[ Shores and Summits ] Open

...these cats lived in peace together. They were united, known as Laurelclan.

After many moons and a new leader, cats were unhappy with the change of leadership. They felt that the new leader was too harsh and not as kind as the previous one. A revolt was started, and the clan split into two sides. One side wanted to follow the new leader, and the other side wanted to vote for a new leader.

A civil war within the clan started, and blood was shed. A decision was made for the clan to fully separate into the regular camps.

Generations have passed. Both of the clans, Shoreclan and Summitclan, are thriving. There has been peace for a long time, and cats have remained in their own territory. At least... until now.

Recently, a battle during a gathering at the Old Sycamore broke out. Starclan gave the two clans an ultimatum: try to make peace for the final time or make a third clan act as a barrier between them.

For the two clans, peace was not an option. Now Sycamoreclan stands in the way and protects the peace.

Season:
newleaf - greenleaf - leaf-fall - leafbare

Weather:
coast - rainy at around 40 degrees
mountain - snowstorms at around 20 degrees
forest - snowy at around 30 degrees

Territory:
The three clans are located along the California Coast Ranges.
Shoreclan - land is coast, territory is far across the sand, shelter is caves dug in the sand with a tunnel system.
Summitclan - land is one of the mountains on the range, territory is very large, shelter is a large rocky cave with little caves.
Sycamoreclan - land is between clans in a forest, territory is smallest, shelter is hollow trees, trunks, and fallen trees.
The peak of the highest mountain is where leaders and medicine cats go to speak with Starclan. All clans are allowed to go to the peak as long as there is peace. This place is known as the "Everlasting Mountain".

Prophecy:
"It shall be on the day that prey kills predator, a breakdown shall mark the end of peace and the start of sin."

His night had been filled with terrible dreams that taunted him, causing him to toss and turn in his bedding. By morning, Ripplestar had given up trying to keep his eyes closed without remembering Mapleglow. He made his way out of his den, walking through the wide and tall tunnel system within the hill by the beach. Other cats were milling around, some walking along the shore or remaining on the dry sand. Ripplestar decided to step onto the wet sand, imprinting his paw pads onto the ground. At least here he was calm and serene.

As soon as she woke up, Nettlepaw began her duties by sorting the herbs and making sure that there were enough in stock. She used a claw to pick through the poppy seeds and counted them, making a mental note of how many there were. By the time she was halfway through, Nettlepaw forgot. She gritted her teeth in frustration and pushed them all in a pile, starting over. This is so tedious, she thought to herself. Finally, she got the total number and managed to remember it. The clan would have enough for about five days, then she would most likely be the one to get more.
