Tideclan was founded by three cats - Wavestar, Sandblossom and Tidefur.
They loved and worshipped the cat goddess of the ocean - Kaia. That meant that
they also loved and worshipped the ocean itself. Legends said that Kaia would
bless you if you entered the ocean exactly at midnight.
So that's what the three founders did. They waited until the sky was as dark as
they'd ever seen it and they stepped into the ocean.
Immediately, light started gathering around them, illuminating the shadowy night
so much that the founders thought the sun had risen already. And then, an aqua
spirit in the shape of a cat appeared in front of them.
"I am Kaia, goddess of the ocean." she said, smiling. "You are the bravest cats I
have seen in a long time. I now bless you and all the members that will join your
clan with little control over the ocean and ocean life, and the ability to breathe
underwater. Your cats will adore any form of water as well."
After Kaia said these words, she conjured a small wave and sent them back to
their camp. Now, all the cats of Tideclan honour Kaia more than ever, waiting
to see who will be the next to encounter this mystical goddess.
