For longer than anyone can remember DuskClan has resided in this shadowy dreary forest. They have withstood the test of time, rising to the top while other clan's have fallen and disappeared. Their rules and traditions are strict, all cats get assigned mates once they are warriors and will only be reassigned if their mate is exiled or killed. Anyone found to be breaking this tradition is exiled. And the warrior code must be followed at any cost. These were laid in place by the great Duskstar himself, first leader of DuskClan! This was his vision of a perfect clan. But the clan hasn't always been like this.
Duskstar, wasn't the true first leader, Dawnstar was.. And she called this clan DawnClan. Back then there were three other clans surrounding DawnClan and they lived in harmony for a very long time.. When Duskstar took over he wasn't as great and legendary as the stories say.. You see he was a cruel and ambitious leader. He created these assigned mates because he believed it tested the loyalty of the cats. He though it would keep them from being too friendly with their enemies and prove who was weak and needed to be disposed of... And so he created these traditions and rules and changed DawnClan to DuskClan, setting out to destroy all those who got in his way.. And although he wasn't the direct cause of the fall of the other clans he definitely helped it along. Now they are nothing but a distant memory, and assigned mates is all anyone knows.. But the clan has begun to speak out against this. Crying out for freedom, for justice! They want to choose their own mates and their own futures! Will you help them? Or will you be one of the believers of this ancient code?
