♥~Flameclan's Destiny~♥

Flameclan is the noblest and strongest of all the clans. They have made it through every struggle still strong and proud. Then, a sickness flows through their clan, destroying it completely. Now, they must rebuild it. So many cats died, but the ones who are young survived. Now it is their turn to make Flameclan strong again. They must do it all, with no adults left but one Queen and the medicine cat, the apprentices of Flameclan must rebuild the clan, bring up the kits with the help of one Queen, and hunt and patrol all on their own. What will become of Flameclan? Will you help? Or will you give up and become a rouge...or worse: a kittypet? Flameclan needs you, will you stay, or will the strongest clan in history become nothing but a memory?

~The medicine cat will choose the leader and Deputy. Until than, she/he will name the new warriors. There can be a couple of young warriors left. Only one Queen. About 10 kits, since the one Queen kits weren't the only ones that survived. No leader or deputy yet, we'll make them along the way, and no elders yet.

.:The Warrior Code:.

1. Defend your Clan, even with your life. You may have friendships with cats from other Clans, but your loyalty must remain to your Clan, as one day you may meet them in battle.

2. Do not hunt or trespass on another Clan's territory.

3. Elder's and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders.

4. Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to StarClan for it's life.

5. A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice.

6. Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name.

7. A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice.

8. The deputy will become Clan leader when the leader dies or retires.

9. After the death or retirement of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen before moonhigh.

10. A gathering of all four Clans is held at the full moon during a truce that lasts for the night. There shall be no fighting among Clans at this time.

11. Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats.

12. No warrior may neglect a kit in pain or in danger, even if that kit is from a different Clan.

13. The word of the Clan leader is the warrior code.

14. An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win his battles, unless they are outside the warrior code or it is necessary for self-defense.

15. A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet.

~Herbs & Medicines~

Borage Leaves:To be chewed and eaten. The plant can be distinguished by its small blue or pink star-shaped flowers and hairy leaves. Great for nursing queens as it helps increase their supply of milk. Also brings down fever.

Burdock Root: Tall stemmed sharp smelling thistle with dark leaves. Dig up the roots, wash off the dirt, chew into pulp. Can be applied to rat bites. Cures infection.

Catmint(or Catnip):Delicious smelling leafy plant. Hard to find in the wild. Often found in twoleg gardens. Best remedy for greencough.

Chervil:Sweet-smelling plant with large fern-like leaves and small white flowers. Juice of leaves can be used for infected wounds. Chewing the roots helps bellyaches.

Cobweb:Spiderwebs can be found all over the forest. When geting these, be careful not to bring the spider! Wrap around injury to soak up blood and keep wound clean. Stops bleeding.

Coltsfoot:Flowering plant kind of like a dandelion with yellow or white flowers. Chew leaves to help shortness of breath.

Comfrey:Large leaves, small bell-shaped flowers. Roots can be chewed into poultice to mend broken bones or soothe wounds.

Dock:Similar to Sorrel. Leaves can be chewed and applied to soothe scratches.

Dried Oak Leaf:Collect in Autumn, store in dry place. Stops infections.

Feverfew:Small bush, flowers like daisies. Leaves may be eaten to cool body temperature. Best for cats with fever or chills.

Goldenrod:Tall plant, bright yellow flowers. Poultice is great for healing wounds.

Honey:Sweet, golden liquid created by bees. Hard to collect without getting stung. Be careful! Great for soothing infections or the throats of cats who've breathed smoke.

Horsetail:Tall plant, bristly stems. Grows in marshy areas. Leaves can be chewed up and applied as a poultice to infected wounds.

Juniper Berries:Bush with spiky dark green leaves. Purple berries soothe bellyaches and help cats with trouble breathing.

Lavender:Small purple flowering plant. Cures fever.

Marigold:Bright orange or yellow flower. Grows low to ground. Petals or leaves can be chewed into pulp and applied as poultice to wounds. Stops infection.

Mouse Bile:Bad smelling liquid. The only remedy for ticks. Dab a little moss soaked bile on a tick. It will fall right off. Be sure to wash paws in running water afterwards.

Poppy Seed:Small black seeds shaken from a dried poppy flower. Help cats sleep. Good for cats in shcok or distressed. Not recommended for nursing queens.

Stinging Nettle:Spiny green seeds can be administered to a cat who's swallowed poison. Leaves can be applied to bring down swelling.

Tansy:Strong-smelling plant. Round yellow flowers. Good for curing coughs. Must be eaten in small doses.

Thyme:Can be eaten to calm anxiety and frayed nerves.

Watermint:Leafy green plant fond in streams or damp earth. Usually chewed into pulp and fed to cat suffering bellyache.

Wild Garlic:Rolling in patches of wild garlic can help prevent infection. Especially for dangerous wounds like rat bites.

Yarrow:Flowering plant whose leaves can be made into a poultice and applied to wounds or scratches to expel poison.

Horseplace:Fields and stables where half tamed cats live.

Housefolk:A kittypet's word for its humans.

Kittypet:A house cat.

Leaf-bare:Winter.

Leaf-fall:Fall/Autumn.

Loner:Cat that lives peacefully on its own in one place but doesn't defend it's territory.

Monster:Human machine. (Cars, bulldozers, ect.)

Moonhigh:The time of night when the mon is at its highest. Often midnight.

Mouse-brained:Not very smart.

Mouse dung:An insult. Stronger than mouse-brain, but less offensive than fox dung.

Newleaf:Spring.

Nofurs:Another word for humans.

One moon:One month. (Half-moon:Two weeks, Quarter-Moon:One week.)

Rogue:A potentially hostiel cat who lives outside the Clans and never spends too long in one place.

Sharing Tounges:Term used to describe cats grooming each other.

Silverpelt:The Milky Way.

Sun-drown-place:The sea to the West where the sun sets. (Or any ocean.)

Sunhigh:Noon.

Thunderpath:A road.

Tree-eater:Bull dozer.

Twoleg nest:A human house.

Twolegplace:A human town.

Twolegs:The Clans' word for humans.

Upwalkers:Another word for humans.

Whitecough:Mild chest infection.
