INTRODUCTION
Some might say all the traditions of this clan began when Birdstar was the leader, but that wouldn't
be quite correct, would it? It all truly began when the clan was still quite new, when Duskstar was
the leader himself. He had always been jealous of the pairs in the clan, as he had never had another
simply love him that way, so he made the tradition of assigned mates. The clan refused to accept it
until Duskstar had begun threatening their families, growing madder and madder with each day. He
enforced the rules to the point of exile or murder with anyone who refused to follow them. Not one
cat had been able to get him to think clearly, and he had made a reputation for himself for any cat
out of the clan. It didn't take much for him to rename the clan after himself, but he chose to keep
the former leader's tradition out of respect. Once cats have turned 15 moons, then it's time for their
assigning ceremony to have someone until death do they part. Perhaps one day, someone will stand
against the leader's tradition.

In-Character Rules
• The word of the leader is law
• During every hunting assessment, the cat must catch
a bird and keep one or several feathers from it behind
their ear
• Once a cat turns 15 moons, then it's time for an assigning
ceremony to assign mates to them
• If any cat refuses to have an assigned mate, then their
punishment is either exile or murder, depending on how
deeply they have offended the leader
• If a loner impresses the leader in some way, they may
join the clan as a warrior
• But if loners and rogues are caught trespassing, they are
taken to a certain part of the territory called the Pit and
kept as prisoners
• No young cats are allowed to be near the Pit
• Young loners are allowed to join the clan as apprentices
