❈❈❈ ━━ life in willowclan is a thrill so to speak. a peaceful clan that resides in a vast meadow,
tucked away in a quiet forest. here the clan has lived for many generations, but the peacefulness
of the meadow is about to change. a illness has begun to take over the clan, and the clan has no
idea what has caused it. the illness only effects certain cats, so the clan has no way of telling if
its because of one reason or another. starclan remains silent on the matter, though finally when
the clan's leader dies a message is sent ━ not to the medicine cat, but the new leader of the
clan. upon receiving the message, the leader is overwhelmed and unsure of starclan's words, but
there is little time to worry. the clan is losing members quickly, and somehow willowclan must
find the cause of the illness. whether they succeed or not is another matter, but one thing still
remains; if they don't find a answer the clan will perish and the peaceful meadow will become
one of silence, haunted by the souls of the felines of willowclan.

territory

willowclan resides in a peaceful meadow, tucked away in a vast forest. the meadow is rather large,
with the occasional rolling hill here and there. a few streams cut through the meadow, which serves
as the clan's water source. the forest is a bit of a distance from the clan, so a majority of hunting is
done in the meadow.

prey and threats

willowclan's main source of prey is rabbits, birds, squirrels, and rodents. snakes can also be prey,
but a considered a threat majority of the time, especially toward young apprentices and kits. fish
are also occasional prey, caught at one of the many streams. wolves, birds of prey, and as stated
before snakes are the main predators, and the rare but not unheard of two-legs though this is
extremely rare.

season and weather

new-leaf is here, and the flowers are in bloom. the beautiful songs from the sparrows can also be heard,
the distant chatter of squirrels, and rabbits can be seen playing in the meadow. its nice weather for the
time being, not too warm and not too cool. the occasional breeze is welcoming, and it is shortly after
dawn though the clan isn't as welcoming to the morning as they had been previously.

"one's illness cannot be cured by herbs or by the paws of starclan. the only cure is the clan itself. once
one finds the cure, among the clan the illness shall pass, but only in the eyes of said clan."

Dawn had finally arrived, though one couldn't simply tell by looking around. The sky was overcast and the very atmosphere seemed as gloomy as the sky above. The sparrows still sang their mornings tunes, while the critters in the undergrowth skittered around. In a certain camp however, all was silent. At least, it seemed as such to a certain tom. Owlwatcher laid in the leader's den, which would now be his. After the loss of their leader from the illness known as the plague, Owlwatcher had gained the role of leader. However, the tom hadn't been ready at least in his eyes. He was overwhelmed with grief, and his anxious nature didn't help. He doubted himself heavily, his insecurities overwhelming the tom alongside his grief. He felt like running away, but he one couldn't run away from their problems. He refused to call the den his, he'd only begun to even sleep in it a few nights ago. The tom had also put off journeying to the Moonstone to receive his lives and truly become leader of the clan. He hadn't even chosen a deputy, there was so many cats he believed would be perfect for the role...if only he could choose someone to take over the role of being a leader. He didn't know if it was even possible, but he doubted Starclan would approve of such things. Their own leader definitely wouldn't have. Owlwatcher let out a heavy breath, before slowly rising to his paws with a groan. He didn't know what to do at this point, but he didn't have time to mope in the den. However, he felt exhausted and he didn't even want to step a paw outside the den. If, only Badgerstar was with him, the old tom always knew exactly what to do. He knew nothing. And he was expected to lead the clan? "Great Starclan, how could you expect such a thing?", he muttered. He let out a breath, before sitting down heavily, memories of their previous leader clouding his mind. He definitely couldn't do this. But he had no choice, and sooner or later he'd have to leave this den and face the clan. Just the thought made him want to curl up and hide in here forever. But no such thing would happen, if he wanted it to or not. Just another awful day it seemed. Another awful day.

It had been quite a shock to the clan when Badgerstar had passed away and joined Starclan. Honestly, the plague itself had been quite a surprise, and honestly the clan feared it. No one had a single idea on what the cause of the plague was and no one knew the cure. It was a disease no one had ever seen before, not even the elders had a idea on what it could be. The medicine cats had no answer, Starclan had been silent on the matter and remains so. The plague had devastated the clan and unfortunately, claimed their own leader Badgerstar. Briskwind didn't know what to believe on the matter, she only knew along with the rest of the clan that if a cure wasn't found soon the clan would perish. She felt bad for the medicine cats, who were no doubt under a intense amount of pressure. She knew some members would probably be pressuring them even more, and perhaps even themselves. She hoped everything would be clear soon, but that seemed impossible. Her tail flicked as she let out a sigh, taking a quick glance around the camp. Owlwatcher was no help at the moment, he hadn't even made the journey to the Moonstone. Briskwind knew everyone was struggling at this point, with grief and fear. But what could one do in such a time? There wasn't much hope as things didn't look like they would be lightening up anytime soon.

Sootstripe didn't really know how to act with the current situation of the clan. He was still cheerful for the most part, his normal attitude hadn't changed. At least, on the outside. The tom was currently lying in his nest, his tail swaying slowly as he gazed around at his fellow denmates. He let out a quiet breath, wondering about the plague that had been terrorizing the clan for the past two moons. He sometimes wonder if these would be his last days, though he wasn't ready to join his old friends in Starclan. Speaking of Starclan he wondered why they hadn't sent them some prophecy about a cure, or about the cause of the plague. Had they done something to anger Starclan thus they had cursed the clan with a plague? He inhaled at the thought, before shaking his head and letting out a tired sigh. He was sure the clan would think of something to end this, they had always pulled through. Still, there was always that lingering doubt. And that lingering doubt refused to leave. Perhaps, the plague would be the same.

Hailwhisker had been an apprentice when the plague had begun two moons ago. He was now a young warrior, and if anything he expected of warriorhood it wasn't this. Everyone was stressed and on edge, honestly the very air seemed to squeeze the tom. Truth be told he didn't like it, though he didn't seem any different from his usual expressionless nature. He let out a breath, as he laid in camp watching as the clan awoke. There had been no sign of Owlwatcher all morning, though everyone knew where the tom was. The tom let out a sigh, before laying his head on his paws, awaiting on what the day would bring.

Something called the plague was terrorizing the clan, everyone seemed to be talking about it and worried about it. Thrushpaw? She thought it was one of the coolest things. No one knew the cure and no one knew how the plague spread. But it was something cool and mysterious to the young apprentice. She twisted around in her nest, as she gazed at her fellow denmates wondering if they thought the same way or if they were like everyone else and feared it. It was just a plague after all, the medicine cats would cure the clan at some point. Everyone needed to relax. She rolled her eyes, before springing out of her nest and tumbling out of the apprentice den. Her gaze flickered around the camp, before settling down nearby the entrance. The camp was awfully quiet and she was sure it wasn't just because it was early. Either way, this was a perfect time to get down to business. She swiped her tongue over her muzzle, a mischievous smile appearing on her face, as she crouched in the shadows of the camp. Now it was simply time to find targets and have a bit of fun during this boring time.

featherpaw woke up slowly, starting with her tail and the sensation travelling up into her nose. she smelled food... good food. her eyes opened and she rolled over in her moss bed, wondering what the day would bring. with so many sick cats, there would be lots of gathering to do, so she was sure thistlegaze was waiting for her. featherpaw got up onto her feet and shook moss off her coat, then trotted out into the clearing of the camp. she took a seat and looked around, trying to get a glimpse of thistlegaze if she could.
