the walls of the gulley, a small stream runs along the bottom, pooling in several places to provide ample drink and room for swimming.

Personality:
Normally grumpy and a bit independent, Viron doesn’t always make friends easily. But that is okay, seeing how he doesn’t really want to. Although he normally stays quiet and to himself he can be rude or crude if he is bothered enough. However non-romantic his attitude is, he is a quick learner and loves to try new things.
Viron also is highly loyal to the alphas and the rest of the pack, willing to put his life on the line in a heartbeat if called to do so. Viron has a hard time getting along with wolves that act extremely young for their age or are young, so it is usually best for pups and juveniles to keep away from him. Preparing for battle and executing attacks has always been his strong point and it is sometimes difficult to get him to relax and let his guard down.

Delta is kind and very friendly. She really enjoys interacting with other wolves and having fun whenever it presents itself. She is occasionally a bit of a social butterfly and it is usually hard not to get along fine with her. Delta is usually fairly calm, even in the nastiest situations, or at least appears to be. She tries to understand things from all sides of the story and attempts not to judge too quickly.
Sometimes, when attempting to get her way, she will downplay her strength and assume the role of the weak and submissive female to amuse herself or to get along better with another wolf. Because of this she sometimes doubts her abilities and will occasionally make a mistake that will end up hurting more than just her. Sometimes others doubt her abilities as well and will make the mistake of underestimating her during times she is needed and she usually only then will get frustrated and occasionally snap.
When not messing around, Delta usually prefers to think and figure out problems in her head. Instead of reacting with instinct, she likes to think things out and try to solve them with more than just teeth and claws.

The she wolf doesn't like arrogance or braggarts. Akiva also dislikes wolves who don't listen to all sides of a story.
Personality:
Akiva never likes to be that involved- preferring to watch from the sidelines and make her own speculations. She also lacks motivation and, if allowed, would sleep or explore the forest all day. For someone so absent-minded she is still intelligent and likes anything challenging.
Body Type:
The dark she-wolf is abnormally small, which makes her fighting capabilities incredibly low. She is fast, but prefers to stalk instead of giving chase when hunting.

Personality:
Aeolus is a somewhat cautious though rather intellectual wolf who tends to get lost in his thoughts from time to time. However, he loves to be around other wolves and will regularly seek out company, especially among the younger wolves whom he thinks he might be able to teach something. He is very submissive, though not overtly frightened of everyone and everything. Aeolus is more likely to be friendly than not, but never assertive. He is very curious and anything new will fascinate him.

Body Type:
Aeolus is tall and thin, which makes him a great runner. His size is somewhat deceptive though, his height making him look like he weighs more than he does. Though lean and muscular, he is quite weak when push comes to shove and does not have the strength to back up his height.

From her birth, Dima was "top dog" of her litter. She often forced her littermates to submit to her before allowing them to eat. She even snapped and snarled at her parents, chasing them from their own meals. Once she was old enough, Dima killed her mother and took the role of Alpha female. A few days later, her father was killed in a border dispute.

Fierce and protective, Dima bows down to no one. She's a good hunter, although these past few months have left her thinner than usual. She will not hesitate to attack when her position is challenged, and during fights for her position, she is vicious and often deadly. If the other female does not back down, she will try to kill her. Aries is extremely affectionate with pups, but only if they are her own. She will try to kill other pups if she feels her territory wont sustain them.

Athletic and slim, not the strongest.
Strengths:
Dima is usually very intelligent, often seeming to think things through rather than act on instinct. She plans out hunts very successfully, and will often set up ambushes to chase her prey into.
Weaknesses:
She is very quick to fight and often doesn't think before engaging another wolf in battle. During lean seasons, she will feed older members of the pack before the pups, often resulting in the death of many of the pups.

Dima does not want to take a mate, opting instead to rule the pack alone.

Personality:
Cisco is a soft spoken wolf, one to never known as to get so mad that he's steaming. But he is known to get frustrated easily. Often he just expresses his anger by haveing short, sharp conversations with almost every wolf. He tends to cool off after a little while, but while he's still mad, it's still best to avoid him if you don't want to get chewed out. He tries to hold his temper so that his packmates don't began to get warry of him or even get mixed feelings for him. Often Cisco sees tired, but it's his new way of showing his frustration.
Don't get Cisco wrong through. He has his moments where he's truely full of happienss that he'll even joke about things. He'll even relax sometimes and hang out with his pack memembers. But most of the time he's just a devoted leader and probably tries harder then he should.

Body Type:
Cisco has a pure, thick, Mexican wolf coat and structure. His fur is home to an aray of nutral colors, mostly grays and browns. He's not freakishly tall, but he's about in the 2.5 ft range, maybe add a couple inches. It's not that his legs could stretch for miles, it's partly just the way he carries himself. He stands straight up, even when hunting he looks large. Infact, when hunting, he doesn't bunch down onto his forelegs, but instead he spreads his legs out in front of him and his back legs coiled beneath him. Giving the look to his prey that he's not there, but up close her towers an inch or so.
But what covers his large structure is, like stated before, an array of earthy colors. Mostly just white, browns, and grey hairs cover his body. But black fur can be seen as sort of semi-strips on her back close to his neck.

Personality:
Nike is a normaly, well victorious wolf. Most of the time she wins, be it in a game, fighting, or conversations. The other half of the time she does loses because she either was distracted, tired, or simply she "let" the opponet win- which in Nike speak, is that she failed like any other wolf. When the she-wolf loses she often gets angery at herself and those that won. She doesn't stop untill sometimes later she wins that against person, and will go for help if needed. But when she does win, or ties even though she doesn't like tying with someone, her mood is better and usally lets other relax. Then Nike is joyful and easy to talk to with out her blowing up. She has a habbit of making fun of the other pack. So she can be rude and have a bad temper when things don't go her way.

Body Type:
Nike's coloring is made up of calm colors. She doesn't have any dark browns or black, but mostly just greys and dirty whites. From her shoulders down and back, grey mostly dominates from shades from light grey to darker greys. Her eyes are that of a pale yellow. Every color about Nike seems pale as she was born during the winter and her mother did have a dominate whit ecoat while her mate had a light grey coat. Nike's whole family line were made of light colored, lean built, and swift wolves.
Her bones that support Nike make her look small and frigile, more like a hutner. But that's not true. Her bones are lean, allowing the female to movuver quickly and get in good jabs before dashing out again. Her jabs are enforced with thickly padded paws, ones made to run in the snow. Her paws and jaws are about the strongest thing abourt Nike. Her height doens't help her greatly as she's at an averege height and weight, but it doens't hold her back either.

Personality:
Clayton was basicly a loner from birth. He mostly just keeps to himself, only talking to other wolves that he likes. His moods are like an open book. You'll known when he's irritated because his ears will be layed back and he'll look at you like he wouldn't mind if you just vanished. Another example is that if he's happy/glad, the things that would normaly tick him off has less affect on him. Plus there's this feeling around him that it's gunna be alright for awhile.
Another part of Clayton is that he's loyal. Even though his mother didn't pay much attention to him, she did teach all of her pups that if you make a promise that you have to keep it. Clayton grew this superstition that if you break your promise, that bad, scarey things will come upon you bought to you by Death himself. Now Clayton doesn't voice this silly thing, but he keeps it in his mind if he ever thinks about breaking a promise.

Body Type:
Clayton has the basic grey wolf fur color. His legs are all that pasty white color with brown mingling in when his legs connect to his body. Mostly that pasty white color is at the tip of all of his furs, casuing his fur to look as if he was lightly snowed on. His fur at a distance looks as that of a human's hair when it hasn't been washed in awhile. But it's actully jsut that his fur is thicker in some areas. His thick fur cause him to weigh about 138lbs and 2'10"in height.

Personality
From when Iason was a small pup to now a grown adult, he has been loyal to his pack. Although in his early pup days, he has been very naughty and quite a prankster. He would trick his mother and siblings for the fun of it. Of course he never quite thought much of it, being only a mere youngster. Over the years, Iason has matured and looks back on his childhood with amusement and a little embarrassment of all his jokes. Now he is a well put together and respected wolf, although a little of the joking pup he used to be is still there.
Iason will sometimes crack under pressure if wolves pester him enough. Although if it is a serious problem, he will ignore the insists of others and go with his own beliefs unless otherwise. He does not believe that anything is impossible, for he is a very determined wolf at times. He will keep on trying, for better or for worse. He is a quick learner and has a remarkable memory.
Iason is a difficult wolf to win by the heart. He usually stays focus on the pack, not on females. But if you can get that trickster side of him out, Iason will probably open up to you. But I must warn you, that is very challenging. He tries hard to hide it to get respect from other members.

Body Type
Iason is one of the bulky and strong wolves in the pack. But surprisingly, Iason is pretty light on his feet. He is not the quickest, but not the slowest either. He is a average wolf when it comes to height. Iason is not the strongest jumper. He can jump a relatively long stretch, like most wolves, but he cannot jump very farther than that.

Iason loves pups, even though he hides it. He dreams of having his own, but then he scolds himself and says that the pack needs him more.
