MeadowClan is the most peaceful of the three clans that live on the other side of the mountains. Their first leader, Dapplestar, did not believe fighting was necessarily the answer to everything, whereas Wolfstar, the leader of WolfClan, believed the opposite. Dapplestar always found a way around fights, and settled them as quickly as they started. It seemed he never angered. Sadly, one time he was not as lucky in his attempts to avoid a battle. Dapplestar lost 7 lives that day, and was very frail for his remaining two. Despite this, he continued to spend his remaining lives desperately trying to convince the other two clans of his peaceful solutions. Then, when he was on his last life, and near death, a StarClan cat came down saw him laying there, trembling from his fever that would kill him, and she had pity. She spoke, Dapplestar, we have come to a decision. Your clan is very peaceful, and we respect all you have done, but it also has much potential as a strongly defensive clan. Not every battle can be avoided. That said: once a moon StarClan will choose two of your apprentices to train with us for six moons, then bring back as strong full-fledged warriors, as long as your clan is willing to show its teeth when attacked. Dapplestar nodded in agreement, and tried to stand up as his deputy came in. In a raspy voice he explained what had happened to their clan, and how she would have to lead it, before collasping, and falling into a sleep he would never wake from. To this day, MeadowClan is still the most peaceful, and still avoids fighting for the most part, but not at all costs. They are often considered the balance between the two more bitter clans, and keep war from breaking out every gathering. Also, thanks to Dapplestar, there is a ritual in place, that two apprentices are chosen every moon to train with the cats of StarClan.

Goldenstar | open

It was lonely. In the leader's den, that was. Every time that he lay down in the leader's den, he was reminded of past leaders- more prominently, deputies. His mentor, Brightflutter... the she-cat had been so kind and polite regarding her position and instructions to others, and he was grateful to have been mentored by the former deputy. However, now she was gone, and he took up her position as a deputy. And soon after, leader.

And now he was Goldenstar, within the leader's den as the sun rose carefully into the sky outside of the quaint MeadowClan camp, alone... did he mind it? He didn't know. He didn't want to think about it. Decisively the mottled tom rose to his paws, flipping his tail from side to side as he tidied up his den a bit, situating the moss carefully into its usually nest-like position. After he'd finished, or finished to which he considered it finished, he exited the den and padded on simple and easy pawsteps out into the camp, bright golden eyes sweeping around as if to see if anyone was awake, as if to see if his deputy was sorting patrols... to see if anyone would be around to break the still silence that now blanketed the area.

Silently slipping out of the apprentices den, Spiritpaw made his way quickly to the entrance of MeadowClan's entrance. With his light pawsteps and night black fur, one could have mistaken him for a shadow if they were tired enough. His eyes were the only thing that gave him away. Always dark and nearly emotionless, a gleam in them made it seem as though someone had breathed life into chips of ice. Ever since he had come to the clan, he was seen as an outsider. He always was though, but deep down he knew that the clan was his home. The rosy light that blanketed the fields of their territory gave him warmth. As soon as Spiritpaw was away from camp he felt more relaxed, and this allowed him to lower his guard just a bit.
